Min-jae came back.
Of course he did.
He walked into the bakery like he owned the damn place, holding a small gift bag. "Morning, Jun-seo. Brought you a surprise."
Kwang-su nearly choked on his own spit.
Jun-seo took the bag with a smile that was way too sweet.
"Aw, you didn't have to…"
Inside was a handmade cherry jam jar. Labeled in perfect handwriting: "For the Sweetest One Here."
Kwang-su made a strangled sound like he was trying not to break a rolling pin.
"Oh my god," he muttered under his breath. "He's gift-wrapping compliments now."
But Jun-seo wasn't done.
"Thank you, Min-jae," he said, stepping a little closer. "You're honestly so thoughtful."
Kwang-su's eye twitched.
Jun-seo turned his head slowly, eyes locking with Kwang-su's, and said in the most innocent voice ever:
"Not everyone shows affection by smashing a tray of croissants just because someone smiled at me."
Kwang-su's jaw dropped. "You—!"
"Oh, by the way," Jun-seo continued, "Min-jae offered to help me after closing. We'll be working late. Together."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT."
Both turned to Kwang-su, who was red in the face and vibrating with rage.
"Why not?" Jun-seo asked sweetly.
"Because this is a bakery, not a dating sim!"
"Oh?" Jun-seo smirked. "Funny, coming from someone who calls coworkers 'boyfriend' in front of customers."
Min-jae blinked. "Wait. What?!"
Jun-seo turned, smiled at Min-jae and patted his arm.
"Don't worry. It was just a joke. He's always joking. Even when it's... not very funny."
Kwang-su finally snapped.
"Fine! You want to flirt in front of me? Go ahead! I'll just go cry into the butter!"
Jun-seo leaned on the counter with a smug grin.
"Good. Maybe it'll make it taste less bitter."
