Chapter 27 - INTERLUDE-2

The Secret: Hinted

Raj hovered in the crimson haze of the Bleed, that membrane between realities pulsing like the heartbeat of creation itself. Before him sat Death of the Endless, pale and elegant upon her throne of living ebony, ankh gleaming at her throat.

He forced a wry grin and spoke in a self-assuring way. "Well, at least it's you I'm dealing with—not that skull-faced cosmic flirt from next-door. Heard she's got a thing for purple robes and collecting champions."

Death's eyes sparkled with ancient knowing. "You speak of my counterpart?" A smile played at the corner of her mouth. "We are... acquainted."

Raj's bravado faltered. "You are?"

"Across the Omniverse, embodiments of Death recognize one another." Her voice carried the weight of eternity yet remained light as a whisper. "Different faces of the same concept—each aware of the others, like fingers on the same hand."

A silence fell. Raj's confidence evaporated like morning dew.

Death traced a pale finger along invisible threads that suddenly materialized between them, glowing copper, then violet, before fading to starlight. "There was a time when this Multiverse and their so called 'Marvel' Multiverse collided—birthing the Amalgam Universe. A nexus point where our domains briefly became one."

The void throbbed around them, a cosmic reminder of forces beyond comprehension.

"In that convergence," she continued, "Axel Asher became Access—a transmigrator chosen by the ROB, as you call them, to wander both realities. His presence too long in either cosmos caused fragments to fuse, manifesting beings like Dark Claw and Super-Soldier." Her eyes met his. "Until he restored the separation."

"He was also ROB 'ed?" Raj breathed.

"Many before you have traveled these roads, across many multiverses." Death nodded. "Power-drunk wanderers chasing godhood. Axel wasn't prepared for what he learned beyond the veil."

Raj's mind reeled. So he wasn't the first soul the ROB had plucked from obscurity—nor the first they'd nearly lost to cosmic temptation.

"Then why choose any of us?" he asked. "Why permit travelers between Multiverses at all?"

Death raised a slender hand, stopping him. "Some truths," she said with gentle finality, "are locked away until the soul is ready to receive them. Master what you already know—prove you can wield this knowledge rather than be consumed by it—and we'll speak of the ROB's grand design and why they summon wanderers to cross their bridges."

She settled back, the conversation clearly finished. The tapestry of universes resumed its silent dance around them.

Raj bowed his head, questions burning unsatisfied—yet tempered by the promise that the deepest cosmic secrets awaited him, if only he could prove worthy of them.

[A/N: So, here it is the most asked question that comes to mind while reading Fanfics; why the MC and are they alone to be ROB 'ed; why would The Presence or OAA allow them to be transmigrated/Reincarnated. The answer we'll see I guess!]
