Elder Duckling noticed the sadness and disappointment in Odette's eyes. For some reason, Odette was overly curious and thirsty to know of the Masked Alpha's name, even though it wouldn't change anything between them even if she knew.
Unfortunately, she really couldn't tell Odette her son's name, as it would only kill her and everyone in the kingdom.
Thus, Elder Duckling tried to shift the topic, 'Odette, do you want to know the true legend of the Swan and Wolf?'
"Um. I want to know," Odette nodded. "The statue looked abandoned; covered with vines and thorns when I first saw it. But the fact that His Majesty kept it intact inside the royal garden means that he must've loved his parents so much. So, I want to know what caused him to destroy the statue of swan and wolf."
