Chapter 10 - Good bye

She walked…

farther than she ever had.

To a cliff carved out by time and ice—

the kind of place where even echoes forget how to return.

No cabins.

No roads.

No voices.

Just snow, sky, and silence.

Just like her life.

She stood there—

facing the endless white that stretched beyond the edge.

The wind whispered like an old friend,

cold but familiar.

The snowflakes kissed her skin

like tiny goodbyes from a world that never really held her close.

She looked down.

Then looked up.

Then closed her eyes.

And smiled.

A soft, broken smile—

the kind people wear when they've run out of strength but still want to look brave.

A single tear traced her cheek.

Not out of fear.

But finality.

And she whispered to the wind,

"Goodbye."

Not to the world.

Not to her family.

Not to the people who had forgotten she existed.

But to herself.

To the girl she used to be.

The one who laughed. Who dreamed.

Who once thought the world was soft and full of love.

She stepped forward—

ready to walk into the stillness,

into the nothing,

into the only place left where the pain might finally stop.

And just as she lifted her foot—

the world paused.
