After only a few minutes of walking in the cool and bright morning sun, Paola and her new grandpa arrived at the farm.
Grandpa Dario had a Honda back at home. He could have driven it to his farm, but his doctor advised him that he should walk more often, as it was good for his health. So that was why he didn't drive his car to his farm.
And actually, the farm wasn't too far from his house.
Seeing the farm, Paola's eyes widened in disbelief and her mouth opened, but no word came out of it. The farm was so big and wide. And, the cultivated crops were very fruitful and almost ready for harvest.
She began to imagine, 'Since the fertility of this farm's land is great, I can't even imagine how rich I would become if I started using Foxy's powers. Good thing that I am not the real Piper Graham. I don't plan on leaving Flancholia anytime soon!'.
This was the first time Paola had seen the farm, because Piper's memories didn't show her imaginary pictures of the farm. It must be because Piper had never come to Grandpa Dario's farm before.
'I am sure that this is the first time I have come to this farm. But, why does it look very familiar to me? It's as if I had seen it somewhere before I died'. Paola wondered, and was trying the best she could to remember where she had seen the farm before.
But to no avail.
She just couldn't remember.
"Come Piper. Let me have the honor of showing you around my farm, since this is your first time here". Grandpa Dario's words brought Paola back to reality.
"Sure, Grandpa!". Her tightened fists were energetically raised in front of her as she loudly replied to Grandpa Dario with sparkling eyes, before she followed him.
'If it wasn't Spencer who had made my sweet granddaughter change, then I don't have a single clue what has made her change. But, I like her this way. My wish has finally been fulfilled. My sweet granddaughter has learned to be cheerful and is not pretending to be cheerful'. A fulfilled smile appeared on grandpa Dario's face as he thought to himself.
He proudly led Paola the way ahead and showed her around his farm, with his finger occasionally pointing at some certain buildings and crops, and explaining to her what they were and what they were used for.
A few minutes later,
Outside the farm house that had a patio in front of it, Paola was sitting on one of the patio's sofas.
She was enjoying the farm's view with a bright smile on her face.
She couldn't explain how she was feeling. "Oh my gosh. I never knew that just enjoying a farm's view could be so relaxing. If I had known, I would have worked on a farm rather than working for those ungrateful and backstabbing jerks. Be patient, Paola. Please be patient. Sooner or later, they will pay for all the wrongs they have done to you. I will repay them somehow. Hmph!". She clenched her fists as she said to herself.
Not thinking about those backstabbing jerks, Paola recalled everything grandpa Dario had shown her and had explained to her.
According to everything that Grandpa Dario had shown her, he had a very huge and spacious barn which she saw was painted red on the outside of the building.
Grandpa Dario used the barn to store food for the livestock that were staying at the shelters, and also kept his farm's equipment in the barn. Of course, Paola had seen the shelter and had seen the kind of livestock that grandpa Dario was rearing.
He has cows, goats, chickens, turkeys, and even pigs.
He also has a big warehouse for storing the harvested crops, a milking parlor, and a big stable that has up to seven horses in them. There was also a large pasture field where the animals/livestock were allowed to roam about.
Also, Grandpa Dario had a total of seven workers who worked under him.
Four of the workers consisted of three elderly women and an elderly man who was in charge of the farm after Grandpa Dario. They were all in their early 60s.
While the remaining three workers were two young men in their late and early twenties, and a young lady who was the same age as Piper aka Paola. She was twenty-two years old this year.
"This place is perfect. I just feel like sleeping even though it's still morning". Paola said.
She shut her eyes and lay on the sofa.
He was sitting on the sofa with her, but because he was currently invisible, she couldn't see him.
"Oops". Paola got up from Foxy and returned to a sitting position, before turning to him.
As for Foxy, he revealed himself after staring around and seeing that no one was staring in him and Paola's direction.
Pouting his lips with his arms wrapped around his chest, and with a frown on his face, he said, "Do you plan on killing me before we fulfill our goals?".
"Tsk. I didn't lie down on your body on purpose, Foxy. Everything is your fault. If only you had just taken the form of a normal animal, you would not have to remain invisible most of the time, and I would have seen you and not lie on your body". Paola pouted her lips too and raised her eyebrows as she said this to Foxy.
"Hmph!".
"Hmph!".
They both turned away from each other with their hands wrapped around their chests. A few seconds later, they stared at each other's faces and burst out laughing.
"I am glad that you are aware that what we just did was immature".
"I should be the one saying that line. After all, I am countless years older than you". Foxy replied to Paola, and when he heard noises of footsteps approaching in their direction, he instantly turned invisible.
Paola stopped looking at the invisible Foxy. She turned to her front and two figures appeared in front of her in no time.
When she looked up and saw their faces, she couldn't believe her eyes.
