"The training has begun… So why are we inside a library studying?!" Sai thought to himself as he listened to Asher teach about the history of the empire and some basic knowledge about swordsmanship.
They are in the library having a lesson which is not what Sai expected to happen. He thought they would begin with the sword training but no. It's as if they hired a private teacher instead of a trainer.
Sai raised his hand to get Asher's attention. "What is it, Sai?" Asher took notice of Sai.
Sai got irritated because he's been called by his name. Ever since the 'training' began Asher had dropped all the formalities for both Sai and Lucas.
Sai lowered his hand and spoke. "Master, I thought our training would begin now… So, why are we having a lecture now?!"
Lucas nodded to Sai's statement as an agreement. "Sai is right, uncle."
Asher shook his head and went closer to them. "You two are still kids. I couldn't possibly make you both hold a sword yet. And besides, kids should learn about a lot of things first before becoming a leader, right? Sai, you're the future emperor and Lucas, you are the future duke. So, I will be also teaching you some things you guys need to know about!"
"Then when will we start holding a sword? I mean since we will be training first, we will be using a wooden sword first, right?" Sai asks Asher.
"And we will only be training for two years. You said we are still young to hold a sword. In two years, I will only turn 8 and Sai will be 7." Lucas added.
Asher thought about something. He seems to forget something. "Ah! I forgot to inform both of you. Your training has been extended."
"What do you mean extended?" Sai said to Asher.
"The training won't end in two years." Asher keeps stopping every sentence which irritates both of the kids.
Lucas was getting impatient. "Then when?" Lucas said.
"In five years! Both of you will be training and taking lessons from me for five years. So, good luck for the both of you." Asher finally said it.
"FIVE YEARS?!" Both Sai and Lucas said at the same time.
"Did my father change his mind?!" Sai said.
Lucas slams his hand on the table. "I only agreed to this because father said it's only for two years!"
"Now, now, both of you please calm down and stop screaming, both of you. This is the library, remember?" Asher looks mad since they started screaming.
Sai and Lucas immediately shut their mouths and sat back in their chairs. They don't want to anger Asher since he is scary when he's mad.
Asher smiled at them and both of them felt chills. "Now let me explain."
