The dim yellow lights cast a glow on the walls, where many patches of white have fallen off, revealing the cement. Mice squeaked, their sounds mingling with cockroaches, and both ran shamelessly across the blood-stained floor.
In the center of the basement stood a two-meter-high wooden post.
