Hailou Stone handcuffs had no effect on Old Man Zefa or those who had never eaten a Devil Fruit in Dasqi—they were just ordinary heavy cuffs for them. But for Devil Fruit users, they were deadly. Once worn, the cuffs nullified their powers completely, leaving them weak and vulnerable. However...

Weiwei looked around. Even after Ace's bombardment, the marks left by the collision of "Mighty Kingdom" and "Bahai" were still visible on the ground. Was this a sign of weakness?

Yamato didn't bother pretending and answered frankly, "Kaido put these cuffs on me when I was only eight. After all these years, I'm used to them. The Hailou Stone in my cuffs isn't pure or high-grade, so they don't render me completely powerless."

Weiwei thought for a moment and asked, "Can I touch them?"

Yamato stretched out her right hand. Weiwei barely touched the cuff, and within five seconds, half her body suddenly went soft...

Fortunately, she was mentally prepared—otherwise, she definitely would have collapsed on the spot.

Weiwei glanced at Ace, silently asking if he wanted to try. Ace shook his head sharply, signaling to stop teasing. He was a man—if he could endure it, fine; if not, it'd be a loss of face!

Yamato said matter-of-factly, "I never really fought while wearing them. I'm just used to it."

Weiwei found it hard to imagine someone fighting under such a handicap. She lacked confidence in her opponent's strength, but she couldn't deny Yamato's incredible toughness—this was not physical strength, but an ironclad spirit.

If it were her, living every day so powerless, she wouldn't even want to move, let alone fight. Yet Yamato managed to train and improve herself despite the cuffs. That perseverance was truly admirable.

She asked a naĂŻve question: "Can't the handcuffs be removed?"

A trace of sadness crossed Yamato's face. "My father Kaido said there are bombs in the cuffs. If I ever leave Ghost Island, they'll explode."

Ace was furious. "Your father's really something else—treating his own daughter like that."

Yamato emphasized, "Son! Whether or not it's Kozuki Oden's blood, I'm still Kaido's son."

Ace looked at Weiwei oddly, as if to ask: Is this girl normal or not? You're a doctor—can you cure this condition?

Weiwei didn't care about titles or family. "Son or daughter, it's just a label."

Yamato considered herself a man, so treated as a "pure man."

She asked the crucial question: "Can the handcuffs be unlocked? Where's the key?"

Yamato's answer made Weiwei cringe: "The key is with my father. I don't know where—maybe not even on Ghost Island. Maybe only he knows."

Weiwei nodded and instantly considered hypnotizing Kaido into handing over the key—or beating him to force out its location. Both options flashed quickly in her mind, but neither seemed reliable...

She wanted to take Yamato with her. This woman's combat power rivaled that of an Emperor's deputy. If she brought Yamato to fight Sand Crocodile, the battlefield would be spectacular! She could even help fight the World Government and Im in the future. But the explosive handcuffs stopped her plans dead.

"Wait! I have an idea!" she suddenly exclaimed, slapping her left palm with her right fist.

She didn't understand Wano's complicated politics but was clear about past events and many characters' abilities.

"Actually, there's no need to fuss over the key. Devil Fruit users have countless abilities. We can make a new key. I know a guy—the Candle Man. He can shape liquid wax into forms as hard as steel. That guy can use his power to craft a new key for you."

"Oh? That's great!" Ace sympathized with Yamato as the son of Gol D. Roger, sharing the pain of having an unreliable father.

"Where is this Candle Man?"

"In the first half of the Grand Line, my hometown Alabasta. He joined a bounty hunter's workshop—codenamed Mr. 3."

Weiwei declared boldly, "I'll find him. Once I do, I'll bring him to Ghost Island to help free you."

"Little Bat, thank you." Yamato didn't know Weiwei's real name, so she used a code name, but her gratitude was genuine.

Weiwei responded cheerfully, "You're welcome, Big Wolfdog."

Ace: "..."

For a moment, he felt a bit redundant here.

Weiwei looked seriously at Yamato: "Once your handcuffs are off, fight me again."

Facing Dusky, Ain, Binz, and even Ace, Weiwei always felt among her peers she was one of the strongest.

Yamato was the only one who made her feel weaker—much stronger.

Whether because of Devil Fruit rivalry or the overlord's spirit that sustained her, Weiwei needed to fight Yamato again!

Yamato nodded with fighting spirit: "Okay, I promise. As long as I don't die, we'll fight again."

Meanwhile, the murderous bounty hunter Mr. 3 had no idea he'd become a kidnapping target. Capturing a person and transporting them to the New World was not hard; the challenge was sneaking back onto the island unnoticed.

This time, Kaido and his crew were led away by the Golden Lion. But next time? Weiwei had no plan yet and would have to adapt as she went.

She had to wait until Kaido was away before she could make a rescue.

"Don't overthink! When the time comes, UU Reading (www.uukanshu.com) will have the solution! Hey, wanna get on my ship? I'll be a man among the Four Emperors!" Ace tried to recruit Weiwei.

"Don't be ridiculous! How could I become a pirate? Ba Yuzen is just my alias in Wano. My real name is Neferutari Vivi…"

Weiwei was keen on recruiting Yamato, the Emperor's deputy in combat power. She revealed her true identity again.

"Oh... a princess of a great country? Future queen? No wonder! I knew you weren't ordinary—you fooled me with that doctor's identity. You can't be a doctor!"

Ace suddenly understood. Yamato was Kaido's "son," and he was the son of One Piece's Gol D. Roger. Having a domineering presence was natural. But claiming any passerby girl had such a look? That was strange. Vivi's princess status made her commanding presence reasonable.

Vivi spoke about the civil war in Alabasta and the World Government's hostility toward her kingdom.

However, she didn't mention Sand Crocodile's conspiracy. To her, Sand Crocodile was still a hero who fought pirates—a statement that drew a burst of ridicule from Ace.
