Chapter 58 - Chapter 58; Welcome Mr Lu, Mrs Lu

The Pricy Store gleamed like a hidden jewel in the heart of the luxury mall, a sanctuary of couture nestled among glass towers and polished marble. Everything about it was exquisite.

The glass doors slid open silently as the Lu family entered, the cool scent of sandalwood and fresh linen brushing against their skin like whispered luxury.

Inside, the lighting was soft and golden, casting a honeyed glow over the mannequins clad in cutting-edge designer wear. The atmosphere exuded exclusivity, a realm reserved only for the elite who could spend money recklessly.

Staff in sleek black uniforms bowed slightly, instantly recognizing their employer.

"Welcome, Mr. Lu. Mrs. Lu. Young Masters. Your private suite is ready," a well-groomed manager spoke up as he approached them respectfully and gestured toward a velvet-lined corridor that led to the suite.

Lu Zhi Hao gave a subtle nod as they trailed behind him, "Show the boys to the fitting lounge. They need formal wear—semi-official or a standard suit will do for an official occasion."

"Yes, sir."

Lu Ting Cheng and Lu Zi Zhen were quickly escorted away by two expert tailors, while Lu Zhi Hao turned, his gaze softening as he looked at his wife, Lu Wan Ruyi. She arched a brow, her smile playful, gazing at him.

She could see where his eyes were glued to a couple of outfits.

"Matching couple outfits? Are you sure you want to wear that?" she teased, eyes scanning the pristine, elite surroundings. She rarely visited any of these kinds of places, but they weren't new to her. It's just that all the shopping had been left for Lu Zhi Hao to handle.

"Yeah, and we'll donate a few gemstones on your behalf to the charity gala, we are doing the good deeds," he replied, half-grinning. "It's been a while since we attended any gala together. Some people still don't even know what Mrs. Lu looks like. Since we're moving back, it's time they met you, and I will introduce you to some." They have always been occupied, but then again, his wife has never liked attending these events.

He smirked lightly. "It's a charity gala. We should look like the power couple we are. Aren't we one of the best couples out there?"

Ruyi chuckled under her breath and turned her attention to a nearby display of gowns. One dress in particular caught her eye: a midnight-blue silk piece with an asymmetric neckline and delicate silver embroidery cascading like falling stars. It shimmered under the warm lights—tasteful, yet commanding.

A tailor approached with its male complement: a dark tailored tuxedo with a matching silver-threaded trim at the collar and cuffs.

Lu Zhi Hao ran a hand along the fine material, nodding with satisfaction. "This is perfect. Subtle but commanding. Befitting my status," he said, eyes gleaming. He always had an eye for fashion and always loved to have the best.

"All right, Master, you can take your time examining the pieces." The tailors respectfully retreated, leaving the couple to deliberate and have their moment.

Ruyi ran her fingers along the edge of the gown, the silk cool beneath her touch. She glanced at Lu Zhi Hao from the corner of her eye—tall, composed, his attention on the tuxedo, but his presence was always impossibly magnetic. She turned, about to say something witty, but paused when she caught the way he was already looking at her.

Not at the gown. Not at the tailor's craftsmanship.

At her.

"Midnight blue, huh?" he murmured, stepping closer. "Looks like it was made for you. Like the night sky, it finally met its stars. Just befitting your temperament."
