Kai felt terrific! She could sense every cell in her body. A surge of power coursed through her. Her body cheered as if it missed the power, reuniting with something long lost. "Am I causing all this rain?" she asked, turning to Torin. She described to him how her body suddenly felt energized and powerful. Kai compared it to the sensation of drinking a glass of ice-cold water and feeling it flowing through your body. "Now imagine that, but much faster, wilder, and constant."
Torin was happy for her but highly concerned at the same time. Things just took a turn, and he didn't exactly know what he was dealing with; at first, he thought she just had the power to heal with body fluids, but this was past a heavy rain. It was something else. There was too much water, even to call it a downpour, and the street was flooding by the second.
"That's good. I'm happy for you, but I didn't know you had more power elsewhere. Who returned that power? You don't think it's strange that it suddenly appeared years later at a store? " Torin asked, showing his concern.
"I don't know. Should I thank whoever it was, or should I be worried because this power-up might attract Ra?"
Torin continued looking around, completely astounded by the torrential rain, when a strange thing caught his eye. Everyone outside was running to get out of the rain except one person. With their face covered by their hood, the person stood there mysteriously, like the rain didn't bother them one bit. "Yeah, I don't think they're as friendly as you. As bad as it sounds, this might be the part we find out. Look," he said, pointing across the street. "A hooded person is standing across the street dressed in a green cloak and holding a bow and arrow set. I can tell you now, that is one hundred percent not normal," Torin remarked, his gaze fixed on an unusual figure. Kai followed his stare, her eyes landing on Artemis, entirely covered by her one-of-a-kind emerald green cloak made entirely of leaves that change depending on the season.
Back with the General, military soldiers set his idea to catch Triton's attention into play. Without the exact location of the sirens and Triton, the General chose three locations and used three tactics.
In the first area, the General had two massive ships sail around, leaking oil into the ocean. Miles out in the North Pacific Ocean, covering a vast part, oil spread, and without anyone knowing a thing, the General set the sea ablaze. The smoke attracted every news media, but the General also had a plan for that. Boats with water pumps sprayed water to give the appearance of trying to put out the fires. The media couldn't see the ships mixing the water with heavy gasoline. Even so, the General had troops pretend to be coast guard and tell the press they had it under control. Saying that pirates sunk an oil ship trying to take it over, though there was no need to panic, for the criminals had been caught.
In the second area, a small part of the North Atlantic Ocean, the General strategically deployed objects that reflect light, creating a dazzling display underwater. This involved using mirrors, crystals, and other reflective surfaces to catch and amplify ambient light, as well as bioluminescent organisms that have been scientifically modified. He was lighting that part of the ocean up like a city. The downside was that the longer this continued, the more it began to melt the ice. Potentially reviving frozen organisms and diseases, but that was a gamble the General was willing to take.
The final area was the South Pacific Ocean. The General tried to make as much noise as possible. The General used specially designed underwater fireworks to create bursts of color and light beneath the surface. Scientists used technologically advanced tools combined with depth charges that produced a loud sound and huge splashes with a dazzling display of color as waves rocked the ocean like water in a tub. The depth charges also made underwater cliffs and rocks break apart, and, in addition, the General's twisted mind favored the part that each of these methods harmed thousands of sea life.
Back with Torin and Kai, who ran for their lives as they argued back and forth, "Who is that? Your powers return, and now a crazy psycho is jumping from building to building, launching arrows, followed by a mob of women dressed in camo!"
As they turned the corner and began running straight, Torin looked at Kai weirdly as she was extremely fast. He didn't doubt she was pacing herself to keep near him. If he weren't with her, she would be able to run much faster. Kai, running faster than she expected, stumbled but quickly recovered, her senses heightened by the adrenaline coursing through her veins; she felt that she, too, could leap from building to building.
One thing she couldn't ignore was the uniqueness of the arrows, each seeming to possess an otherworldly quality. As one flew past her and embedded itself in a nearby car door, Kai couldn't help but marvel at its design. Continuing to run, she responded to Torin with frustration and concern. "I don't know. I'm just as clueless as you," Kai said between breaths, her voice strained with urgency. "You're the one who said you were taking me to see someone. Are you sure that person isn't one of yours? If so, learn how to control your people!"
