Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The Real Reason

Hearing this, Zeyan smiled apologetically. "I was drowsy when I was sleeping, so I made a wrong judgment. Please don't mind, Miss Yoimiya. I naturally know now that you didn't take off my clothes. Um, but Miss Yoimiya, it's still better if you don't barge in next time."

Yoimiya, who had already regained her usual expression, glared at Zeyan upon hearing this. "Who would have known that you don't wear any clothes when you sleep? It made me see something I shouldn't have seen. Do you know how uncomfortable my eyes are?"

Zeyan immediately became unhappy as well. "Look how wronged you are. I'm the one who was seen, not you. I haven't even said I feel wronged."

Yoimiya huffed. "The person who sees such things is the one who suffers a loss."

Zeyan raised his eyebrows. "Is that so? Then, Miss Yoimiya, why don't you let me take a look too, so I can suffer a loss?"

Hearing this, Yoimiya's face instantly turned red. She turned around and went back into the cabin, looking for something. "Where's my bow?"

Zeyan didn't actually intend to act like a rogue. He just hadn't thought much and blurted out the words. As soon as the words were out, he knew they weren't appropriate.

However, seeing Yoimiya directly return to the cabin to find a weapon, Zeyan said helplessly, "Alright, alright, Miss Yoimiya, let's just drop this issue and talk about other things."

Yoimiya ultimately didn't come out with her bow.

She walked out of the cabin and looked at Zeyan. "Zeyan, I'm asking you, why hasn't the time loop stopped? Was your so-called regret yesterday a lie?"

Zeyan shook his head. "I didn't lie to you. The time loop is still continuing, which means the problem isn't with me, but with you. Think again about what regrets you have."

Yoimiya put her hands on her hips. "Zeyan, the fact that you can retain your memories is the biggest problem. You can't possibly be an irrelevant person."

Zeyan replied, "According to that logic, you who can also retain your memories can't possibly be an irrelevant person either, can you?"

Yoimiya said helplessly, "What you said isn't wrong, but I clearly resolved my inner regrets, and even in the last loop, my regrets and yours were resolved together on the same day... Do you think the condition for entering the next day is really resolving one's own regrets? Could it be other factors? Think about it carefully, otherwise being trapped in the same day forever isn't a good thing."

Zeyan nodded. "What you said makes sense. This issue does need to be reconsidered. Hmm, Ayaka's dad's place is ahead. Let's educate him first... Sigh, even though we don't know if we can enter the next day tomorrow, we still have to educate him."

Yoimiya walked forward and said, "This is something you have to do every loop. Don't even think about shirking it."

...

Two hours later, after finishing educating Ayaka's dad, Zeyan and Yoimiya walked on the deck.

The sunlight fell down like scattered gold, and the magnificent sea rose and fell, causing the passenger ship to rise and fall with it. The salty sea breeze, carrying a warm feeling, blew over them.

Leaning against the railing, Zeyan kept thinking. He felt that entering the next day required resolving certain regrets, but that was just his own guess. It might not be true. But what else could it be?

He glanced at Yoimiya beside him. The girl stood by the railing, letting the sea breeze blow over her. Her neatly tied long hair kept swaying in the wind, as if it would be scattered at any moment.

The girl in the wind had a bright smile on her face. Standing there, no matter how you looked at her, she seemed full of energy. Did such a girl look like she had regrets?

But the problem couldn't be with him either, could it?

Yoimiya glanced at Zeyan and said, "Are you thinking about something? But while you're thinking, why do you keep secretly looking at me? Don't think I haven't noticed your gaze."

Zeyan retracted his gaze and smiled. "Miss Yoimiya, you're quite perceptive, aren't you? But don't overthink it. I was indeed just thinking, but I haven't figured out what's going on yet."

Yoimiya sighed and said, "Ah, I really don't know what's going on. We could have returned to Ritou by tomorrow evening, but we're stuck here because of this."

Zeyan was stunned upon hearing this. "We can only return to Ritou by tomorrow evening?"

Yoimiya nodded. "Yes, tomorrow evening."

Zeyan frowned. "That's not right, is it?"

Yoimiya looked at Zeyan strangely. "What's not right?"

Zeyan recalled. He recalled seeing a shadow in the darkness in the distance on the deck last night, close to midnight.

He had thought it was Ritou, which wasn't far away. But according to Yoimiya, they could only reach Ritou by tomorrow evening, which meant the distance wasn't short. He shouldn't have been able to see the outline of Ritou on the deck late at night.

If that was the case, what was that shadow?

Zeyan inexplicably felt that the answer seemed to be appearing before his eyes, and his own eyes couldn't help but light up.

"Zeyan, Zeyan, what's wrong with you? What are you thinking about?" Yoimiya waved her small hand in front of Zeyan, looking somewhat puzzled.

Zeyan took a deep breath and said, "Miss Yoimiya, I might have discovered something."

Yoimiya's eyes immediately lit up. "You've discovered something? What is it? Tell me quickly! Do you know how to get rid of the time loop?"

Zeyan smiled and said, "Whether we can get rid of the time loop is actually hard to say, but I've made a somewhat unusual discovery. Um, Miss Yoimiya, I need your help with this. Can you prepare a boat for me?"

Prepare a boat.

Yoimiya was a bit puzzled, but she still nodded. "Preparing a small boat isn't a problem. This passenger ship is very large, and it's normal for it to carry some small lifeboats. With my reputation, borrowing one shouldn't be a problem. What do you plan to do with this small boat?"

Zeyan smiled mysteriously. "You'll know tonight."

Seeing Zeyan acting mysterious, Yoimiya curled her lip, feeling rather bored.

Regardless, Yoimiya first went to discuss borrowing a small boat with the person in charge of the passenger ship. Next was just waiting.

Time continued to pass, and night began to fall. The passenger ship finally stopped.

Even though the route the passenger ship was traveling was familiar, it wouldn't continue sailing at night. If the direction deviated even slightly, it could cause big problems, so it would anchor for the night.

It was at this time that a small boat was lowered on one side of the passenger ship.

Zeyan came to the small boat, looked back at the girl who had followed him, and said helplessly, "Miss Yoimiya, what are you doing following me?"
