Chapter 66 - Chapter 65: Dinamo Zagreb

"I watched your games in Bosnia, they were amazing. You made those big, dumb guys look like complete fools."

Stepping out of the old director's office, Dikamoki took off his priest's robes and started cursing.

"And that guy who tackled you, that kind of scumbag deserves a serious lesson. If all of us from the orphanage were there, we'd definitely make him suffer."

Dikamoki seemed even more excited than Suk.

They walked together towards Dikamoki's room. He tossed Suk's backpack onto the table and said, "Wait here a moment."

With that, Dikamoki ran out.

When he returned, he was holding a turkey in one hand and a bag with six canned beers in the other.

"Don't tell me you can't drink because you're a professional player? I'm a priest, and I drink!"

Dikamoki skillfully opened a can of beer and handed it over. Suk took it and asked, "Priests aren't allowed to drink?"

He remembered the old director drinking before!

"A small portion aren't allowed!" Dikamoki pointed to himself and said, "Too excellent, so I became part of that small portion."

They clinked cans and then tilted their heads back, taking a big gulp.

Suk had drunk alcohol before; he started drinking with the other orphanage kids when he was little.

It's just that he hadn't drunk much since becoming a professional player.

But today was an exception.

"I remember you wanted to be a singer, how did you become a clergyman?" Suk asked curiously.

Dikamoki sighed and looked at Suk resentfully, "It's because you all left one by one. Someone had to stay behind, right?"

"So you stayed?" Suk frowned.

Dikamoki took a sip of his beer.

"It's not just because of that. Didn't I say? Too excellent!"

Suk said unhappily, "So what are you too excellent at?"

"Singing!" Dikamoki grinned. "I was chosen when I went to church to sing hymns on Sundays. Now I'm a trainee clergyman, but I'll be managing the church choir in the future!"

Suk was stunned.

From singer to lead singer of the church choir?

That was too impressive!

"I don't have much to talk about here, except that I have to go to church for prayers every Sunday, the rest of the time I'm bored out of my mind." Dikamoki said, "Watching your games, I became a fan of football and started following the local Dinamo Zagreb."

Dikamoki's face was full of anger. "Those stupid brother are ruining Dinamo Zagreb. Half a season in, we're almost in the relegation zone!"

"We?"

Suk keenly noticed.

Dikamoki chuckled twice, opened his jacket, and inside was a Dinamo Zagreb jersey.

"I've already been captured by them."

Suk said unhappily, "You really are a clergyman who doesn't take his job seriously."

"It's just a job!" Dikamoki said casually. "I'm not a devout believer. The reason I work at the church is partly to maintain the orphanage, and partly to provide these children with a guarantee. After all, if no one inherits the old director's job, this orphanage will probably be shut down."

Speaking of which, Dikamoki said, "By the way, I received your money. That friend of yours told me a lot about you. I heard you even went to perform street diving?"

Suk's face stiffened.

He wanted to tear Kovic, that bigmouth, to pieces.

"To fill my stomach, I had no choice." Suk said casually.

Dikamoki laughed and said, "Your vitality has always been very tenacious!"

"Another one!"

Dikamoki handed over a new beer.

Suk took it, opened the cap, and continued to drink it down.

"I heard Locke went to England, what's going on?" Suk asked.

Dikamoki said, "That guy is a restless person. He's been like he has ADHD since he was a kid, and he's still the same when he grows up. But he didn't go to England, he went to America, first to Mexico, then smuggled himself in. But the old director doesn't know that."

Suk nodded. This style of action was very similar to Locke, who had a spirit of adventure.

"What about Vinnie?"

"She works at the port."

Suk frowned subconsciously, perhaps based on Oliveira's problem. He didn't think the port was a good place to work, especially for women.

Seeing Suk's expression, Dikamoki immediately said, "Don't get the wrong idea. She's doing accounting work. After all, she's the only one among us who went to school."

Suk breathed a sigh of relief.

Dikamoki sipped little by little, and soon felt a little tipsy, perhaps because he had drunk too much.

"The old director always said that we are all children blessed by the Lord. I agree with that. Those who didn't receive blessings are all lying there!" Dikamoki pointed to the lawn outside.

A look of sorrow also appeared on Suk's face.

"We have been abandoned, we have experienced war, we have experienced many hardships, so we must work hard to live a good life and give those who gave us hardships a good look!" Dikamoki grinned and said, "Just like that Chinese sentence you always said before!"

