Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Claire In New World

Su Zhan watched Claire with a hint of uncertainty, wondering if she had truly changed after all that had transpired. There was a quiet determination in her eyes, but also a lingering innocence that made her seem untouched by the chaos she had witnessed. He took a deep breath and called out to the system.

"System, is this successful?" he asked.

"Yes," the system replied. "She will leave the fighting field with you when you exit. And, whenever you wish, you can send her back to the fighting field at any time."

Su Zhan nodded, understanding the implications. Anyone brought from another world was essentially under his control, able to be returned to the fighting field at his command. In a way, it was almost like having a cheat code. If someone from another universe arrived and became trapped, he could simply send them back, resetting the situation as if nothing had happened.

The system's voice sounded again, as if reading his thoughts. "In addition, host, once she leaves the fighting field and enters the main world, the system will activate the main world's random mission function."

Just as Su Zhan was about to explain the situation to Claire, the system's announcement caught him off guard.

"The main world random mission?" Su Zhan repeated, genuinely surprised. "What is this about? Why does the main world suddenly have missions? And are they truly random?"

"The system is designed so that when someone from another plane is transmitted to the main world, the mission system activates," the system explained. "This is to motivate the host and encourage system upgrades."

Su Zhan considered this, weighing the pros and cons. Although it was unexpected, he realized that having missions meant opportunities for rewards, and rewards meant energy. With enough energy, he could upgrade the system and unlock more features. As long as the tasks were not too unreasonable, he was confident he could handle them.

"Understood," he replied.

Turning to Claire, he spoke gently. "You have come to my world now. Before we leave this place, let me briefly explain how things work here."

For the next twenty minutes, Su Zhan patiently described the basics of the world she was about to enter. He explained the existence of superheroes, the importance of keeping her true origins a secret, and the need for caution. "Although anything can happen in this world, and even if you are from another universe, it is not considered a big deal, it is still better to keep a low profile," he advised.

He knew that if Claire revealed her identity, it would inevitably expose his own ability to travel between worlds. For now, he had no desire to let others know the full extent of his powers. The Marvel universe was filled with gods and cosmic beings, and the system was his trump card. It was best to keep it hidden.

Claire nodded, her face serious. "I understand. I will be careful."

"Good," Su Zhan said with a reassuring smile. "Let's go out."

With a thought, he exited the fighting field, bringing Claire with him.

As they emerged, Claire looked around the room with wide-eyed curiosity. Su Zhan had already told her that this was the ship of the Dark Elves, but for Claire, it was nothing short of an alien spaceship. Every detail fascinated her, from the strange architecture to the advanced technology humming quietly in the background.

Suddenly, the system's voice echoed in Su Zhan's mind. "A mission has been released!"

He could not help but laugh. "Already? That was fast," he muttered, surprised that the mission had triggered the moment they stepped out.

"Rescue mission: Successfully rescue Nick Fury from the Winter Soldier."

Su Zhan raised an eyebrow. "This is pretty timely. But isn't this a bit of a spoiler? The event hasn't even happened yet." He shook his head, amused. He already knew the story, so it hardly mattered.

Originally, he had not planned to get involved with Nick Fury's predicament. After all, he knew Fury would survive. But with the mission now active, he had no reason to ignore it.

"Are you ready?" he asked Claire.

She nodded seriously, her nerves evident but her resolve unwavering.

Together, they left the room and walked toward the main lobby. Natasha and Sam were already there, both dressed in their War League uniforms. When they saw Su Zhan approach with a young girl, their curiosity was obvious.

She looked so young—fifteen or sixteenn at most—and wore a cheerleading uniform that made her look like a typical high school student. Her beauty was striking, and while she was not yet fully developed, there was a freshness about her that was impossible to ignore.

"You didn't pick the wrong person, did you?" Natasha asked, her tone light but her eyes sharp.

Su Zhan shook his head. "No mistake. This is Claire. She is known as the Pulse and is now a member of the War League."

"Pulse? Is that name related to her ability?" Sam asked, intrigued.

Su Zhan smiled at Claire, who was visibly nervous. She opened her mouth as if to explain, but before she could say a word, she walked over to a nearby table, picked up a knife, and without hesitation, sliced her arm.

Su Zhan sighed. "This silly girl."

He understood immediately. Claire must have sensed their skepticism and wanted to prove herself. It was a bold move, but one that left everyone speechless for a moment.

Claire held out her arm, displaying the wound. Within seconds, the cut began to heal, the skin knitting together until there was no trace of injury.

Natasha watched in amazement. "Her healing is fast—it's almost like Wolverine's," she remarked, her voice tinged with awe.

"Does it hurt?" Su Zhan asked gently.

Claire shook her head. "No, not at all."

Natasha nodded, clearly impressed. "That's a powerful ability. Do you have any others, or is it just self-healing?"

Claire shook her head again.

Natasha smiled. "You still need to train. If you ever find yourself in trouble, you should be able to defend yourself. If you want, I can teach you some fighting skills."

Natasha's offer was sincere. Her combat expertise was legendary, and Su Zhan thought it would be perfect for Claire. He wondered, though, why Natasha was so eager to take Claire under her wing.

Pushing the thought aside, Su Zhan clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "The outside base is almost ready for use. We are about to make our official debut as the War League. Over the next few days, I hope everyone will adjust and prepare for our first mission."

The announcement was met with a mix of excitement, calm, and uncertainty. Some members were eager, others contemplative, and a few seemed unsure of what to expect.

"You'll stay here for now, Claire," Su Zhan said softly. "Natasha, please look after her."

Natasha nodded. "Of course."

"What about you?" Claire asked.

Su Zhan smiled. "I have a task to complete."

He focused, using his positioning ability to locate Nick Fury. Fury was in a parking lot, preparing to drive out. Su Zhan knew it would not be long before the attack began.

Nick Fury slid into the driver's seat, the city lights glinting off his eye patch. He closed the door with a practiced thud and started the engine, already running through a mental checklist of classified priorities. As he glanced in the rearview mirror, his brow furrowed. There, sitting like he owned the place, was a man Fury hadn't invited.

"Hey, mind giving me a ride?" Su Zhan said, flashing a laid-back grin.
