"Alright. Let us begin our lesson," Mrs. Shizune spoke, her voice welcoming and enthusiastic.
Some of the students pulled out their books while others straightened their back and adjusted their postures. Shizune picked up one of the books from her pile of books and files and turned a few pages.
"Turn to page 01 of the book, 'Spells for Beginners'. If you do not have the book, I suggest you buy it by the end of the week. For now, borrow a book from one of your classmates." Mrs. Suzune said.
The sound of pages turning filled the room.
"Anyone care to explain what magic is?" Mrs. Suzune asked. A few hands shot up.
The teacher looked around the class and pointed at Tokito, and asked.
"How about you, Tokito Haruto?" The boy stood up, adjusting the pair of glasses on his nose.
The gazes of the students fell on Tokito as he prepared himself to answer the question.
"Magic is the manipulation of the mana that circulates within one's body." He answered, confident in his answer.
"Close," Mrs. Suzune replied and looked at the textbook. "The manipulation of the Mana, both externally or internally located, with the use of scrolls, relics, and spells is known as 'Magic'."
Tokito nodded and sat down. Mrs. Suzune looked around the room and pointed at Zephyr.
"Tell me, Zephyr, what are the three main types of magic and the types of Mana?" She asked.
Zephyr let out a sigh and stood up, attracting the attention of everyone in the class.
"There are three types of magic; The Twelve Elemental magic, Ancient magic and Forbidden magic.
The Twelve Elemental magic refers to the magic that utilises the twelve main elements. Those being Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Thunder, Summoning, Light, Dark, Barrier, Spacial, Spiritual, and Energy.
Ancient magic is the magic that emerged about 20,000 years ago, when even the oldest of races such as elves and gods were new.
Finally, Forbidden magic is the only type of magic illegal to use but only within a few countries. Sometimes, Forbidden magic elements are also classified as Ancient magic." Zephyr stopped to catch his breath.
The students were left flabbergasted. And before anything, Zephyr resumed.
"There are multiple classes of Mana. One's Mana class is decided during their birth, though it can be changed later in life. The most common classes of Mana include Bravon, Rolloq, Greedon, Wreth, and Pydron.
Bravon is powered by a person's bravery. Every time someone shows their fearlessness and bravery, their Mana would begin growing by a certain number. Though feeling scared or unsure of something decreases it.
Rolloq is -" Zephyr began, but before he could finish Mrs. Suzune held up her hand.
"Th-that's enough!" She said, stopping Zephyr mid-sentence. "Let's move on, please?"
Zephyr nodded and sat down on his chair. Mrs. Akane let out a huff of air and turned around.
"Our first chapter includes the classes of Mana." She said, writing on the blackboard with white chalk.
"There are five main classes of Mana. Those being Bravon; powered by one's bravery, Rolloq; powered by how kind a person is, Greedon; judges how greedy a person currently is, Wreth; how short-tempered a person is and finally, Pydron: based on how much confidence a person have in themselves.
But apart from these five classes, there are multiple others, each having their own ways to improve one another's Mana." She looked at the students, expecting a question or two from her students.
A boy rose his hand and stood up. "What's the Mana class called 'Zyx' do?" He asked.
The tension in the room grew as Mrs. Suzune looked at the boy with a serious expression.
"Zyx is the rarest Mana class in existence. It's so rare that people even question its own existence. The Mana of the bearer increases the more people know about the bearer." She answered, leaving the students astonished.
A girl rose her hand as the boy sat down. "Is there anybody who has that class of mana here in Veridion?" She asked, her voice shy.
Mrs. Suzune nodded. "Two," she answered. "The Starlit swordsman has Zyx. Along with..." she paused and looked at Zephyr.
Zephyr let out a sigh as he noticed her gaze.
"Zephyr? Would you mind displaying the Zyx class of Mana?"
Mrs. Suzune asked, recalling Zephyr's information stated on his ID. The student looked at Zephyr, even more surprised than before.
Zephyr stood up and stretched out his hand. The air around his hand began growing thicker as a dark blue coloured aura surrounded Zephyr's hand.
The students looked at Zephyr with awe.
'I just attracted unwanted attention, didn't I?' Zephyr asked himself in dismay.
Later...
It has been about eight hours. The first day of the year had ended. And Zephyr had arrived in his dorm.
"Was the first day exciting?" A feminine voice spoke to Zephyr the moment he stepped in.
On his bed, sat a white-haired elf with beautiful blue eyes. She wore a fabulous white dress, showcasing her perfect figure.
"Sylvia," Zephyr spoke as he sat down beside Sylvia. Zephyr felt his body lighten as a captivating aroma filled the room.
He let out a sigh as he looked at Sylvia. "Any nes on the heroes?" He asked.
"Yes," Sylvia spoke. "But I only about one for now." Zephyr nodded.
"About whom?" Zephyr asked, recalling his knowledge on the heroes.
"The Sorcerer," Sylvia answered, grabbing Zephyr's attention. "He's in your class. Does Tokito Haruto ring a bell?"
Zephyr looked at Sylvia as his thoughts rushed to Tokito, his turquoise coloured hair and eyes, along with his glasses.
"He's the smartest one from the six heroes. Could probably hold his own in a fight too." Zephyr replied as he stood up from his bed.
"What do you plan to do?" Sylvia asked. "You just said he's the smartest. So why not go after him when the others are dealt with?"
Zephyr looked at the elf, a grin spreading across his face. "Just give him a small challenge to test his predicting and planning abilities for the future."
