Chapter 89 - Spatial Teleportation!

Facing the combined attack of Liu Qing and Lin Xiuya, Xiao Chong remained calm and stood his ground. Just as Liu Qing and Lin Xiuya thought they had successfully struck him, they saw Xiao Chong figure vanish from the spot.

In the next moment, he appeared on the other side of the arena, a playful smile on his lips, as if everything that had just happened was merely a game to him.

"Spatial teleportation?!" Liu Qing and Lin Xiuya exchanged glances, their eyes filled with disbelief.

Their combined strike, which was considered one of the strongest in the entire academy, had been effortlessly neutralized.

"Hmph," Xiao Chong soft chuckle was faint but clearly audible to everyone. As his voice faded, the sword in his hand trembled slightly, and a faint electric spark danced at the tip of the blade, as if it contained the power of a thunderstorm.

The audience erupted in murmurs.

No one had expected such a dramatic turn in what was supposed to be a one-sided match.

Especially those who had been rooting for Liu Qing and Lin Xiuya, their faces now filled with shock and confusion.

"Lin Xiuya, didn't you always want to see my true skills? Well, let me show you what real skill is!" Xiao Chong figure flashed like lightning, closing the distance between them in an instant. His speed was so fast that it seemed to tear tiny cracks in the air.

"Xiao Chong, you're digging your own grave!" Liu Qing roared, unwilling to back down. The energy within him surged, and the giant axe in his hand was enveloped in a powerful aura, resembling a small mountain as it charged toward Xiao Chong with overwhelming force.

"Then let's give it a try!" Xiao Chong chuckled, his sword pointing diagonally toward the sky. At that moment, the sword tip was about to collide with the axe, his sword intent erupted, and the blade's light expanded, as if it had sliced through the world, accompanied by sharp whistling sounds.

"Boom!" A loud explosion echoed as the sword and axe collided, creating a massive shockwave that shook the entire arena. Just when everyone thought it would end in a stalemate, something astonishing happened—Xiao Chong sword tip remained steady on the axe surface, not even a spark was produced, while Liu Qing and Lin Xiuya expressions changed slightly, and they involuntarily took a few steps back.

"How many secrets does your sword hold?" Lin Xiuya asked, panting, his heart filled with an unprecedented sense of defeat.

Xiao Chong sheathed his sword, his smile still calm.

"The sword is merely a vessel. What truly matters is the sword intent within my heart. Although you two are strong, your combined efforts lack the synergy and spirit. True combat is not just about strength, but also the clash of wisdom and soul."

"Today's battle ends here."

As soon as Xiao Chong finished speaking, the atmosphere in the arena seemed to return to its usual tranquility, leaving only the audience still immersed in the shock of what they had just witnessed, murmuring among themselves.

"Xiao Chong, you've truly impressed me," Liu Qing said solemnly, though unwilling to admit it, he couldn't help but acknowledge Xiao Chong strength.

"Our match is far from over. Someday, I will face you again with my true strength," Lin Xiuya eyes burned with determination, refusing to accept his defeat.

"I'm always ready," Xiao Chong smiled slightly, then turned and left the arena, leaving behind a solitary and carefree figure.

"How much strength is this guy really hiding?" Liu Qing murmured softly as he watched Xiao Chong retreating figure.

"Perhaps, that's exactly where his charm lies. Always unfathomable, always full of anticipation," Lin Xiuya responded, his tone tinged with a sense of relief.

Meanwhile, in the spectator stands, a young girl's voice quietly rose, filled with admiration.

"That man is really so handsome!"

The atmosphere in the stands was ignited by the girl words, like a spring breeze brushing over a lake, stirring ripples. The surrounding girls responded one after another, shy yet unable to contain their excitement, standing up one by one, waving bouquets or light veils in their hands, their faces flushed with excitement.

"Little brother, you are our hero!" a girl in a pink dress shouted loudly, her eyes sparkling with an unusual brilliance.

"That's right! So young, yet possessing such astonishing strength and charisma, it's truly irresistible!"

Beside her, a girl holding a fan, with a clear and beautiful face, chimed in, her words full of respect.

Lin Xiuya and Liu Qing exchanged glances, both reading amusement in each other's eyes.

This scene was not the first time for them, but for Xiao Chong, it seemed to cause quite a stir every time.

"It seems this guy has gained a lot of fans," Lin Xiuya teased, his tone light, but with a hint of reflection in his heart.

"Yes, this kid charm is really something," Liu Qing shook his head, a smile of helplessness yet fondness hanging at the corner of his mouth,

"But, isn't that part of his strength?"

Just as everyone was discussing fervently, in a corner of the arena, an old man sat quietly, his gaze piercing through the noise, directly landing on the gradually receding figure.

"This child, his future achievements will be limitless," the old man muttered to himself, a complex light flashing in his eyes.

"Only, I hope he can stay true to his heart, and not let fame and fortune blind his eyes."

Time passed slowly, and on the square outside the arena, the crowd gradually dispersed, leaving only scattered discussions.

At this moment, Xiao Chong slowly stepped out of the arena gate, the sunlight casting on his resolute face, his deep eyes flickering with the embers of the battle just experienced.

Zi Yan, wearing a light purple dress, like a breeze, almost instantly floated to his front, her lively big eyes full of anticipation.

"Ah, Brother Xiao Chong, you finally came out! The match just now was so exciting, I knew you could do it!"

Zi Yan said excitedly, circling around Xiao Chong, seemingly oblivious to the occasional strange looks from around.

Xiao Chong helplessly shook his head, but couldn't help a gentle smile from curling at the corner of his mouth.

"Zi Yan, can't you let me rest for a while? I just finished the match."

"Brother Xiao Chong, you don't know, I've hit a bottleneck in my cultivation recently, my progress is so slow."

Zi Yan pouted, her eyes wide and pleading as she gazed at Xiao Chong. Her glistening eyes seemed to brim with endless anticipation.

"I heard there's a secret chamber in the Jia Nan Academy that holds some precious elixirs, which can greatly enhance cultivation speed."

Xiao Chong gently patted her head, his eyes filled with affection.

"You're always thinking about these things, aren't you? Alright, since you want to go, we'll check it out. But we must be careful not to let the dean find out."

Under the hazy moonlight, the two quietly navigated through the intricate architecture of Jia Nan Academy, shielded by the night.

Zi Yan followed closely behind Xiao Chong, her eyes sparkling with the thrill of adventure, her heart a mix of nervousness and excitement.
