She leaves the Citadel, wings clipped. Malzaphor is ordered to retrieve or erase her.

Behind him stands his TRUE BODY, now unsealed—a 10-foot-tall entity of black bark, glowing crimson runes, and seven spines forming a crown.
Malzaphor (whispering):
> "Next dawn… I return. And this time, I harvest."

Azryael and Chelestar kneel with Nel in a secret circle under the moon, forming a three-way pact of energy.
