Chapter 26 - Chapter 26- Void Library building

Chapter 26- Void Library building

Vector traversed through the village until he reached the base of Ironfang Mountain Range, which stood majestically to the east of Vantara. As he approached, the trees began to appear, but not as dense as outside the village. The trees here were sparser as they gave way to imposing rocky cliffs that rose dramatically before him.

Vector's gaze was drawn immediately toward the eastern mountain face, where the Ironfang Mountains dominated the horizon with silent grandeur. The formidable peaks seemed to pierce the sky above, while lush, verdant trees concealed the lower portions of the cliffs.

In fact, this mountain range was the reason the Naga Forest hadn't spread farther eastward. This impressive mountain range had effectively halted the expansion of the Naga, resulting in the forest covering only one side of the mountain range, creating a distinctive crescent moon formation when viewed from above.

"This mountain..." Vector murmured as he stepped closer, reaching out to rest a hand against the rough stone surface. He extended his hand and pressed his palm against the stone surface, feeling the cool, solid strength of the rock beneath his fingertips. "Naturally elevated, hidden in plain sight… can be a perfect camouflage."

A glint passed his eyes as he assessed the strategic advantages of the location. Although the trees surrounding the base were less densely clustered than the forest surrounding Vantara, they still provided sufficient natural camouflage for any entrance he might establish for the Library Building.

Vantara itself was protected by wooden walls on three sides, north-south-and-west side. And there is no wall on the east side, this was because the northern and southern walls extended directly to the mountainside, rendering additional fortifications for the eastern side unnecessary. Furthermore, the section of the mountain that fell within the village boundary was exceptionally steep, making it a natural barrier. The steep terrain made it virtually impossible for humans or beasts to traverse from the village to the opposite side of the mountain, or vice versa.

Vector turned back as his eyes drifted towards the village, "...And the only accessible route where I am standing is only through the village."

Vector now felt it to be a good location, as he analyzed the defensive and hidden possibilities. "Anyone trying to reach it here would have to pass through Vantara first."

If the Void Library could be constructed within the mountain itself, it would remain completely concealed from prying eyes and undisturbed by external forces. The natural formation offered perfect camouflage and an ideal hidden location. Not even the residents of Vantara would suspect that a structure was hidden and built within the mountain. It would be most secure and hidden for sure.

Vector faced the cliff of the hill as he raised his head, his penetrating gaze focused intently on the towering hill before him.

Without hesitation he asked the system. "System! Is it possible to construct the Library building inside this mountain's interior?"

=====================

>[System Notification]

[Confirmed; Geological structure is suitable. The Void Library Building can be built within the internal space of the mountain. System will hollow and reinforce the internal cavity as part of the construction process.]

=====================

Vector's lips slowly curved and a satisfied smile formed upon receiving the system's affirmative response.

"It's possible," he whispered. Base of the hill was best for the entrance of the Library Building leading to the inside of the mountain. And if a good location was found where the entrance can also be concealed then it was best.

With renewed purpose, he began to observe and examine the base of the hill to identify the optimal location for the Library building's entrance. He conducted a comprehensive survey, moving from one end to other end of the entire base that fell within the village boundary.

Then, He saw a location which perfectly fit his criteria.

An ideal location that would serve perfectly as the camouflage for the entrance to the Library. The site was abundantly covered with peepal trees and various climbing vines that had attached themselves to the steep Hillside, creating a thick layer of vegetation covering that completely obscured any exposed rock on this section of the hill. This lush natural screen would provide the perfect concealment for a hidden entrance to his ambitious project. No villagers passed this way. To any outsider, or even the villagers themselves, it was just another wild, overgrown plant to the cliff of the mountain.

But to Vector, it was the perfect disguise.

"It's perfect," he whispered, satisfaction evident in his tone as he contemplated, "Hidden beneath the trees. Obscured by nature itself. The ideal entrance."

"System," he said, his voice firm and clear. "Begin construction of the Library here and the entrance should be hidden behind these plants covering the steep side of the Hill."

>[System Notification]

[Host need not worry. The entrance will be completely concealed from the outside world. Even someone standing directly in front of it will not perceive it.]

[System Initiating Void Library Construction…]

=====================

A moment passed. Then—

=====================

>System Notification

[Due to the absence of Origin Energy on Ethereum, the Host must place a hand on the mountain's surface. This will allow the system to draw energy through the Host's body to build the Core. Once the Core is formed, the Void Library Building will link to a sub-dimensional space in the Void, from which all required energy will be drawn.]

