The transition from Jessica to Niki was so sudden that it left Su Zhan momentarily stunned. One moment, Jessica's fierce confidence filled the room; the next, Niki's gentler spirit emerged, her eyes softer, her movements more hesitant. It was the same body, but the difference in presence and emotion was unmistakable. Su Zhan found himself marveling at the experience. The contrast between the two was so distinct that he could only describe it in one word: wonderful.
The intimacy he shared with Niki was nothing like what he had experienced with Jessica. Niki's reactions were shyer and more vulnerable, and every touch seemed to carry a different weight. The same body, yet a completely different feeling—this was the mystery and beauty of the special twins. Su Zhan could not help but feel that this was a rare and precious experience, one that few could ever understand.
As they lay together, the system's prompt echoed in Su Zhan's mind: "Powerful woman: Jessica/Niki, friendship increased by twenty percent. Total friendship has reached one hundred percent." He smiled to himself, unsurprised that the bond had deepened again. This time, it was Niki's feelings that had grown, and he could sense the completeness of their connection.
"How was it? Are you satisfied with this experience?" Su Zhan asked, his tone playful as he looked into Niki's eyes.
"Not bad," came the reply, but the voice had shifted. Su Zhan recognized Jessica's tone immediately and laughed, delighted by the seamless transition between the two.
After getting dressed, Su Zhan realized that Jessica's clothes had been torn in the heat of the moment. He reached into his system space and pulled out a new dress, perfectly tailored to her figure. Jessica's eyes widened in surprise as he handed it to her, but she quickly accepted it. She was more astonished to discover that the dress was a famous brand, worth tens of thousands of dollars, than by the fact that Su Zhan could conjure it from thin air.
"I think I might actually like the idea of becoming your official secretary," Jessica said with a smile as she changed. Then, noticing the blush on the sheets, she sighed softly and grew more serious. "But it won't be easy. Linderman is powerful. If he's unhappy, he could make endless trouble for us."
Su Zhan shook his head, unconcerned. "You worry too much about Linderman. Right now, he still has value, so it's best to cooperate for the time being. Anyway, if he asks you to be with me, just tell him the truth. There's no need to hide anything."
Jessica studied him, a hint of skepticism in her eyes. "Would you really do that?"
Su Zhan grinned. "If I say I will, I will."
He glanced at the clock and stretched. "It's getting late. We should head back. I almost forgot—there's another secretary waiting for me. She's probably angry by now."
With that, Su Zhan picked Jessica up and, with a rush of energy, soared out the window and flew directly back to the hotel.
When they arrived, Su Zhan did not see Eden near the casino and guessed she must be in the room. Jessica smirked, giving him a sly look. "I won't get in your way with the other secretary. If you can handle it, maybe you'll satisfy her too."
Su Zhan laughed and gave Jessica a playful squeeze on the hip, making her gasp and glare at him before she walked away.
Standing outside the door, Su Zhan paused and used his super hearing to listen inside. He could hear the steady rhythm of Eden's heartbeat, and from its frequency, he could sense her mood. She was angry—or, more precisely, jealous. The realization made Su Zhan smile. It seemed Eden was not as indifferent as she pretended to be.
He pushed the door open and found Eden sitting calmly, her face expressionless. She looked as if nothing had happened, but her heartbeat betrayed her true feelings.
"Are you angry?" Su Zhan asked softly as he walked over.
"Angry? No, why would I be angry?" Eden replied casually, but her tone was a little too even.
Su Zhan smiled knowingly. "I know why you're upset. You know it too, so don't bother denying it. You know I have plenty of ways to find out. Honestly, I didn't expect Linderman to act so quickly, and I certainly didn't expect to be interested in Jessica. But in the end, things worked out well for me. Linderman tried to use her to get to me, but he ended up with nothing."
Eden's irritation faded as she listened, though she tried to hold onto her anger. "Did you hypnotize me?" she asked, her voice suddenly sharp.
Su Zhan shook his head. "Why would I need to hypnotize you? If you really weren't angry, I could easily find out without using that ability."
Eden frowned, trying to piece together her emotions. "You… you just hypnotized me, and it felt like you used my own ability. Did you swallow my power? No, I can still feel it."
Su Zhan laughed. "I think I know what happened. I absorbed a copying ability before, one that lets me quietly duplicate other people's powers. Because my body was still recovering, the copied abilities hadn't returned until now. It seems that ability has finally come back, and I copied yours without realizing it."
To demonstrate, Su Zhan walked over to the coffee table and pressed down lightly. The thick, sturdy table lifted easily in his hand—far more easily than before. "This is Jessica's strength. It must have been copied when I was with her."
He paused, then asked the system, "Does the copying ability come with energy?"
The system replied, "Yes, but only a small amount. Also, your copying ability is not permanent. It conflicts somewhat with your devouring ability. While you can keep copied abilities after your body has adjusted, they are only temporary and will soon fade."
Su Zhan nodded in understanding, not too disappointed. "That's fine. It's still useful."
He turned back to Eden, who was watching him with a mixture of frustration and reluctant amusement. "You see? No tricks, just a little unexpected side effect. Now, are you still angry?"
Eden rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. "Maybe a little. But I suppose I can forgive you—this time."
Su Zhan laughed, feeling the tension in the room dissolve. "That's all I can ask for."
The night settled around them, full of new possibilities and the promise of more wonderful experiences to come.
