These weren't the only improvements that Kaiji had gained in these last two months.
He was able to properly learn to use Genjutsu up to D-rank, something he wasn't able to do during his Academy time.
Meditation really helped him improve his mental strength.
He had also practiced with Hiroshi as a training partner to try out some Genjutsu techniques and check how much he had improved.
He had learned Genjutsu: Hell Viewing Technique, Genjutsu: False Surrounding, Genjutsu: Phantom Pain, and Genjutsu: Dancing Dust Motes.
Even in his some free time, he had practiced Bukijutsu some more.
Though, with all his current plans going on, he had less time to focus on other stuffs.
His Kenjutsu training was also going well with practice of Basics of Kenjutsu.
Currently, today at the morning, Kaiji was having his morning meal with Hiroshi and Ren.
Ren had also done his first mission a few days ago with his team.
...
While they were having their morning meal, on the other side of the Kazekage's Building, in the meeting room.
On the front of the desk sat Satei, the Third Kazekage.
On his left side sat two figures.
One appeared to be a middle-aged woman wearing a standard Kimono and a belt around her dress in Kimono style.
She had light hair with some grey shades, tied in a bun.
She had black eyes that were currently filled with some rage.
She was an elder of the village and the grandmother of Sasori, Chiyo.
Besides her sat another middle-aged figure.
He had dark hair with some white strands and slightly long eyebrows.
He wore traditional Sunagakure outfit, which consisted of dark colored robes.
He was the brother of Chiyo and also an Elder of the village, Ebizo.
"Sigh, Elder Chiyo," Satei said, sighing upon seeing Chiyo's anger-filled eyes.
"You didn't need to get angry every time matter involves Konoha."
The matter was indeed involving Konoha.
Konoha had sent a team on a mission into Sunagakure territory.
Though Sunagakure didn't bother much on such matters usually, but things were not simple this time.
And Chiyo had a strong personal hate for Konoha, especially for the White Fang, Sakumo Hatake, who was already dead.
Even though the subject matter was sensitive, the atmosphere of the room was quite neutral, not overtly tense, aside from Chiyo's visible anger.
The problem was not simply that Konoha sent a team for a mission in Sunagakure territory, but the place of the mission was the issue.
A team consisting of three Jonin and one Genin was sent on a mission to Loran City.
Loran City was quite prosperous within the Land of Wind.
Sunagakure had sent their Anbu squads many times to gain any kind of information from there.
They wanted information regarding an unusual energy source which they had detected many times.
They had kept their eye on it.
Though they didn't know what exactly it was, its potent energy alone was tempting enough for Sunagakure to want information about it.
But the village had yet to gain any significant and useful information from Loran City.
This was especially true for the last few years, where every Anbu sent was caught and thrown out of the city, and even those who weren't caught still couldn't gain any useful information.
Though it was obvious that the ruler of Loran wouldn't kill the Ninjas of Sunagakure, as they definitely didn't want to make an enemy out of them, simply throwing them out and not giving permission to enter was still not ideal for Sunagakure.
And now Konoha had suddenly sent a team to Loran City for a mission.
More importantly, the mission was not only in Loran City but also related to Loran City somehow.
This led the Village leader and elders to have this meeting, as they suspected that Konoha might also have their eye on that unusual energy source.
"We shouldn't have let those Leaf Ninjas enter in our nation to begin with...!"
Chiyo exclaimed, her voice sharp with displeasure at the initial decision.
Ebizo tried to calm his sister down. "Sister Chiyo, please calm down," he said gently.
"We need to discuss about the matter at hand now those ninjas are already enter the village and sooner will reach Loran City."
"Correct," Satei confirmed. He added information he had received.
"And from the information I have, those Leaf Ninjas are here to neutralize and capture a rogue ninja."
However, he admitted, "Though who it is, I have no information regarding it."
"So we have no knowledge what they are actually here for?"
Satei shook his head in response to Ebizo's question.
Chiyo offered a suggestion. "If we can't bother with them directly," she said.
"Then we can send a team that will keep eye on those Leaf Ninjas."
She added, "And we might also gain some useful information this time from Loran and about that unusual Chakra that we have detected from there."
Upon hearing this, both Ebizo and Satei nodded; the idea had merit.
The Kazekage voiced a concern about who to send. "But who do we send to keep eye on Konoha's Team and their activities"
He wondered aloud, "Since sending Anbu can be risky if those Ninjas detect them...!"
"Yes," Ebizo agreed about the risk of sending Anbu.
"They might take out actions in rude way, and the situations currently all great nations have is already bad.
War might be arupt any time soon and doing anything to those Leaf Ninjas might enrage Konoha."
"Hmph~!" Chiyo snorted, a sound of disdain.
"Then how about sending some Genin teams from Genin Corps," she proposed.
"Even if they find them following, things wouldn't be any bad."
Satei shook his head, dismissing that idea. "Sending only Genins wouldn't be enough," he countered.
"They wouldn't be able to complete the assignment properly."
Ebizo suggested, "Then we atleast have to send atleast a Jonin or atleast two Chunin with them," he said.
They continued their meeting for some time, discussing the options.
After all these discussions, they finally decided who to send for this B-rank Observation mission to Loran City.
The team they had selected consisted of One Jonin and One Team of Genins from the Genin Corps Department.
The Jonin they selected was Pakura. Satei calls her over and tells her about mission details.
Pakura listened, agreed to take the mission, and then made her own request.
"Kazekage-sama," she said, "I want my team to also participate in this mission."
Satei considered her request. "Well, it's upto you," he replied, leaving the decision to her judgment.
"If you think your Students are ready for this mission, then go ahead.
This mission is actually a C-rank because no combat might involve, however, the ninjas you need to observe plus information gathering about Loran City make this mission difficult."
He also mentioned the composition of the Genin team joining.
"And the team of Genin that are joining this mission are two newly graduated Genin, three are senior members and it would be better if you start mission now."
Pakura nodded and knelt before the Kazekage.
Swish!
With a swift, She vanished, accepting the mission and its terms.
