Marine Headquarters, Marineford.
Bang!
"What did you just say?!"
"Sora robbed the World Government's Celestial Tribute fleet?!"
Fleet Admiral Sengoku slammed his palm down on his desk, eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at Brannew.
The Marines had spent the past month laying a trap around Water 7, with Akainu and Garp on high alert—yet Sora never showed.
Then just as they pulled back to handle the Ace situation and Blackbeard's capture, that bastard Sora shows up?
Did he have a mole inside Marine HQ?
The thought infuriated Sengoku.
And now, with the Celestial Tribute robbed, the pressure from the World Government would surely land right back on him—preventing him from focusing on the looming conflict with Whitebeard.
That was what really had him rattled.
Glancing at Sengoku's stunned face, Brannew continued his report:
"Sora didn't just rob the fleet. He also killed G8 Base Commander Jonathan and abducted Head Chef Jessica."
"Additionally, all CP0 operatives escorting the tribute were killed."
Sengoku's expression darkened instantly, and a terrifying aura erupted from him as he glared at Brannew.
"Tell me everything. Every last detail!"
Sora going against the World Government? Sengoku could stomach that.
Even him wiping out corrupt Marine branches? He could overlook it.
But killing Jonathan—an admired and honorable Marine officer?
That was crossing the line.
Feeling the suffocating pressure from Sengoku, Brannew wiped the sweat from his forehead and spoke cautiously:
"According to the report from G8…"
"As the tribute fleet arrived near the base, Sora descended in a flying ship."
"A battle broke out. Three tribute ships were seized. The last one was safely escorted into the fortress with Marine help."
"Later, the fortress itself was infiltrated. By the time the intruders escaped, Commander Jonathan and all CP0 agents were dead, and Head Chef Jessica had been abducted."
"However, aside from that, there were no other casualties at G8."
A flying ship?
No other casualties?
Sengoku paused, frowning.
Jessica being taken wasn't surprising. That bastard Sora had already killed Celestial Dragons and kidnapped kings and princesses from allied nations.
Snatching a famously beautiful Marine chef? Not shocking anymore.
But then Sengoku locked eyes on Brannew and asked grimly:
"How exactly did Jonathan die?"
Brannew's sweat returned.
"It appears… his heart was pierced by Finger Gun…"
Finger Gun.
Sengoku's eyes narrowed sharply.
"I'll make the Five Elders give me an explanation for this. But you—say nothing about this to anyone. Understand?"
"Yes, Fleet Admiral Sengoku," Brannew replied instantly.
With a wave of his hand, Sengoku dismissed him, then grabbed the Den Den Mushi and dialed the Five Elders.
Jonathan being killed by CP0? That required answers.
But perhaps anticipating his call, the Five Elders didn't pick up.
"Those bastards!"
Sengoku's jaw clenched with fury.
If the Marines weren't about to go to war with Whitebeard, he'd march to Mary Geoise and demand justice himself.
Glaring out the window, Sengoku muttered:
"Sora… once I've dealt with Whitebeard, you're next."
...
Holy Land Mary Geoise.
One of the Five Elders, the curly-haired God of Scientific Defense, stared coldly at the CP0 agent kneeling before him.
"You're sure Sora possesses a ship that can fly?"
If Sora truly had an airborne vessel, Mary Geoise was no longer safe. An attack could come at any time.
He had to confirm the facts.
"Yes, sir. Without a doubt," the CP0 agent replied firmly.
"Every Marine at G8 saw it for themselves."
"That bastard… where did he get that kind of technology?!"
The God of Scientific Defense was livid.
A flying ship—something even Vegapunk had yet to develop—was a game-changing weapon for any faction.
"We can't let Sora grow any further."
"Nor can we allow that technology to spread," said the bald Financial God, polishing his katana.
"But with the Ace situation, the Marines are fully occupied with preparing for war against Whitebeard," said the golden-haired Agricultural God, shaking his head.
"More importantly, Sora is unpredictable. We can't track his movements," added the Legal God with a mustache.
The worst kind of pirate… was one who moved in the shadows.
After a moment of silence, the Environmental God with the long beard spoke:
"Then establish a new department—one solely dedicated to tracking Sora."
"When the Whitebeard situation is over, we'll have that department work alongside Marine Admirals and elite CP0 to capture him."
The other Elders nodded.
"Agreed."
...
A secret Sky Island.
"Boss."
"We've got massive news."
An assistant reporter rushed over to 'Big News' Morgans, unable to contain his excitement.
"Speak," Morgans said, sipping wine as he rubbed his increasingly round belly.
Ever since hiding out on this sky island, he'd gotten even fatter. He used to flap and fly for ten meters—now five meters was a struggle.
"Our informant reports that the World Government's tribute fleet was robbed by the Godslayer Sora."
"He also killed G8 Commander Jonathan—and he seems to have a flying ship."
Tribute robbed?
A flying ship?!
Morgans' eyes gleamed with intensity. He began pacing in excitement.
Sora's chaos potential was beyond imagination.
Not only had he robbed the World Government's treasure, he'd obtained a flying ship.
This kind of news would rock the world.
Every major power would be shaken.
A grin spread across Morgans' beak.
"Print it immediately! Send the report worldwide!"
"Yes, sir!"
