Chapter 353 - Chapter 0349: Pounced

"Flower girl?"

Hearing the term, Yi Tianxing couldn't help but show a trace of surprise on his face as he looked in the direction where Green Emperor had pounced.

Sure enough, he saw a middle-aged man dressed in black, cradling a colorful brocade pheasant in his arms and holding a spotted dog by a leash. The man wore an expression of sheer terror as he looked at the figure of Green Emperor charging at him, screaming in fright, "Don't come any closer! I'm not a flower girl!"

Green Emperor's body was enormous. After multiple transformations, he was now as large as a wolfhound. His pounce carried an imposing momentum, looking downright terrifying. Just his presence was enough to make one's hair stand on end.

It was as if a ferocious beast had opened its bloody maw.

Who wouldn't be scared?

Especially since this dog could talk—and was loudly shouting about some flower girl!

Good heavens, he was a real man, through and through. Since when had he become a flower girl?

If he were really pounced on by this dog, the middle-aged man felt he'd never be able to show his face in public again. With a desperate scream, he turned and darted into the crowd without hesitation. His speed was nothing to scoff at—fast and slippery as an eel, the crowd posed no hindrance at all.

"Flower girl! Don't run! Fight me till dawn!!"

Green Emperor roared wildly as he gave chase.

"Stop chasing me! I'm not a flower girl! I'm a man!"The man's face turned dark, his heart pounding like mad as though it would leap out of his chest. His soul felt like it was about to escape his body, and his feet moved even faster.

The townsfolk watched the scene unfold with jaws hanging open, dumbfounded.

They all knew Green Emperor, Yi Tianxing's battle pet. He was a chatterbox—once he started talking, he wouldn't stop. His voice was piercingly shrill and hard to bear. In town, he was practically a walking disaster—people would avoid him like the plague. Now, here he was chasing a middle-aged man and calling him "flower girl."

This scene—no matter how you looked at it—just felt deeply wrong.

"What's wrong with Green Emperor? Has he gone mad? Why is he chasing a man and calling him flower girl?"

"He's probably in heat. Green Emperor must have entered a heat cycle, his eyes are all green. Quick, stay away! If he targets you, you'll lose all your dignity. That'll be the end of you."

"No way, could it be the town chief's earlier kick scrambled Green Emperor's brain? Now he can't tell people apart and is hallucinating?"

Seeing this, everyone instinctively scattered to either side, terrified that if they hesitated even a moment, they'd be the next target.

Green Emperor charged like the wind, eyes glowing, green fur bristling along his four legs as though in full battle mode, launching a determined offensive.

The middle-aged man raced away, cursing his bad luck. How had things come to this?

He was innocent!

He had just arrived in Xuanhuang Town, hadn't even had time to register his household before being chased by a mad dog. This was a disaster from the heavens.

He was fast, but Green Emperor was faster.

In a blink, Green Emperor was right behind him. With a mighty leap and a fierce howl:"Flower girl, let this emperor dote on you properly!"

Feeling the oppressive presence behind him, the middle-aged man let out a wail that pierced the skies:"Nooo! I'm a man! Not a flower girl!!"His voice trembled with the helplessness of a maiden about to be violated—it stirred pity in all who heard it.

The surrounding townsfolk couldn't help but feel sympathy for him.

"Ahhh!"

The man cried out in despair as he felt a rush of wind close in from behind. But after the scream, he realized... nothing had happened to him.

Instead, a different kind of wail reached his ears.

He looked to his side—and his face immediately darkened.

There, on the back of the spotted dog he had been leading, the strange, green-haired hound had pounced. Full of excitement, Green Emperor's lower body kept moving rhythmically, his hips rising and falling while the spotted dog whimpered pitifully.

The spotted dog had been pounced on.

"The flower girl… was this spotted dog all along. Little Flower got pounced."

The man rubbed his eyes hard, hoping it was just an illusion. But the horrifying scene persisted. Terror crept onto his face.

"Oh no... If the Old Ancestor finds out his Little Flower was mounted by a mutt like that, I'm done for."

He trembled.

He knew very well who the owner of that grave was, and what treasure he had stolen. That dog was the Huainan King's beloved pet. Even in death, it was buried in a Seven-Star Coffin—a burial fit for immortals.

If Huainan King learned that Little Flower had been defiled by a green-furred freak, the man was certain he'd be thrown into the wilds to be devoured by beasts.