Dikamoki pointed to the sky, using clumsy Chinese.

"My fate is up to me, not the heavens!"

Suk immediately covered his forehead.

Dikamoki said, "I really like this sentence. It gives me the motivation to live. I don't want to take revenge on anyone, but I must live a good life and take my destiny into my own hands, so we all need to work hard... Hic~ ~ ~"

Dikamoki was obviously drunk.

Suk also felt bloated and didn't plan to drink any more.

Putting the dizzy Dikamoki on the bed, Suk covered him with a quilt and lay down on the sofa next to him, preparing to spend the night.

The night passed without incident.

The next morning, Dikamoki woke up groggily.

He looked around the room and didn't see Suk's figure, but Suk's backpack was on the table.

Dikamoki got up and walked out of the room, searching for a moment.

He finally saw Suk in a lawn near the entrance.

At this time, Suk was standing in the lawn.

In front of him were apples, bananas, biscuits, beef, and other foods placed on a plate.

But the key was the location where the plate was placed.

Although it is now dense grass here, 7 or 8 years ago, this was the entrance to a cave.

During that turbulent period, 11 children hid in this cave and lost their lives in that crazy massacre.

Not far from this cave, there was another cave, which was exactly where Suk, Dikamoki, Locke, Vinnie, and the old director were hiding.

If those thugs had seen that cave first, it is estimated that Suk would not be here now.

From a certain point of view, these eleven children saved their lives with their own lives.

"I don't know the sacrificial methods of the church, so I used the ones from my hometown!" Suk pointed to the food in front of him and said, "Bow, they saved our lives!"

Dikamoki looked at Suk's expression, and a trace of pain also appeared on his face.

The two bowed their heads slightly.

After completing the sacrifice, both of them felt a little relieved in their hearts.

"Do you have anything to do in a while?" Dikamoki asked.

Just as Suk was about to speak, a boy's cry came from the corridor.

"Suk! Suk! Someone is calling for you!"

Suk turned his head: "I guess I have to go out for a trip."

Suk took a bus to Maksimir Park.

He waited at the bus stop for about five minutes, and finally saw Modric rushing over.

"Here!"

Suk waved, and Modric immediately locked onto the target.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go!" Modric pulled Suk anxiously and said, "Hurry up, we're going to miss it!"

"Miss what?" Suk was dragged away by Modric, with a look of doubt on his face.

Modric said excitedly: "Dinamo Zagreb's game! Today is Besic's first show after his return."

"Besic?" Suk was still confused.

Who is this?

"Dinamo Zagreb's head coach, he was also my coach during my youth training. I respect him very much, let's go, let's go, let's talk as we walk!"

When mentioning Dinamo Zagreb, Modric became extremely excited.

He, who was usually taciturn, suddenly opened the chatterbox and kept talking non-stop.

From Modric's description, Suk gradually understood.

First of all, Besic is the head coach of Dinamo Zagreb. Last season, he was dismissed due to turmoil at the top.

Mosteccy brothers took over and served as head coach and assistant coach respectively.

During their tenure, the two brothers began to clean up Besic's remnants, selling off all those who did not obey, and leaving those who obeyed. People like Modric were directly assigned to the Bosnian league.

However, the good times did not last long. In just over a season, Dinamo Zagreb went from a team that had dominated the Croatian league for many years to a team that was directly in the relegation zone.

Under such huge changes, the top management could no longer withstand the pressure.

Pressure from fans, media opinions, etc., all put this Croatian giants into the limelight.

Finally, in the 18th round, Dinamo Zagreb announced the dismissal of the Mosteccy brothers and re-hired Besic to coach.

Besic became the firefighter coach, but at this time Dinamo Zagreb had been almost cleaned up.

Most of the team are direct descendants of the Mosteccy brothers. It is not known how capable they are, but Besic uses them very awkwardly.

The most important thing is that their opponent in this game is Lokomotiv Zagreb from the same city.

Christmas Eve!

The last game before the winter break!

Besic's return has made this game extremely popular!

Many fans who were originally disappointed have begun to return, hoping that Besic can lead the team to a victory that inspires people.

For this reason, the entire Dinamo Zagreb Stadium is full.

The stadium with nearly 40,000 people was filled, and crazy cheers and shouts rose and fell.

This is a fiery atmosphere that cannot be compared to the Bosnian league.

This enthusiasm even seems to melt the snowflakes floating in the sky.
