Julian held her hands as they walked out of the old spaceship.
"You sure this will work?"
"Of course," Julian said. "I mean, that is if you agree to follow me on my mission, as you'll really be helpful."
Rehul nodded in affirmative.
"Please, I don't want the empress to kill me. I know I did a lot of damage to her kingdom, and if she sees me, I'm surely dying."
"She surely will see you," Julian said bluntly. "I'm still finalizing my plan though."
Julian was now in the galactic knight armor, and Rehul was now in her own clothing, the warrior-looking sexy thing she was dressed up as earlier.
After the ride back in the broken spaceship, Julian had suggested they go back to the empress.
Rehul had objected at first, saying that she would get killed.
But well, when she considered the other option she had, which was going back to the imperium to get beheaded, she had to consider what Julian was saying.
And for Julian, he was exhausted to fuck anybody.
After what he had with Rehul, he decided that it was enough for today. But the empress must be waiting for him to come smash her ass.
And so Julian decided he might not want to fuck her anymore. At least his reason for coming to Seisymy was to get help with gadgets and spaceships and seek information.
But from what the empress had shown, she had the equipment alright and the spaceships and also the gadgets.
But the one thing she didn't have was information. So that was where Rehul would come in. She had information, valuable ones. Ones that would help him in his mission.
And so Julian's overall resolve?
It was escaping Seisymy with Rehul. He would use her as a sort of sidekick, as she was very good in combat.
And now, he ought to be gliding the bassinet with her to the empress, but he decided they walk, as he wanted one last information from her.
That information would be the thin thread of his resolve; if it doesn't seem to work out or go as he planned, he would have to scrap it.
"What do you mean by finalizing?" Rehul asked.
"I still have a question to ask," he said.
Rehul made a face (a mixture of being intrigued and wanting to laugh).
"What?" she asked, a bit curious.
Julian began:
"The rivals of the Imperium of Archos," he asked. "Who are they?"
Rehul inhaled and exhaled before saying:
"They're almost on the same level with the Imperium of Archos, only that they are more, if you look at it in a normal view. They are more stronger in terms of physical power than the Imperium."
Julian squinted his eyes, trying to understand.
"Then why is the Imperium above them?"
"They are little in number compared to Archos Imperium."
He furrowed an eyebrow. "Little?"
Rehul nodded in the affirmative.
"Yes. They are just over two thousand in number, while the Archos Imperium is over a million."
Julian stroked the helmet he was wearing to cover his face by the chin.
"Interesting."
Rehul went on.
"They ought to have been defeated by the Archos Imperium long ago, but the thing is, they wield some strange power."
"Magic?" Julian asked.
"Not completely, but yes, magic I guess."
"Hmmm," Julian said, reducing his walking speed to be more slow so as to hear more.
"Here's what makes them very hard to defeat for the Imperium."
Julian immediately looked at her face after that word. She was still beautiful as ever.
"A large supposed meteorite crashed into their planet. They live in a very large planet, by the way."
Julian nodded, listening.
"When they walked to check out what it was, they saw that it was a meteorite. Of course, they knew about meteorites. But then, this wasn't a normal meteorite, it was something strange, something seemingly powerful."
She paused and caught her breath.
"What made it really strange was that it glowed red, vibrant red, by the way. The smart of them said it possessed unique powers and would help them against enemies. They decided to touch it, all of them. Some were afraid, others were brave. In the end, the brave ones touched it and were blessed with unique powers. Some could fly, others could run fast. And the most deadly part—some could teleport."
Julian smiled.
"Hell! They must be overpowered!"
Rehul laughed:
"Haha! If they were like that, why couldn't they take on the Imperium and dismantle it to pieces?"
Julian paused and now turned completely to face her.
"What happened?"
"They had a weakness."
"A weakness!"
Rehul almost laughed. Julian was acting almost like a maniac now, and she found it funny.
"The meteorite was their weakness."
"The one that gave them their powers?"
"Yes," Rehul said. "They hid it very deep in their planet, and when the Imperium found it, they blew it to pieces."
Julian could already guess what would have happened.
"They lost their powers?"
Rehul nodded in the affirmative.
"Yes, they did," she said. "But not all though. About five of them still have theirs. And they also found a portal to a dilapidated planet, which they currently reside."
Julian couldn't hide his surprise.
"This sounds like some sort of made-up story."
He had continued walking now, and so did she.
"It's true though," Rehul said.
"Then why are they considered a rival?" Julian asked. "They seem to be like everyone else."
Rehul smiled.
"Not exactly. In the planet, they found a way to use their powers."
"How?"
"With the meteorite destroyed, they are able to use their powers if only they find tiny pieces of a special meteorite, which are very rare. With one of those, they will be able to use their powers for just a limited time. I think half a day for each of the meteorite activated."
"Still a rival in what way?"
"The Imperium doesn't actually know where they are, the galaxy they are, rather."
Galaxy?
Well, wasn't he a Galactic Knight?
"They are a rival because there's a belief that one day they'll find a complete special meteorite, which will fully activate their powers and make them strong enough to face the Imperium—not necessarily to win, but as a threat. That's why the Imperium wants to conquer this galaxy quickly and then move to others, which will make them unstoppable."
Julian, without her even knowing, swooped Rehul off her feet.
"Nice info, but now I have to speed you to the empress."
Rehul smiled and looked at him intently, sexily also.
"But who told you all this?" he asked.
Rehul smiled.
"As a commander, I ought to know. All of the Imperium's commanders know."
Julian smiled.
"Thanks for the info."
He had a plan, a really good one if he would be able to execute it. He wouldn't tell Rehul just yet; he still wanted to be sure she could be trusted.
Carrying her, he zoomed towards the heart of the planet…
