When shinya had woken up he realized he was in a hospital room. He looked up around him his eyes adjusted to the light fully. There was nobody around and he saw it outside the window. He saw the sun the actual sun for what felt like the first time in forever. He was overstruck but more then anything else he was overwhelmed with relief strong relief extreme relief. Feeling like this feeling may last forever as he watched birds land on his open hospital window seeing trees outside the window and clouds in the sky. Seeing I'vs hooked up to him he didn't even realize but he must've lost 20 pounds plus from being unconscious. His body wasn't big anymore but it wasn't skinny just average built now.
It was only when he was observing his body when a nurse came rushing in."aaah!" Screamed the nurse and she bolted back out the room before shinya could even get up or do anything. He also realized just how white the room was and how he liked this feeling this peace. Though it wouldn't last long as just minutes later. His mother and sister arrived."shinya you don't understand how much we've missed you" said his mom before rushing over and hugging him as tears came down her face. Shinya couldn't hold it anymore either tears began to stream down his face as well. This feeling of family this feeling of love from his family. He missed it so much he would die for it he felt like.
He had already been on deaths door already so how would this be any different. Even Ilya his little sister was crying hugging him too. For what felt like a solid ten minutes they all were around eachother just crying and hugging eachother eventually shinyas mom was the one to stop and pull herself together." Well shinya it seems that you won the preliminaries you have to keep going I'm sorry son I'm so sorry. Said his mother as she put her hand on her son's cheek. Though before anybody could say anything else at all a man walked in.
It was the mayor the fucking mayor of the city. With a straight up evil grin on his face that looked like he had the most nefarious scheme on his mind." Well good job!!! You're the winner of the preliminaries Sonny!!" It seems you have a lot of questions and I will awnser them as soon as you are fit to be discharged come find me in my office." Said the mayor as he then clapped his hands and walked away. Was it him? Was he the one responsible for what he had to go through shinya honestly couldn't believe it." We saw everything on the tvs brother it was shown all over the continent what went down we don't know why though we don't know what's going on there's been a bunch of backlash from social media and the news in general, though it didn't stop it from continuing until you were the only one." Said Ilya
"Also there's one thing we should mention though bro it's been six months you've been asleep. Doctors said your brain just shut down on itself trying to protect itself" said Ilya with his mother just standing there trying to comfort him. It was at that point shinya made up his mind he needed to get out of this place. He needed to see what this tournament really was what it means. He tried to stand up before his body gave out. The doctors came in quickly and told him he could be discharged in a week as long as everything was well with his body.