With an alleyway in sight, Torin makes a hard turn down the alley and snatches Kai by the arm, pulling her to his opposite side. "Hide here," he said, trying to catch his breath. "To answer your question, nobody I know can jump like that. But that is amazing, and I wish I could get a good look at the person." Torin said, slowly peaking around the corner, "I see his merry men, but I don't see Robin anymore.
A sudden whoosh cut through the air, and before Torin could comprehend what was happening, time seemed to slow for a heartbeat. One of Artemis' deadly arrows brushed against the edge of his neck as the projectile missed him, leaving a scratch. Staggering back, he felt a sudden chill down his spine.
"Never mind, I found her," Torin stated, his voice filled with horror, his shaking hand brushing against the scratch on his neck. Blood, drawn by the arrow's narrow miss. The sheer terror he felt made him realize the person wasn't just trying to kill him; they were toying with him. A predatory killer, a terrifying joke; Torin knew the precision of that arrow was meant to go through his Adam's apple. It dawned on him how out of reach sanity seemed for the mysterious archer.
As Torin was busy thanking his lucky stars for the arrow's narrow miss, Kai urgently patted him down for the keys. "Who cares?" she yelled, seeing the RV in sight, eager to get in and drive off without wasting any more time.
However, Torin, sensing the lethal sharpness of those arrows, strongly disagreed. In his opinion, there was no way they could escape unscathed. He was still tired, and the flooding area made it hard for him to run. Even if they managed to get inside the RV, he could vividly imagine the arrows tearing through the vehicle, shredding it piece by piece. Moreover, considering the archer's nimble movements, leaping effortlessly from building to building, he doubted they would make it very far, especially considering the traffic caused by the downpour. The imminent danger loomed over them, casting a shadow over his mind and shutting down the possibilities of any fleeting hopes of escape.
Though Kai's mind was functioning clearly, she could see the signs of Torin having a meltdown. "It doesn't matter! Stop talking; on the count of three, run to the RV and get it started. One," she stated, determination in her voice.
Torin panicked as the stealth force closed in, and Artemis's arrows began to appear as if they were bending around the corner. "It doesn't matter?! Are we not having the same traumatic experience?" Torin yelled.
"Two," Kai continued, her urgency escalating. Torin grabbed his head, speaking to himself, "Running from a psycho and running with a psycho. Is this the world I sought? This is too much."
"Three." Desperate for an alternative, Torin proposed, "How about you control your power? It's flooding. You created all this rain to do what?!" The chaos around them intensified, and time seemed to slip away with each passing moment.
"Shut up and run!" Kai shouted, bursting into a full sprint towards the RV, leaving Torin behind. Not wanting to be left alone, Torin repeatedly slammed his hand against the brick wall before running off.
Artemis spotted them running in the opening, a broad smile stretching across her face. Watching them flee for their lives like animals caused an excited thrill. Nothing was better in life than a good chase between hunter and prey. She immediately seized the opportunity to send as many arrows as she could. Risking the use of her powers, one arrow magically divided into five. Artemis relished in the thrill of watching everyone, even the innocent in the street, scatter, attempting to avoid the rain of arrows like ants after stepping on an ant hill.
With a twist of the key, the car sprang to life. The engine rumbled to a steady hum, a low vibrato that resonated through the vehicle. Torin started the RV and began driving off, but because of the commotion, there was traffic, and many people were trying to figure out what was happening. Artemis's broad smile turned sinister, cutting across her face; she descended from the concrete buildings like a twisted angel on a malevolent mission.
As Artemis plummeted, her form blurred, a silhouette blocking what little sun showed. Her cloak was a tempestuous swirl of greens against the darkened sky. The chaos of the city—the honking horns, the distant screams, and the hum of engines—all serene in the face of impending doom. Like an unwittingly parked car at the mercy of fate compared to her speed, the RV became Artemis's intended stage. The impact was a thunderous collision of metal as she now stood tall on top of the RV, surveying the daylight chaos she'd orchestrated. Her stealth team fell back; the situation was now way too noticeable for them to be around. Though they followed Artemis, Artemis followed Hera, who had told them it was supposed to be a quiet mission. However, Artemis had gotten wrapped in the feeling and had come too far. She unloaded a few arrows before stomping a hole in the roof and making her way inside.
Her voice, sweet and comforting, spoke words of death yet congratulations. "You two make for a good chase. You run like a scared little cat, but dodge like the most skilled warrior. I am impressed. Now, remove your gaze, boy," Artemis commended, removing her hood.
