On the night of the twentieth of the lunar month, Dr. Tao Taqing from Donghua Hospital came to the Xikelai Restaurant near the hospital and pushed open the door of a private room. Inside the grand, opulently decorated room, only two people were seated.
One was a round-faced man with a commanding belly, resembling a miniature Maitreya Buddha. The other was an elderly man with a head full of silver hair and a clear, refined face, sitting serenely, exuding a scholarly elegance.
Tao Taqing respectfully said to the silver-haired elder, "Mr. Zhou, greetings!"
The silver-haired elder was the current patriarch of the Zhou Family in Binhai, Zhou Yisan, Li Ting's grandfather. He nodded lightly and smiled, "Hello, young Tao! I invited you out this time to introduce you to someone!"
Tao Taqing showed a slight wry smile and said, "Mr. Zhou, there's no need for introductions. This is Mr. Ye Hongqing, whom I've met before. We're acquainted."
