«Well, that's not a bad use of power, shall I try it out? - I asked, not taking my eyes off the armor.

Hartley nodded:

«Of course, even though it's my ticket to freedom, it still belongs to you.

I smiled and began to quickly put on the suit. It was made up of many parts, so it was a bit difficult to put on. The helmet, the armor, the boots, that was probably the easiest part, but the main armor....

After about five minutes, I fully pulled myself together and sighed:

«Not bad, although it took a while, but with practice you can cut it in half, if not more.

«Yes, I could have made extra parts to make it easier, but I thought that was too much, so I stopped there. - Hartley then looked at the monitor screen and said: - The readings are normal, you can activate the system.

I nodded and mouthed:

«Control panel output.

Immediately after my command, a holographic interface with my vitals appeared before my eyes. The interface was necessary to view the damage to the suit, as well as my condition. It's a handy thing to have in heavy combat. It will allow to determine the severity of damage not only to my suit, but also to my armor. There were also several buttons to control the suit. To activate them it was enough to say a code phrase.

«Full coverage. - Immediately after my command, the suit was fully locked onto my body. The helmet, wristbands, and everything else locked into place perfectly. This was necessary immediately after putting on the suit, so that nothing would fall off. Of course, everything could be fixed manually, but it was much faster and more convenient. I could loosen things at will if I needed to. The phrases for this were simple: Release the left cuff, release the right cuff, and so on. Voice commands were a bit awkward, but I think it's temporary, in the future I'll try to make the control based on mental commands. Of course, I probably won't be able to do that myself, but it's definitely something to strive for. And in the future I should build in protection against telepaths, such as Grodd for example, it would be very useful. I wouldn't want to get hurt by something like that.... Although, maybe I can take away his telepathic powers and then I can protect my mind. But that's in theory, since he's a monkey, or rather a gorilla, I might not be able to do that. Then again, he's a meta, so I'm not sure about that....

The rest of the suit's functionality wasn't particularly interesting, it was a voice changer and a couple of other programs. I didn't need anything else, I didn't need the Atom suit. I need armor for protection and concealment, and of course to look good. In battle, lasers and stuff like that would only get in my way. And it's not my style to depend on suits and gadgets. I need to strive for absolute power without artifacts and other things.

«Nice suit, looks like you didn't even build a bomb into it. - I said with a chuckle: "Maybe you're already using your gun.

After my question, Hartley turned slightly pale, but did not remove his hand from the table. I'd noticed for a long time that he'd built some kind of weapon. He made them in secret and tried to keep them off camera, but one day while he was asleep, I found his secret design.

«Ha, you knew after all... - The boy grinned crookedly.

I nodded:

«Yeah, well, I was just hoping to the end that you wouldn't be stupid. Now that I'm in this armor, you think your weapon's gonna do any good?

Hartley shook his head:

«I didn't make it to hurt you, I made it to protect you. You expect me to take your word for it and wait to die? I did what you asked, but then what? Are you going to kill me or eat me? - The boy sighed and continued: - Although this suit can protect you from physical attacks, it can't protect you from ultrasonic waves, that's what I designed this gun for.

I grinned and asked:

«So you're using it?

Hartley finally pointed the gun at me and said:

«It's up to you.

I instantly teleported behind the guy's back and knocked the weapon out of his hands. Then I put pressure on his shoulder and put him back in the chair.

«Here's my answer to Hartley, you don't need a gun. I promised to release you after you did me a favor, and you did it, so you can go.

The guy had just gotten away from my spontaneous teleportation when he heard such news. He looked at me strangely and asked:

«Are you serious?

«Sure, but you still owe me a sword, don't forget, so once you've enjoyed your freedom, come and finish with it. And try not to say anything about me.

Hartley rose slowly and looked at me incredulously and then at the door:

«I wasn't expecting that, well, since you're letting go. - then the guy quickly grabbed his gloves and started walking away.

«Hold on, I'll walk you out.

After that I saw the boy off and gave him some money for the first time. He didn't refuse anything, of course, and promised to finish the blade. It's a bit strange though, I've kept him locked up for quite a while, but it's not like he hates me. I think he hates someone else. Unfortunately for him, he can't get revenge now. He'll probably be surprised when he finds out Wells' real identity. But I haven't told him yet, because he doesn't need any more information.

Yeah, now he knows not only my face, but also the location of my main base. I'd already set up a backup base at one of my businesses, just in case. I had to trust the guy, even though it's not my style. But his abilities would be very useful to me in the future, so I let him go and revealed some cards. You can't build a team without trust, even if it's a team of villains. I don't consider myself one of them, but I still consider trust an important part of an alliance with someone. The guy may be mad at me, but he's not stupid, he should understand my situation. And he doesn't have a choice. He's gonna need a job anyway. H.G. Wells is causing him a lot of problems in his life and he's not gonna get hired anywhere. So working for me would be a good option. I didn't think I'd start a team, but it wouldn't hurt to have a good engineer.

Okay, the suit is in place, and Hartley won't show up for a few more days, so we can head to Nanda Parbat. Barry's had a run-in with Grodd recently, which means the event I need is coming up in a few days. The entire Arrow team will be going after Oliver, and I'll be heading there on my own. I just need to find transportation.
