Chapter 52 - Chapter 52; But Daad.....

Lu Wan Ruyi heavily sighed, brushing his hair backwards gently. "Fun is playing a video game, sweetie, and not the highway, whatever graphics you play in the game, ain't the same in real life. Not getting caught on camera racing a car that barely qualifies as legal. You can go to the racing course, have as much fun there as you want."

Lu Zhi Hao scoffed quietly. "He was drifting like he was born doing it. Don't let the act fool you. He knew what he was doing!"

Lu Ting Cheng sat on the side, trying to diminish his presence.

Zi Zhen winced, casting a half-glare at his dad. Why was he being this hateful? "Can you not expose me like that?" What kind of a father does that? They should be the closest allies.

Lu Zhi Hao grinned. "Then don't lie like a rookie. I can see it through those gritted teeth if yours."

Lu Wan Ruyi pinched the bridge of her nose. "All right, no illegal driving! Don't do wrong things at the place at the wrong time. If an accident happened, you could have killed 'INNOCENT PEOPLE', all deaths should be justifiable." What would happen then? Lu Zi Zhen had already killed many people, mostly those who attacked him, like at the warehouse, so he wasn't entirely clean, but it would be so wrong if innocent people died.

Zi Zhen looked up at her, eyes wide. "All right, Mother, but what about supervised rides? Would that be okay?"

"Can you define what you mean by that 'supervised ride,'" she replied, coolly pinching his cheeks.

He turned slowly to Lu Ting Cheng, who had been quiet this entire time. "Don't drag me into this." He coldly glared at him.

Lu Zi Zhen turned around to look at his father, who was also looking at the other side. He wasn't going to get himself involved. "Listen to what your mommy is saying." His wife had the final say in their home and all the affairs; he wouldn't intervene.

"But Daaad…"

Lu Zhi Hao ignored him, looking to the other side.

"Brother....."

Lu Ting Cheng also gazed at the other side. This brother of his was trying to shift the attention over to his side. He didn't want to be scolded.

"Nope. You think I'm suicidal enough to get in a car with you? Do what momma just said." To him, it was just a month away, and he would be legally allowed to drive his car. He can be patient and be a good son.

Lu Wan Ruyi's lips twitched despite trying to control herself. Having boys was something else; they were wild, but she was glad he was living his life. Previously, when he was a sickly kid, he couldn't play with other kids normally; he couldn't even walk a long distance. "You will do extra training, real driving and not the racing one, the safe kind, with rules. And you will have to earn back my trust before you can hold that steering wheel, even if you turn 18, I won't allow you to."

Zi Zhen blinked. "So I can still drive later on…?"

She gave him an intimidating look.

He instantly straightened, gazing at her warmly. "Yes, ma'am. I will be earning your trust. Got it."

Lu Zhi Hao ruffled the boy's hair. "You're lucky your mom's soft-hearted." Yes, he knew Lu Wan Ruyi was soft-hearted when it came to Lu Zi Zhen, because he had seen her go through dark times with him, be it in the hospitals or at home, having to go to school and wait up on him. She had put in the extra care because of his health, she couldn't get her heart to heavily scold him.