=====================

Vector nodded and placed his hand at the surface of the hill after hearing the notification. System started the energy transfer through the hand of Vector. He felt a rush of energy coursing through him, traveling down his arm and into the mountain. And then…

Silence… nothing happened and he didn't sense anything.

He waited for something to happen. If the structure was built inside the mountain then there must be some movement of earth beneath him or tremors, no visual signs of change. Not even a flicker of light. He didn't feel anything.

Puzzled, Vector frowned. "System, did the transfer fail? Why is there no sign of construction?"

=====================

>[System notification]

[The transfer was successful. The Core is being formed.]

[Host is currently too weak to detect the structural changes occurring deep inside the mountain. Even Origin Energy practitioners, who reached their peak, would not sense the activity. The energy surging now is derived from the Will of the Void, it defies the natural senses.]

=====================

Vector exhaled slowly, feeling mildly insulted by the system's blunt tone, but he let it pass. But he ignored it and waited for the completion of the Void Library building.

But unbeknownst to him, inside the mountain huge changes were taking place.

When Vector placed his hand, energy was transferred to build the core. First from the energy the core was built, which is like a Spherical Crystal and then this core established connection to the sub-dimensional space of the Void. Endless Energy began to be drawn from the Void through the Spherical Crystal Core. This energy began to spread around and began to give a structure for the Void Library building.

The energy drawn from the Void was the Chaos Energy, which had the power of destruction and creation both.

Inside the mountain the energy began to hollow out the interior, tearing through solid stone as if it were soft clay. And with surgical precision, creating smooth chambers without debris, without sound. No tremor or quake disturbed the surface. Everything was calm, yet within the mountain, an architectural miracle was underway.

A vast spherical cavity was being created, shaped with geometric precision and reinforced from within by glowing structures of blue crystal and steel-like alloy. The energy weaved through the hollow like threads in the cavity, hardening the walls into something stronger than any earthly material, making it completely resistant to both natural and magical destruction.

The Chaos Energy began its creation and materialized structures of the Library from the void itself. Stone pillars rose from the floor, forming the floors and supporting columns. First the Central Core Hall was formed and then various structures began to materialize and the Spherical Crystal core also floated in the centre of the floor. Then Chaos Energy began creating a floor beneath the Central Core Hall and Various empty shelves rose within this floor and also 100 rooms were formed on the floor while formations began to embed in these rooms giving a mysterious sense and feeling to it.

Another floor was also made beneath this floor where a huge common hall was made and then around 500 rooms were created and various structures, pods and formations were also arranged in these rooms. Then energy didn't stop there. It made one more floor beneath this floor. The floor forming had nothing placed in it, there was only an empty floor. Arcane lanterns affixed themselves to the walls of all the floors, lit with flickering lights.

At last, the energy from the Spherical crystal extended outward, carving a discreet corridor toward the base of the mountain.

Outside, at the base of the mountain, concealed behind layers of moss-covered vines and thick vegetation, a hidden entrance took form. Blending so perfectly into the mountainside behind the plants on the steep side of the mountain that even a trained scout might walk past without noticing. Only those who bore Vector's mark, or the system's permission, could open it.

The energy faded, the light dimmed, within the Spherical Crystal Core. But within the mountain… a fortress of knowledge had been born.

Vector stood at the base of the mountain but he also didn't sense that an entrance had been made at the base of the mountain. But after the construction was completed, he received the system's notification.

=====================

>[System Notification]

[Void Library Building– Construction, complete.]

=====================

After the system notification, at that exact moment, the concealed entrance slid open with a soundless whisper, revealing a narrow passage into the heart of the mountain.

Vector, who had been waiting quietly at the foot hill, looked up in surprise as a thin line of light broke through the foliage. The stone parted, revealing the entrance he hadn't even known had formed.

He stepped forward, and entered the entrance.

The corridor ahead opened into a wide chamber lit by arcane lanterns attached to the wall, they shimmered gently against the polished stone walls as he moved towards the Void Library Building. As his boots touched the floor, a light tremor hummed through the air, the Void Library building acknowledging his presence.

Vector reached the 2nd Floor of the Void Library building through the entrance.

In Front of him towering shelf stood. Vector walked past rows of towering shelves carved from crystalwood, their surfaces glowing faintly with embedded formations. Each shelf stretched from floor to ceiling, could house countless books. Though currently there were no books.

Then, a familiar blue interface appeared before him, accompanied by the system's steady voice.

=====================

> [System Notification]

[Welcome, Host.]

[The Void Library Building has been successfully built inside the Ironfang Mountain. ]

[Would you like to receive a functional overview of the floor you're currently standing on?]

=====================

"Yes," Vector responded mentally, his eyes observing this floor.

System interface appeared before him and introduced the floor and its function.
