"My phone?" Mia blinked repeatedly like she didn't understand his words.
"Yes, your phone." Rey's jaws ticked and his eyes got hooded, forcing her into handing him her phone after taking it out of her pocket.
"Are you kidding? Unlock it." He ordered without sparing her a glance.
"What are you…" She faltered when he shot her a stern stare.
With trembling fingers, having a vague knowledge of why he wanted her to unlock her phone, she unlocked it and handed it over to him wondering what he was going to do next.
She began wringing her hands and focusing her stare at him, she was at the point where she was ready to do anything to get her brother's health stable, she could not afford to let Lucio die.
Rey looked at her wallpaper and nodded in approval, the little boy looked a lot like her and there was no doubt that they were siblings but he had another thing in mind. He needed to go through her contact list.
He swore he would delete and block any number that was stored in a funny manner, he didn't know why this burdened him but he didn't care anymore, all he wanted to do was to make sure she didn't have some sort of secret relationship going on behind his back.
He changed his mind mid-way and tapped on her call log's icon and his face went dark.
"I can explain, Sir! … Babe!" Mia's high pitched voice invaded his ears and looked up at her with a non-smiling face that would have sent her scurrying away but she merely swallowed and tried to be bold.
Mia stood awkwardly, expecting Rey to give her a go ahead but Rey only gave her a hard stare before going ahead to start tapping on her phone.
"She is my cousin!" Mia admitted extremely loud, with the fear of getting her cousin's contact cut off.
Rey raised two brows at her as if screaming that she could do better.
"If you don't believe me, you can…you can call her." She was nervous now, her voice shook and she had to rub her sweaty palms on her trousers which did not escape Rey's notice.
"Really?" He smirked wickedly, a thought springing up in his head.
He thought deeply about it. If she ended up being a liar, he would use that opportunity to fuck the hell out of her, the tent which had subsided all these time rised again in a more painful protest against the fabric covering it.
"Okay." He replied with nonchalance after his naughty thoughts and Mia released a sigh of relief.
Dialing the number and putting the call in a handsfree mode, the phone gave three rings before getting picked up.
"Helle Mia?" It was a female's voice and Rey frowned, his heart dropped at the disappointment.
He needed to have a fuck and he wasn't sure he was ready to go back to the bitch to have one.
"Hello Mia? What's going on?"
Studying Mia's happy face for a while, he ended the call and focused his gaze entirely on the phone, looking for his contact.
Seeing the formal way she saved his contact, made him fold his palms tightly before going on to change the name. He didn't care if they were in a contracted relationship, heading for a contract marriage, he needed her all to himself and no one else.
He typed in 'Babe' and had to stop himself from smiling at the change he made. Stopping to admire the name for a while and imagine her calling him 'babe' in an intimate manner made him stifle a groan of pleasure.
His finger hovered over the save button but he frowned, something was missing, tapping on the emoji section, he added two red love emoji and shook his head, it was still scanty, he added an extra three and decided that it was enough before pressing the save option.
Mia sat awkwardly in her seat observing her boss's action, she was lost for words seeing his facial expression change several times in the space of a few minutes. When he shifted in his seat and let something she thought was a groan escape his throat with a look of pleasure on his face, she feared the worst. What was he doing with her phone?
She tried peeking only for him to look up abruptly, startling her and making her hiccup.
"Take." He thrust the phone to her with a blank face and she took it carefully from him with her eyes still on his face to be sure she didn't let anything escape her notice.
When she finally saw the new name with excessive emojis staring at her in the face, she could not control the gasp that came out loudly and unashamedly from her wide mouth. Her eyes bulged, she had a headache and her face twisted in a grimace as she glared back at the name glaring at her.
Rey looked at Mia's reaction with satisfaction and a slight scoff. What does she think she is doing reacting like that?
When Mia met his gaze after having finished the glaring competition with the name in the phone, she almost had a nosebleed and an impending headache at the way he stared back at her as if questioning what's with her excessive exaggerated look.
"You are mine now." He declared and her stupid heart skipped.
"You don't have to be so shocked, I would do the same to your contact." He adjusted on his seat and Mia blinked at him.
Mia had to stop herself from asking if his statement from earlier meant they were really in a relationship but remembering the amount of money he had offered, she swallowed back her words.
Who was she kidding? Was she ever going to escape this after taking such an amount of money from him?
"Babe." He called with his voice deep and so low that she thought she imagined it, her core tightening and she was sure she was wet down there.
Rey looked at Mia's flustered face and was sure he could feel the sexual tension tighten, it wasn't just him.
He was sure he could use this opportunity to swoop in but there was a part of him that didn't see this as the right thing to do so he kept still and held her eyes as she met his eyes.
"Babe..." He said again.
"That's what you are to me henceforth, in and out of the house." He declared again and Mia almost felt her jaw drop to the floor.
Mia's heart thudded, 'he didn't have to look like a seductive demi god while saying that.' She whined in her head, already melting from his intense gaze.