Able to witness Artemis's beauty, Torin was perplexed. "Wow, if I had known that's what you looked like, I would have surrendered at the clothing shop," Torin commented.
Artemis was angered and disappointed that Torin defiled her beauty with his eyes and didn't think twice before killing him. "I compliment you, and you turn round and shame yourself with weakness. Saying you would have surrendered? Also, no man shall look upon the Goddess Artemis!" She quickly pulls an arrow from her back waist and launches it from her bow.
"No!" Kai shouted with her arms held out defensively toward Torin. Determination built a strong emotion and desire to protect Torin. Besides her parents, who couldn't help her in this situation, Torin was all she had. Her eyes shone bright like a Supermoon, and her skin began to illuminate. In moments of heightened power, her hair changed. The beautiful strands of lavender and blue glowed with a bioluminescent brilliance. Before they knew anything, every drop of water around them rushed to Kai's command. A water shield stood between them and Artemis, stopping the arrow in the air.
"Oh, you saved my life. You saved my life!" Torin cheered in shock, touching his chest. "We're even now, Oh, we even. I knew you could do it. Yes, I believed in you this whole time."
Artemis switched her bow to the other hand and walked towards the wall of water to examine it. "Your power seems familiar yet so different. Different from Poseidon. Do these abilities come from another water deity? Who is your mother or Father? Triton? Nereus? Oceanus? Perhaps one of their wives slept with another? "she asked.
With no response from Kai, Artemis punched the shield with all her might, creating a shockwave that sent objects in the RV flying, but the punch itself only managed to put a small spider crack in the wall of water. The shield gathered water from all around and repaired itself quickly. Artemis stared into Kai's eyes, sensing a bit of Selene, Titan, and the Goddess of the moon. But the part that made Kai who she is went beyond just the fusion of both powers. Artemis knew for sure Hera would want it!
Kai's head began to pound, and her abilities flickered like a power outage before returning with renewed strength. With a distorted voice, Kai asked, "Those names sound familiar. Poseidon? I…I feel as if I know him!"
Knowing the shield would protect him, Torin revealed himself from behind Kai. He explained to Artemis how he thinks Kai may have lost her memories. If she felt familiar with the names Artemis spoke, then perhaps she knew them. Torin politely asked if Artemis knew anything about Kai and if she would kindly share the reason for the violence. It all made sense to Artemis; it explained why she didn't fight back or use her powers initially, even with such power. Torin observed as Artemis reached inside a white pouch made out of fur. He thought she might be considering helping or retrieving something useful, like a God-like item that restores memories. However, it was the complete opposite.
Artemis reached into her pouch, pulling out a taser, which caused Torin's eyes to grow large. Artemis pushes the button twice as two zaps sound off, with his hands pushed out. Torin climbs up on the seat to get out of the flooded part of the RV. Suddenly, the air became heavy and dry. Kai's shield went down, and everyone fell to their knees, collapsing on the ground. The presence of power was so great that it demanded respect. The sun grew enormous and hotter, clearing the sky and causing the flood from the downpour to slowly evaporate before everyone's eyes.
Artemis panicked, repeatedly slamming her fist against the floor. "Ra, I didn't notice him," Artemis stated, struggling to lift herself.
Torin had nowhere near the power of Artemis or Kai, and his body started to shrink like a grape left in the blazing heat. "Ra? I was right. The Egyptian gods aren't dead." He whispers, having no energy at all. The heat was so intense, centered on the two girls, that the water in the RV began to evaporate, and the metal around began to heat up.
Artemis replied to Torin, watching as he tried to drink the drying water, "Gods don't die, idiot. It's only a matter of time before they can be revived. Think of it as a penalty or time-out for dying. You must wait a few years or maybe decades before the energy is restored. So, the more you get killed, the longer you wait as the period doubles each time, till the point is so long it seems like death. Listen, boy, because you will die the next time we meet. Tell the girl she's strong, and I wish to know why. I will find out before she falls. Make sure she knows who I am, Artemis, the Goddess of Hunting, and the moon also grants me power." She expressed with her weak voice.
Artemis knew this could only be a warning from Ra; otherwise, they would have died. His power was great, for Ra wasn't even present, just making a statement to say they now had his attention, and if they didn't heed his warning, he would reduce them to nothing. Artemis explained that the only reason they were alive was because of Kai and the slight moisture they were able to store. In return, she told Torin she didn't know much but that Hera was out for Kai. "Help her," she said.
