Chapter 82 - Visiting Red light District

The next day.

Bob was lying in bed, enjoying a pleasant dream, when he was suddenly awakened by a series of knocks on the door.

Rubbing his eyes, he got up and opened the door to find Kaido standing outside, just as they had agreed to go out yesterday.

Seeing this, Bob patted his head, feeling utterly speechless.

Looking at the sky outside, it was only around five o'clock, and the sun hadn't even risen yet! If Kaido was this eager to go out and fight to improve his strength, even a dog would shake its head in disbelief.

Bob was now certain that Kaido was using the excuse of improving his strength to go have fun in the red-light district. After all, he hadn't been able to go last time, and probably had a fire burning inside him! Damn it! You're way too eager this early in the morning!

As soon as Bob opened the door, he started shouting.

"Commander Bob, if we leave now, we should arrive in the afternoon! Let's prepare a bit, and by evening, we can enjoy the beauties—oh no, the scenery—in the red-light district!"

Kaido face was flushed with excitement as he spoke to Bob in the same tone.

During previous discussions with the crew, Kaido had learned about the red-light district and had decided he absolutely had to go there.

Last time, he hadn't succeeded, and it had left a knot in his heart, making him feel extremely uncomfortable.

As for why he invited Bob, it was entirely because he had no experience in such places and wanted to drag Bob along.

But what he didn't know was that Bob, despite appearing mature, wasn't much different from him.

"Alright!" Bob yawned and spoke.

While Kaido wait Outside, Bob quickly got ready inside his room.

He packed a bag of cash and also grabbed a mask.

This mask had been confiscated from a pirate on the ship and somewhat resembled a fox.

The main reason for taking the mask was to consider its potential use when going out on the ship in the future. Given his current influence, it was highly likely he might be recognized.

If that happened, forget about visiting the red-light district; even buying something would be impossible.

"Let's go!" Bob called out to Kaido outside the door, hoisted a large bag of money, and headed towards the lifeboat.

In no time, the two of them reached their destination.

From the ship's side, Bob pulled out the lifeboat, dropped it into the water, and climbed aboard.

"No wonder you informed Captain Rocks yesterday—you had already planned to leave at this time!"

Bob threw the bag of money onto the lifeboat's deck, flipped over the ship's edge, and landed lightly at the bow.

He then pulled out a navigation tool from his pocket, holding a map in one hand and fiddling with the compass in the other.

"The earlier we go, the earlier we can return!" Kaido said as he started the boat, and with a loud noise, the sound of water breaking beneath the lifeboat echoed.

"Haha! I can see you can't wait!" Bob glanced at him with disdain and said, "Let's go! Head left!"

Under Bob direction, Kaido steered the boat, and with a roar, the lifeboat gradually distanced itself from the Rock's ship.

This time, since it was so early, there was no one on the deck to see them off.

But fortunately, Bob had informed Whitebeard yesterday that they would be going out, so there was no need for another farewell.

As the boat's roar slowly faded, the lifeboat gradually disappeared into the still-dark night, until it was completely out of sight.

...

At the bustling port of a prosperous island, an extravagantly decorated ship was docked nearby.

Two young men of vastly different heights disembarked from the ship.

The shorter one wore a mask, while the taller one had a pair of horns on his head.

They were none other than Bob and Kaido!

"Why do you get to wear a mask, and I don't?"

As they were getting off the ship, Kaido noticed Bob pulling a mask out of a bag and putting it on. Frowning, he couldn't help but ask.

"With your level of fame, do you really need a mask?"

Bob smirked and tossed the bag to Kaido.

Hearing this, Kaido was momentarily stunned, his lips twitching, but he had no retort.

At this point in time, Kaido, both in terms of strength and fame, was far from the Yonko he would later become. Thus, in this region where the Rocks Pirates had just made their first appearance, no one recognized him.

Before the two had taken more than a few steps, a voice called out to them.

"Hello, would you like to hire a ship manager?"

A young man dressed in green approached them at the port, addressing Kaido.

"Uh, sure, I guess."

Kaido was a bit taken aback by the question. In his mind, such inquiries should be directed at Bob, as he was the one who made the decisions.

But unexpectedly, this person had mistaken him for the leader.

However, this was understandable. Given Kaido imposing stature and the aura he exuded, he certainly didn't look ordinary compared to the unremarkable Bob standing beside him.

Bob found this situation quite amusing.

This island was, without a doubt, the most prosperous place Bob had seen since arriving in this pirate world.

Not only did it have a bustling port, but there were also dedicated reception personnel stationed there.

It was safe to say they had come to the right place.

"Alright, considering the luxury of your ship, we'll need to assign multiple people to oversee it. Therefore, the fee will be six thousand Berries!"

The green-clad man smiled and spoke slowly.

"Sure!"

Without hesitation, Bob reached into the bag and pulled out six thousand Berries, handing them over to the man.

Taking the money, the man eyes flickered with delight, and he added, "Are you two here to visit our island Flower Street?"

"Yes!"

Bob raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed that many people came to Flower Street every day.

"I can take you there and save you the trouble of navigating the winding paths."

"But it will cost you an additional one thousand Berries for the guide fee!"

After hearing their affirmative response, the green-clad man spoke again.

"Alright."

Bob pulled out another one thousand Berries from the bag.

For this trip, Bob had one simple philosophy: if there was an opportunity to spend money, he would do so without haggling.

He wanted to fully experience what it felt like to have money to burn.

This could be understood as a form of retaliatory spending after being repressed for so long.

The man seemed surprised by how readily they agreed. After a brief pause, he accepted the money and politely said, "Please follow me!"
