"You need more rest," the Masked Alpha said, making it obvious that he simply didn't want to mark her and breed her even though it was his responsibility as the male.
Odile noticed his strange behavior immediately. She couldn't accept that she didn't become the queen immediately, so she turned around and exclaimed, "But I am very healthy! I've had enough rest!"
The Masked Alpha didn't want to talk with her anymore. He was still trying to process the cold, hard truth that Odette wasn't his mate, and this random woman that he didn't like was his mate's incarnation.
"I'll be in the royal garden. Go and tell Rori if you need anything," the Masked Alpha said before he turned around and left immediately.
"W-wait, Your Majesty!" Odile called out as she stared at the broad back of the Masked Alpha. She was severely disappointed when he simply left without even kissing her. "What is wrong with him? Why didn't he mark me immediately if I am his mate?!"