Kai had passed out from the pressure and the amount of energy used in deploying the shield for the first time. With all the power rushing to her body at once and without the knowledge to control such power, it took a considerable toll. As Artemis was able to make it to her feet, exhausted from fighting against the pressure of Ra's power and breathing heavily, Artemis revealed Kai's other bracelet. She showed this to Torin as it was their payment to her for letting them live. Besides, it would be foolish to go back empty-handed to Hera. Another thing she promised Torin was that she would find them again, but she expected them to be stronger. Even though she didn't accomplish what she came to do, they gave her a thrilling hunt, and the advice given, specifically to Torin, was to watch his surroundings at all times. She grants him a gift, being the only human male to lay eyes on her and keep his life.
Artemis and her stealth force retreated. Torin continued to be amazed as he watched Artemis leap from building to building. As she fled, still weakened, he watched as she collided with a few buildings, but it didn't faze her, and she continued.
Seconds after Artemis left, the sun returned to normal, and Torin's strength returned. He walked over to Kai, calling her name with an extended hand, "Here, let me help you up," he said, trying to help Kai to her feet. But she wasn't responding; her chest still rose and fell, which let him know she was still alive, perhaps just unconscious. So he tried his best to carry her on his back.
"Well, that was intense. I'll have my share of chases, but never by an actual God. I mean, did you see her, Goddess of hunting? She was doing exactly that just now, and if it weren't for your shield, I would say she was damn good at it. Without a doubt, I know my neck and above were almost gone at least twice, and that's enough," Torin rambled on. He knew Kai was out of consciousness, but he still talked as if she were listening.
He knew Kai would probably call him an idiot because she had just saved his life, and here he was, admiring the experience. This wasn't some thrill ride, and if it weren't for Ra, they probably would be dead. Torin wondered how long she would be in that state. He knew she used her powers on command this time, which was a lot. The way his mind processed it was similar to sprinting at full speed while wearing ill-fitting shoes; the pain and strain on your feet will wear you out faster than the actual run.
Torin stopped for a second to straighten Kai on his back. She was slipping, and he continued to talk and walk to an unknown destination. "Hey, it's okay; you used a lot of power; next time, let's take things slow. Maybe create a smaller shield and block the pending doom once, not an everlasting regenerative shield. At least we found out you're Greek. Maybe a Greek demigoddess or half-mermaid. Oh, maybe you're like Triton's daughter. I don't know if that would be cool, but the point is you're Greek; that's a huge leap. I say the day didn't go as badly as we thought. The cons: you have water powers that you can't control, Artemis is chasing you, and she works for Hera, the Queen of Olympus. Oh," His smile straightened out. "Saying it out loud, we dug a deeper hole than when we first started, and it's only been a day and a half."
After the chaos in the streets finally settled, Torin found a small hotel tucked off the main road, swarming with Police. Asking if anyone knew what was going on and searching for Artemis, her followers, and two victims, witnesses described Artemis was chasing. The hotel found wasn't ideal, but it was shelter—and right now, shelter was more than enough.
Kai remained unconscious due to the strain of unleashing her power. She hung heavy on Torin's back like sacks of wet sand. Her limbs were limp, her head lolled against his shoulder, and it made Torin self-conscious because how was she so big and heavy? Maybe he needed to start going to the gym. Even so, he still pushed on; her weight wasn't the hardest part—it was not knowing if she'd be okay. Carrying around a dead body could be so much worse.
Torin carefully sat Kai down around the corner before heading inside the office. A step of precaution that was rendered pointless because the front desk clerk barely looked up as Torin signed in. He asked for a room with two beds, not out of luxury, but because he felt Kai's future complaints taking up space in his head.
Once inside, Torin kicked the door shut with his feet and hurried over to dump Kai in the bed. Completely forgetting to pull the blanket back, he lay Kai down and gently removed her shoes and socks. Her face was pale, her breathing shallow but steady; rest was all Torin could offer, so that had to be enough for now. He sat at the edge of the second bed, elbows on his knees, head in his hands. His RV was wrecked, electronics fried, seats damaged, and every last paper turned to paste from the rain Kai had summoned. The thought of starting over twisted something sharp in his chest. There was no need to cry about it; there were things that needed to be done now: supplies, food, and maybe even a new ride.
