Snapping out of my daze, I found myself staring at Irish's beautiful face. Her comforting expression brought a strange warmth to my chest, and before I realized it, my hand reached out to pat her head gently.
She pouted adorably and tried to push my hand away, but her efforts were weak, more playful than serious.
I chuckled and pulled my hand back. "Really, what's up with you today?"
She gave a small yawn, and I smiled, my voice carrying a trace of sincerity as I added, "Thanks… really." It felt like I was slowly regaining my sanity.
Irish blinked, confused by my sudden change in demeanor. Then her eyes widened slightly as she noticed something above my head—my aura. The golden hue that had faded earlier was now flaring back to life. Her lips curved into a satisfied smile. Without saying a word, she turned and walked outside, probably heading out to buy food.
Now left alone, I sat still, processing everything. Regaining my composure felt like waking from a nightmare. The pain earlier was unbearable. I'd barely experienced true agony before, but being reincarnated as a servant in this world? I knew I'd have to get used to it—this life wouldn't be kind.
A yawn escaped me, and in the blink of an eye, a week had passed. I used every spare moment to prepare. At random hours of the day, I would run drills, checking and refining every technique I had learned. I made sure I had at least ten torches stocked in my storage bag. I didn't know exactly when the outbreak would happen, but I was sure it would be soon.
Then, during an ordinary class, everything changed.
Darkness.
It descended suddenly, like a curtain pulled over reality. Gasps filled the room. Everyone was shocked. Panic rose like a tide. The teacher hadn't even arrived yet—we were supposed to have a lesson starting in a few minutes, but now…
A loud, echoing chime rang through the academy.
Dungeon outbreak.
The words struck everyone like a hammer. Every teacher, even the principal, rushed toward Class A. Most of them were at least 6-Star rank knights or mages, and yet their expressions were grim.
This wasn't an ordinary outbreak.
They couldn't even reach us.
A barrier had formed. We'd disappeared—teleported into another dimension, or perhaps some distant realm. No one could locate us. Not even the principal. Their faces twisted with anxiety. Eden Academy was one of the most prestigious academies in the continent. If even a few of the promising students in Class A failed to return, its reputation would suffer a catastrophic blow.
And a lot of student in class A have great reputation there father was mostly Duke which regarded high in the society
Within the sealed classroom, I sat quietly, though I couldn't see much. I could feel the tension. Fiona and Gab were holding hands tightly. I twitched in annoyance.
Irish, Fiona, Gab, and a few side characters managed to stay calm, but the majority of the class was in full-blown panic. Their minds were in chaos. The room itself began to tremble as though an earthquake was striking—then everything stopped.
Darkness.
Complete and utter darkness.
We looked up, hoping for a glimpse of light, but all we saw was a void.
Then… a ball of light appeared. A single glowing orb floating above Gab. It moved with him, illuminating a ten-meter radius. Wherever he went, it followed like a guardian spirit.
I nodded in satisfaction. Just like the novels.
Silently, I reached into my storage bag and pulled out a crude map I had drawn week ago. Then, without drawing attention, I took out a torch. No magical activation here—I lit it the old-fashioned way, and it took longer than I wanted. But eventually, I coaxed a small flame to life.
Gab, to his credit, understood the situation quickly. The ball of light above him wasn't just for show—it was a protective shield. Anyone outside its radius was vulnerable.
The walls surrounding us were impossibly tall, dwarfing us like ants. A blood-red moon hung in the sky, casting an ominous glow. Without our torches or Gab's light, we wouldn't have been able to see anything.
One overconfident student stepped outside the circle, a smirk on his face. He hadn't taken the warnings seriously.
A massive, shadowy hand reached out from the darkness and snatched him away. His scream tore through the silence—a cry of pure horror and helplessness.
That was enough. The students pressed closer to Gab, crowding around him. The message was clear—step into the darkness, and you die.
Then, as we prepared to move forward, it appeared.
A creature.
A towering monstrosity, easily as tall as the surrounding walls. Its red eyes glowed like burning embers, fixed on us with murderous intent. We were bugs in its presence, waiting to be crushed.
One girl's legs gave out beneath her. She collapsed, trembling, and before anyone could react, she vanished—just… gone.
Everyone froze, more terrified than ever. A 7-Star monster. That was what we were facing. And we were just students.
But while they panicked, I remained calm. I stood in the farthest corner, like a shadow, unfazed.
Eventually, the creature vanished.
I took that as my chance.
The presence of grass growing along the walls suggested we were at the far corner of the maze. That meant, based on my map, we needed to head right. Just as if guided by fate, Gab chose that direction.
Not wasting a second, I activated my concealment technique. The light of my torch vanished. My body melted into the shadows, undetectable but still i still have lights within me they couldn't just see it just the monsters
With careful movements, I slipped through the crowd like water, avoiding detection. My torch was still in hand—without it, I'd be dead meat.
I could feel the hot breath of monsters lurking nearby. If my light failed for even a second, I'd be their next meal.
Thirty minutes passed. I was far ahead of the rest of the class. Thanks to my map, I knew the route. I estimated another two hours to reach the treasure.
Risky? Yes.
But the reward was worth it.
I still had eight torches left.
And i should be atleast guaranteed to survive until i reached the treasury
[For every 2 powerstone i would publish extra chapter TwT]