"Too terrifying. I absolutely can't let the Old Ancestor know—or I'm dead!"

Liu Qu shook his head and resolved then and there:Even if it kills me, the Huainan King must never learn of this!

"In heat... in public no less..."

Yi Tianxing watched this scene unfold, and his face immediately turned black. He could almost hear a flock of crows flying overhead.

Green Emperor had done something so shameless in broad daylight!

As his master, Yi Tianxing felt utterly humiliated.

"Get back here!!"

With a thought, a black-and-white iron chain appeared in the air, wrapping itself around Green Emperor's neck and yanking him into the sky. The hound was flung straight back into the mansion.

"Nooo! My flower girl!!"

Green Emperor howled mournfully, his four paws flailing in the air.The sound was enough to break hearts and bring tears to eyes.

The spotted dog, tail between its legs, looked utterly miserable. It still didn't understand what had just happened. Its eyes glistened with tears.

"Ahhh—!"

Liu Qu stared at Green Emperor's disappearing form, mouth agape in shock.

But then—splat!

A strange liquid fell from above, landing directly into his mouth. Reflexively, he licked his lips.

Then he saw Green Emperor flying through the air… and the thing fluttering between his legs.

His face turned green, then black.

"Blaaargh!!"

Stomach churning, Liu Qu retched with such intensity it seemed like his guts were about to spill out. Everything in his belly came up in one horrifying surge.

A gruesome sight to behold.

"I've utterly lost face this time…"

Yi Tianxing twitched at the corner of his mouth. He had already made up his mind:Once they got back, Green Emperor was going to be severely punished.

"If you must chase a flower girl, at least find a secluded place! But to do something like that in public—truly a stupid dog!"He snorted coldly, shooting a harsh glare toward the mansion where Green Emperor had been flung.

Amidst these absurdities, more and more citizens were stepping out of the spatial gate.

The previously empty plaza gradually filled with people. As the saying goes, once you pass ten thousand people, it's like a mountain or a sea.

Before long, fifty to sixty thousand people had arrived.

Soon after, soldiers clad in armor began emerging from the portal in formation. One stretcher was carried out—on it lay a woman.

At a glance, she radiated a rare and commanding heroic aura, even in unconsciousness. Combined with her stunning beauty—though slightly less than Cai Yan—her bearing made her shine in a way that rivaled any woman.

But at that moment, she was pale, unconscious on the stretcher—evoking deep sympathy.

Behind her, Jia Xu, clad in black robes, calmly stepped out of the portal.

No more citizens followed behind him.

"Lord, Jia Xu did not fail you. From Mu Village, 63,275 people have been brought safely here."Jia Xu walked up to Yi Tianxing, smiling with calm confidence.

This was his debut gift—successfully persuading such a vast group to join them. The credit would solidify his position in Xuanhuang Town.

"Master Wenhe, you've worked hard. Convincing Chief Mu and bringing so many people to Xuanhuang is a great achievement. No one can deny your merit."

Yi Tianxing respectfully bowed.

"In recognition of this merit, from this day forward, you shall be Chief Military Advisor of Xuanhuang Town."

In chaotic times, acquiring a large population was priceless. As long as the power to protect them existed, people were the most crucial resource.

Each one was precious.

This salute was given sincerely—and without hesitation, he fulfilled his previous promise.

"Congratulations, Brother Wenhe. From now on, we'll be working together to build Xuanhuang. I'm not much for strategy, but now that you're here, the Lord is truly like a tiger with wings!"

Huang Chengyan approached with a smile and cupped his hands.

He knew exactly who Jia Xu was.

Though technically Jia Xu was born later than him in history, this was the Eternal Continent—all was reborn. Seniority no longer mattered.

"Brother Chengyan flatters me. With your guidance, Xuanhuang is already thriving. I hope we can support each other going forward and turn this town into a sanctuary for the human race."

Jia Xu replied warmly, his demeanor like a gentle spring breeze.

He was easy to like.

"Perfect timing, Elder Huang," Yi Tianxing nodded. "These citizens need proper care. Feed them, register them, and distribute their Tianji Cards. Follow the established protocols."

"And tonight, summon all heads of the One Gate, Two Courts, and Six Halls to the council chamber. We'll formally introduce our new Chief Advisor, and resume discussions on the military reform plan."