Behind him, Kai let out a soft grunt as she tossed and turned. Torin's head swiveled, his heart lifting momentarily—was she waking up? No, her eyes remained shut. She twisted again, a pained furrow on her brow, then fell still. He watched for her chest to see the rise and fall, then exhaled. "Probably just a dream," he thought. Maybe this is why she doesn't want anyone to see her sleep.
Feeling Kai was safe for the time being, Torin rose to leave—and then he saw it. A single droplet of sweat lifted from the tip of his nose; it didn't fall but floated.
Torin blinked. His eyes crossed, watching another droplet drift upward from his skin, suspended in mid-air like being held on an invisible string. Then another. All around him, the humidity in the room began to gather; water droplets formed themselves from any dampness in the room. Tiny particles of moisture shimmered as they assembled just above Kai, coalescing into a small, plushy cloud.
Torin turned, fully facing it, frozen in place. The cloud was no bigger than a pillow, yet dense. It hovered directly above Kai, and then, without warning, it began to rain. The droplets initially fell singly in a gentle rhythm, dotting Kai's skin and clothes before falling to a drizzle. The water didn't splash or spread wildly—it was absorbed into her like the earth drinking in the first rain of spring. However, with Kai tossing and turning, some of the rain missed her now and then. Only then would it soak the bed.
Torin stepped closer, his hand slowly reaching out, palm upward. A few drops landed on his skin; it was cool, fresh, and strangely calming, but nothing more. He waited, expecting something to happen, a reason for a cloud to form out of nowhere inside a hotel. As the rain continued to fall, wetting his hand, he continued to wait for a spark of energy, a surge of strength, or something, but the water did nothing for him.
That's when it hit him. Whatever benefit it gave wasn't for him. Even unconscious, Kai's power moved with purpose as if it were alive. Torin stared, equal parts amazed and unnerved. He had heard she could heal, saw her change the weather, and witnessed her manipulate water into a tough shield —but this? Unaware, unconsciously creating a rain cloud from moisture in a room, this was different. It didn't seem like powers for destruction, but more like survival. And since obtaining her new strength, if this was what she could do in her sleep… what new abilities would she have when she was fully awake?
Torin stepped back and shook his head, marveling at the extraordinary events that had become a daily occurrence. Thankfully, he had opted for two separate beds as the rain thoroughly drenched Kai's bed with her tossing and turning. As Kai continued sleeping, Torin occasionally stepped outside for quick errands - grabbing food and drinks, but always coming back to check on her after every errand. On one occasion, he attempted to start the RV again, but it refused to crank.
He even opened the hood in an attempt to examine the problem, only to see that Artemis had shot four arrows. "What are these arrows even made of?" He complained they had easily pierced the engine like it weren't a hunk of metal. Torin knew he couldn't linger there, so he started packing and collecting the camping gear that came with the RV. He walked around to see what had survived, but between the shockwave from Artemis and the downpour of Kai, nothing was certain.
On the other hand, still weakened, Artemis finally returns to Hera after multiple stops to take a break. She needed her followers to pray and bring offerings to regain strength. As Hera had said before, she and many others from their realm were teleported to this one. At first arrival, they had no followers, no source of power, and they were all shells compared to their peak selves. That's why Artemis wasn't supposed to use the little power she had. And the reason Hera desperately tried to avoid picking a fight with Ra.
Seeing Artemis, Hera was disappointed as she had no physical wounds. She ordered soldiers to take Artemis to a room where all of Artemis's followers formed a cult, decorating the room with flowers and small animals.
Before the soldiers carried Artemis back on a stretcher, she grabbed Hera's arm, "I found her," Artemis whispered. "She doesn't seem to remember herself or our Realm, and for some reason, her powers seem limited compared to the potential."
Hera, hearing such words from Artemis, was now even more disappointed. She had a question to decide whether she would dispose of Artemis at that moment, "So what you're telling me is that you, THE Huntress, let weak prey with limitations outwit you. Now, here you lie stretched out before me, reciting this as if it would make me smile. Did you look past me so much that you truly believed bruises and excuses would be enough?"
