When Edward James got into his room that night he was full of smiles as he can't believe the girl of his dreams is finally in his home. Looking at his hands which held unto her twice in one night made him feel like a teenager in love. The ringing sound of his phone brought him out of his thoughts.
" Hello Kris" he said over the phone
"How's she feeling now?. Kristen asked but it surprised Edward
" How did you_ it was you isn't it" Edward asked when he got the clue after matching all dots together.
"Yes am responsible for that_ she had know where to go not that I can't take care of her but she won't accept fortunately, I got notified that you were at Crunch so I asked Leo for help" Kris said then continued " How's she now?" he asked again.
"She's good I think_ how's Mia doing" asked Edward.
"She's good, now used to her new home_ no more nightmares or crying. In all she's good" Kristen said
"Do you think I should tell her about Mia, I don't want to be the bad guy if she finds out" Edward James asked
" Let's give her some time and you should use this time to help her health, I can offer you some tips on handling women if you want but not for free_ you know am good with women I_" Kristen was saying but his wife's voice interrupted him as she questions his last statement about good with women. Edward scoffed before saying to Kristen " Now I know how good you're with women, that serves you right" he said then hung up before going into the shower.
In the following days Maria Moore stayed in the James mansion and wasn't allowed to leave the house by herself. She has to go out with a servant and a guard or just the guard.
Though she just wants to go away from there to anywhere life take her but she can't as the young master Edward has restricted her from doing so.
Funny enough she hasn't seen him since the night he brought her to the mansion, he's out before she gets out of bed and comes back late after she's gone to bed at night.
Today being Saturday and having rested enough for three days in a roll she made plans to see the young master Edward, so she came out quite earlier. Edward was kind enough to get her some clothes and other female essentials. She's dressed in a yellow mixed with blue flowered mid length gown, she let her black sea waves half down. This was the view Edward James saw as he came out of his bedroom, he stood at the stairs top watching her descend the stairs.
"Good morning ma'am, what do you want for breakfast" the cook asked as she always does.
" I'll eat what ever you prepare_ has the young master gone out?" She asked the Cook who looked behind her up the stairs as young master Edward descend the stairs gracefully.
"Good morning young master Edward" the cook greeted and left for the kitchen
"Good morning young_" Maria Moore was saying
"Good morning Ms Moore, hope your night was good?" He asked.
"Yes my night was good. Can I_" she was saying
"Let's have breakfast" Edward James said interrupting her.
All through the meal Edward stole glances at her and he admired how she eats. Wiping his mouth after eating he drank a glass of water still surprised how she hasn't looked at him.
' is she shy or scared of me_ no please don't be scared of me I'll appreciate if you're shy" Edward thought to himself.
"Is there something you want to talk about, I heard you asking the cook about me" Edward James asked her which made her look at him.
"Yes, I want to thank you for your kindness, am truly grateful" she said
"Glad you are okay" Edward James said but knew she wasn't done yet.
"Well_ I want to leave, please ask your security not to stop me". Maria Moore said, what she said about leaving got Edward James angry but he didn't let show.
"Where exactly are you going_ I don't mean any harm neither am I trying to stop you. You can go wherever you want but I don't think this is the right time to show your face to the world" Edward James paused then continued
" Everyone else thinks you're dead and buried but just few people knows you still exist. The doctor who attended to you is my friend and he asked me for a favor, which is you" he told her and he found it funny that he's explaining himself to her which makes him feel like he's talking too much.
"I can't just sit by everyday doing nothing and am sure you won't let me help around here" she said as she gestured round the house with her hands which made him smile.
" I was told you majored in design" Edward James said pretending he knows nothing about her.
" Yes, I did but from what you said I can't reveal my face to the outside world yet" Maria Moore said
"We'll see about that_ hope the issue of you not leaving is settled?" Edward James asked so he'll know what he'll use to trap her down.
"Yes it's settled and am grateful for your kindness" Maria Moore appreciated him before she continued eating.
