Chapter 62 - [62] The Revolutionary Army Makes a Move

"A flying ship?"

The Red-Haired Pirates' senior officers were also shocked upon hearing Beckman's report.

None of them expected a rookie like Sora to have obtained such a piece of technology.

"If this news is true, then we have to seize it."

"And if we can't, then we have to destroy it."

"There's no way we can let that kind of ship fall into the hands of any of the Four Emperors."

Yasopp, his curly hair bouncing as he spoke, looked at Beckman with a grave expression.

The biggest advantage pirates have is striking fast and fleeing even faster.

A flying fleet would push that advantage to its limit.

If any of the Four Emperors gained a fleet of flying ships, they'd gain a crushing edge over the others.

No question about it.

Yet Shanks didn't respond to Yasopp or Beckman.

His eyes remained fixed coldly on the photo of Sora in the newspaper.

Sora had appeared.

But Luffy was nowhere to be found in the headlines—and that sank Shanks' heart to the bottom.

Could it be that Sora had already defeated Luffy?

That thought crept into his mind—but he quickly shook it off.

Luffy had eaten the Nika Fruit—the fruit of freedom and will. He wouldn't go down so easily.

Shanks had full confidence in that.

Still, this Sora…

He was trouble. And in the future, he might become a true rival.

They couldn't allow him to grow unchecked.

With that in mind, Shanks looked at his crew and said:

"I'm going to Sabaody Archipelago. I'll seize that ship myself."

The other Red-Haired Pirates were stunned. They hadn't expected their captain to go in person.

Beckman flicked his cigarette into the fire and looked at him.

"Whitebeard and the Marines are about to go to war."

"The Navy is gathering forces right near Sabaody Archipelago."

"You sure you want to stir things up right now?"

"Whitebeard might thank you for taking off the pressure early."

"But I don't want to get surrounded by the three admirals, Sengoku, and Garp all at once."

Shanks: "…"

…He hadn't thought that far ahead. He just wanted to teach Sora a lesson…

Somewhere on a secret island — Revolutionary Army Headquarters

"Sora, the Godslayer."

"A flying ship…"

Monkey D. Dragon smiled as he looked down at the newspaper in his hands.

In his eyes, anyone who dared slay Celestial Dragons and oppose the World Government was a natural ally of the Revolutionary Army—someone worth recruiting.

And if the Revolutionary Army could get their hands on that flying ship technology, they'd be one step closer to toppling the world's tyrants.

"Mr. Dragon, the others have assembled."

Orange-haired, high-heeled Deputy Chief of Staff Koala approached Dragon and informed him.

"Good."

Dragon nodded and made his way to the conference hall.

Inside—

With her violet bob cut, red sleeveless vest, tie, gloves, long skirt and boots, the bold and extravagant Eastern Army commander Belo Betty grumbled:

"Making us wait like this… Dragon's too slow."

"Doesn't he know time is life?"

"Commander Betty, the Supreme Commander is here," Chief of Staff Sabo said with a chuckle.

"I've gathered everyone to discuss an important matter," Dragon announced, stepping forward to address the Revolutionary Army officers and regional commanders.

Once all eyes were on him, he held up the newspaper.

"According to the latest report, the Godslayer Sora robbed the Celestial Tribute fleet at G8 Fortress."

"And he's now confirmed to own a ship that can fly through the sky."

The commanders stirred at his words.

Robbing the tribute, owning a flying ship…

This Sora was clearly capable.

Betty raised her brows, intrigued.

"Oh? And a handsome one, too?"

She snatched the newspaper from the others and brightened the moment she saw Sora's photo.

After Dragon finished, Sabo picked up where he left off:

"Whether it's Sora's strength or his flying ship tech—both are exactly what we need."

"The commander's intention is to recruit Sora into the Revolutionary Army."

"So… thoughts?"

The commanders exchanged glances, then spoke in unison:

"Agreed."

They all understood the strategic power of an aerial fleet.

Betty leaned back in her chair, crossing her long legs atop the table.

"Dragon, how do you plan to win him over?"

"He doesn't exactly strike me as someone who follows rules."

"I plan to send someone to make initial contact. After learning his intentions, we'll proceed accordingly," Dragon replied.

"Then let me go."

"I'm planning a training mission with Hack on Fishman Island. I can stop by Sabaody and investigate his whereabouts."

Koala stepped forward, volunteering.

"In that case, I'll leave it to you," Dragon agreed without hesitation.

"Tch, I wanted to go…" Betty sighed in disappointment.

Sora's picture was way too handsome—she wanted to see him in person.

Calm Belt – Amazon Lily, the Kuja Kingdom

"He actually dared to rob the Celestial Tribute fleet?"

"Does he really want to go to war with the World Government?"

Pirate Empress Boa Hancock bit her thumb in shock as she read the newspaper.

She already knew Sora had killed a Celestial Dragon.

But seeing him strike at their tribute fleet?

That level of defiance still shook her.

Attacking the Celestial Tribute was a direct slap to the World Government's face—and they would stop at nothing to erase such an insult.

Beside her, Sandersonia and Marigold were equally stunned.

But their shock wasn't about the robbery—it was about the flying ship.

With such a vessel, Sora could bypass the Calm Belt and enter Amazon Lily at will.

More importantly… how had this "rookie" managed to acquire a technology that made even world powers drool?

Is he really just a rookie? the sisters thought in disbelief.

"Big sister, should we try to contact him privately?" asked green-haired Sandersonia.

She, too, was tempted by the potential of Sora's flying ship.