Artemis had prepared for Hera's inevitable fury and triumphantly revealed Kai's bracelet from her pouch. Instantly, Hera's sense honed in on the enigmatic power pulsating within the bracelet. Artemis disclosed that she had crushed one, using it to locate Kai. Hera, understanding the surge of power she felt, wondered who had entered the fray with such formidable energy. Artemis elucidated that Kai had only displayed power in the moment of her friend's death—an aquatic shield distinct from Poseidon's yet reminiscent of a water deity.
Artemis stressed that Kai's power felt strange, although the little power she displayed was nothing to be worried about, for she didn't know how to use it. The power and potential in the bracelets seemed as if there was something more to the girl. Artemis then recounted the moment when she was about to deal with Kai, only to be interrupted by Ra.
"Ra! Damnit," Hera said, biting her nails. "I told you to steer clear of him. We're not ready, and now he knows others are in his Domain, he will be coming." With a thought in mind, Hera quickly turned back to Artemis, "Wait, how did you escape?"
Artemis began to tear up, turning her face to the ceiling, "That's the thing, he wasn't even present—it was just a warning. His warning did this. And sure, I'm not at full strength… but him just laying eyes on else, showing we now had his attention, was too much. Just knowing there's another out there like Zeus… it's overwhelming."
Hera's antennae perked up, hoping that Artemis could provide crucial insights into the nature of Ra's formidable power. Despite her weakened state, Artemis sat up to share her account, "Zeus' command turns clear skies dark, raining thunder, and when he speaks, his voice aggressively vibrates through your bones. Creating fear that beats your heart for you at an increasing rate.
Conversely, Ra wields power that feels like a draining force, siphoning away every drop of energy in your veins and compelling you into utter exhaustion, forcing you to kneel. Under his influence, the sun surpassed even Helios; it evaporated every trace of water right before my eyes. He didn't need to appear; it was a mere display of overwhelming power."
Hera thought about the situation, wondering why Ra hadn't sent someone like Horus with his watchful eye or Sekhmet due to her association with war. The recognition that the bracelet was forged by none other than Hephaestus and the immense power it contained left her deeply concerned about the other bracelet. Questions swirled in her mind: how much power did Kai possess, and how did she not know about it?
Further, why were they so outmatched? It's been years, and still, they were not gaining strength fast enough to keep up with the unfolding events. While they knew Kai's healing abilities, the update that breaking her bracelet could unleash a downpour of that magnitude, coupled with reports of a water barrier, left Hera uneasy. She wonders if Kai had complete control over her powers. Would she have defeated a peak version of Artemis?
Hera, the queen of the gods, her eyes ablaze with a tempest of wrath, slammed her fist against the surface. Spiderwebbed cracks raced across the transparent canvas, shards bursting forth in an expulsion, "Damn, is there no good news? Why can't men keep it in their pants? And when did Oceanus make such a nuisance?" Hera grunted. She raised her hand to her head as if it was in pain, her other hand on her hip as she paced back and forth. "There's no telling how many of those brats are running around, and it's taking this long to catch one! The first thing I'm going to do once I regain my strength is make all men infertile until we need them."
Artemis was confused and began to rain questions, "Oceanus is Kai's father? How do you know? Wait, how long have you known? Who is her mother? Is she a half-breed? Does that make her a Titan or a God?" Artemis asked, worried about the new perspective.
Hera fell into silence as she contemplated the situation. She had heard Poseidon ask Oceanus for help as Poseidon was protecting something belonging to Oceanus, but it was all an assumption. In Hera's opinion, something felt amiss; Kai couldn't possibly be a Titan. Kai's appearance was too... human. Though it raised a debate, confusion deepened; how would such a feeble body contain such immense power, besides the Titans were all bigger and stronger than a giant. And not once in her lifetime has, she heard of a Demi-Titan. As Hera pondered, she waved off Artemis's questions and signaled the troops to take Artemis to her cult. This allows Hera's thoughts to unfold but leaves Artemis's questions unanswered.
Amid Hera's contemplation, a soldier who accompanied a different god returned to report and received whatever updates about the General's plan. Hera responded by explaining every detail of the General's actions, dismissing his strategy as "Human ideas." Despite her initial hopes of bringing back a Siren, a part of her secretly wished Triton would eliminate them all. It would be ultimately beneficial if Triton took out the General for her, and it would even give some insight into what Ra would do to trespassers in his realm if he caught Triton killing humans. The human population's naivety disgusted Hera; she found it absurd that so many believed the fabricated stories the Government provided while the evidence of deceit lay right in front of them.
