Another wolf darted at him from behind, jaws wide open, ready to tear at Tianyu's neck.

Tianyu raised his hand, and the golden blade from his First Soul appeared again—this time larger and sharper. With a spinning motion, he swung it—

The wolf's head was cleanly severed from its body.
The remaining young Cyan Wolves froze, their bodies trembling. Some began to back away, but Tianyu had no intention of letting them escape.
"You chose to attack—now face the consequences."
With speed too fast to be seen, he moved through them—every step followed by the sound of air-shaking impacts, taking down wolf after wolf. In mere seconds, the entire pack had fallen, green blood soaking the forest floor.
From the bodies of each fallen Cyan Wolf, a white soul ring rose above their corpses.
Tianyu stopped, taking a deep breath. "Hah…" He then turned his gaze to the three remaining wolves—the strongest ones, each over a hundred years old.
The lead wolf growled at Tianyu, then, together with the other two, launched an attack.
Green blood from the fallen young Cyan Wolves still dripped onto the ground as the three hundred-year-old wolves moved. They surrounded Tianyu from three directions, their yellow eyes glowing with hatred.
"Grrgh…!" the lead wolf growled, giving a signal.
Instantly—
SHAA!
The three of them shot forward simultaneously, their speed far surpassing the younger ones. The air hissed as their claws slashed through it, aiming at Tianyu from multiple angles.
Tianyu channeled soul power into his bones and activated the character "龙" (dragon). Instantly, a golden light enveloped him and the character "龙" reappeared on the back of his hand.
Now, with his physical strength tripled, Tianyu could easily overpower the three wolves. The wolves narrowed their eyes—but they didn't stop their assault.
Tianyu didn't dodge. With the "龙" character activated, his body now had a mysterious protective layer that made him incredibly resilient.

Tianyu didn't even move.

The wolf's fangs and claws shattered the moment they touched Tianyu's body. Both wolves cried out in pain, staggering backward.
With a single step, Tianyu was already in front of the second wolf.
The pack leader—the last one remaining—began to flee.
"Useless."
Tianyu raised his hand, and the golden sword shot out like an arrow, piercing through the pack leader's back and embedding itself deep in the ground far ahead.
Slowly, a yellowish-purple spirit ring rose above the wolf leader's body. From the other two corpses, yellow spirit rings appeared as well.
Dark green blood flowed freely. The Cyan Wolf pack had been completely annihilated.
Tianyu scanned his surroundings, ensuring no threats remained. His body was still wrapped in golden energy, but he felt far from satisfied.
"They were too weak. I need an opponent who can truly test my limits."
Suddenly, a deep growl echoed from ahead.

The sound didn't come from an ordinary creature. Its resonance pierced through the forest, shaking the air and sending birds flying in panic from afar.
From the shadows of the trees emerged a towering figure—a five-meter-tall bear. Its body was covered in thick, dark bluish-black fur that gleamed like steel. Its eyes glowed red with vertical pupils, emanating a fearsome, suffocating aura.
Tianyu narrowed his eyes. "Mountain Crush Bear...!"
This soul beast was a rare mutation of the Dark Gold Terror Claw Bear, one of the strongest bear species in soul beast history. Known for their overwhelming offense and defense, the Dark Gold Terror Claw Bears possessed dark golden fur as tough as metal and claws sharp enough to inspire their terrifying name. These creatures stood at the top of the food chain—even true dragons avoided challenging them directly.
However, the Mountain Crush Bear was an even more terrifying mutation—in one specific aspect: defense. This variation gave it body durability far beyond its original race. Although its offensive power was slightly diminished, its near-impenetrable body made it a nightmare to defeat.

As Tianyu pondered, the Mountain Crush Bear raised both massive forelimbs—

It slammed the ground. Massive cracks spread in all directions, and the shockwave launched Tianyu into the air.
He was thrown several meters back by the force, but with superb reflexes, he flipped mid-air and landed perfectly atop a large boulder. His eyes burned with determination as he analyzed his opponent.
"All right. Let's test my current strength," Tianyu muttered as he activated his Second Spirit Ring.
The Mountain Crush Bear roared ferociously, causing the surrounding trees to shake violently. With astonishing speed for its size, the giant bear lunged forward, its massive claw swinging down like a giant blade toward Tianyu.
SHOOOM!
Tianyu leapt to the side just as the claw obliterated the boulder he had been standing on into scattered shards. In one fluid motion, he countered:
"Golden Dragon Breaker Mark!"
His second spirit ring glowed even brighter. Then, his right fist—shining with golden light—struck the bear's side.
BAM! A metallic echo rang out. While the strike didn't penetrate the bear's defense, a small glowing symbol, "破" (Break), appeared at the point of impact.
