**Chapter 180: Garp Appointed as Marine Admiral!**
Just as the Army Headquarters was in full swing with its conquest of the No.0001 Kabaneri World, the Marine Headquarters back on the Sea Star Mainland was also facing various high-level changes following the conclusion of the Supreme Military Command meeting.
But for now, there were no immediate changes.
Kong was still the Fleet Admiral, and Sengoku was still a Marine Admiral. Reform and handover were not things that could be completed quickly.
The Port outside Marineford used to be lined with rows of large Warships, but now there were only a few.
The truth was, there had been too many Missions requiring Marines escorts recently. The Warships from the G-Branches alone were simply not enough, so Warships from Headquarters had to be dispatched to help, causing the atmosphere on the Island to feel quite deserted these past few days.
It was under these circumstances that two Warships slowly arrived, one after the other.
"I don't know why, but I just feel like the Era is changing too fast. I can actually see so many Fish-men in this place, and they're all wearing Marine Uniforms!"
Garp, accompanied by Dragon and Rear Admiral Bogard behind him, strode towards the Fortress of Justice while looking at the Fish-men walking around casually, sighing with emotion.
"Indeed. Sabaody Archipelago has now truly become a Fish-Man Safety Zone. Human and Fish-man Children run around the streets in groups. Occasionally, you even see Children from the Longarm Tribe and Longleg Tribe. No matter how many times I see that Screen Feed, it feels incredible," Dragon echoed with a relaxed Smile on his face.
It was quite magical. He, who had originally detested the World Government, now felt a sense of appreciation and anticipation. He looked forward to the World Government becoming better and better, making the World a better place.
The three of them walked quickly. Before long, they arrived outside the Meeting Room inside the Fortress. Bogart could not follow them in from here.
His Military Rank was not high enough.
However, Bogart didn't mind and casually found a Sofa to sit on.
"Huh? Just you, Fleet Admiral?"
Garp looked at Kong, who was sitting alone behind the Meeting Table, and asked in confusion.
He had thought Sengoku and Tsuru would also be present. He then plopped down onto a chair, picked his nose, and grumbled, "If that's the case, why didn't we just go to your Office? Why come to such a big room?"
Dragon, on the other hand, said little, silently sitting down on the chair opposite Garp. There was nothing he could do; having been beaten too much since childhood, he subconsciously didn't want to sit next to this man.
"This is..."
Dragon saw a thick stack of Data/Files placed on the table.
"You two read those written materials first, otherwise it's too troublesome to explain," Kong said, now fully understanding Saint Jaygarcia Saturn's feelings at the time.
Without these written materials, just explaining what Star Gates were and why the Reform was happening would take a lot of effort. Hearing this, Garp and Dragon said no more and picked up the Documents to read.
"Hmm?"
"Hmm!"
A few minutes later, Garp's eyes widened, and Dragon's Expression changed drastically. Their gazes were fixed on every word on the Documents, and they subconsciously slowed down their page-turning Speed.
For a moment, the only sounds in the large Meeting Room were their page-turning and gasps.
Sitting in the main seat, Kong watched their changing Expressions with a Smile. He knew that when they had first seen these Data/Files in Mary Geoise, they had reacted much the same way.
"Hoo——"
"Hoo——"
As expected of father and son, Garp and Dragon exhaled long breaths almost simultaneously. They had finally finished reading all the Documents, but they still needed some Time to digest the information.
Ten minutes later, Kong saw they were ready and smiled, "Regarding the Star Gates and Other Worlds, I think you've pretty much understood, right?"
"Are there Experts in those other Worlds?" Garp looked up, his gaze burning. He could feel the Blood in his body getting excited.
"Yes, but as the Data/Files state, in the No.0001 Kabaneri World, no high-level Combat Power has been discovered yet. But this doesn't mean there won't be any in other Worlds in the future."
Kong looked at Garp with a serious gaze and said, "In fact, it's possible that there are Combat Power that are even stronger than our high-level, or even Top Tier Combatant, Combat Power here!"
"Hahahaha, isn't that a good thing?"
Garp laughed excitedly. In his own opinion, his Strength had reached a point where he couldn't improve further. If there were indeed opponents stronger than him in other Worlds, it meant he had a chance to become even Stronger.
"What if it's an opponent you absolutely cannot resist, or even one that all of us together cannot resist? Do you still think that's a good thing, Garp!" Kong shouted loudly.
"Ah, this..."
Garp was stunned. Then he stroked his chin and said, "All of us together aren't a match? The 'us' you're referring to doesn't sound like it's limited to just the Marines. Could it be that you mean including 'Whitebeard' and that bunch of Pirates?"
"That's right."
"Me, Sengoku, Zephyr, and 'Whitebeard' together still aren't a match for such an existence... That's truly something to look forward to!"
Garp grinned, causing Dragon opposite him to get a black line across his face, and Kong's forehead to bulge with veins, his fists clenching with grinding sounds.
"Be serious, you Bastard!!"
A huge roar echoed from inside the Meeting Room, causing Rear Admiral Bogart, who was enjoying his Coffee, to pause.
Inside the Meeting Room.
Dragon ignored the two big shots arguing and thought about his own Matter in his Heart, because he had already understood the fundamental reason behind the World Government's many major changes recently!
The existence of Star Gates can connect to other Worlds. This means the World Government can no longer think only about maintaining the Influence/Power balance of the Home World as before.
They need to mobilize the Strength of all aspects of the entire World to help the World Government conquer and develop the increasing number of new Worlds they will face in the future.
That's why they took drastic measures to deal with issues like the Slave Trade, Heavenly Tribute, Pirates, and Racial Conflicts, which could cause problems in their backyard. Because for the current World Government,
The Planet Sea World is no longer just a ranch to be guarded, but has become the Headquarters for conquering the Multiverse. Since it is the Headquarters, the most important thing is Stability!
From this perspective, the lives of the Citizens of various countries will definitely become better with the influx of Resources from various Worlds. But at the same time, they must also bear the risk of being counter-attacked by powerful Civilizations along with the World Government!
The people of the entire Planet Sea have been forcibly tied by the World Government to this Warship that is gradually accelerating with no final destination!
As for closing the Star Gates and pretending it never happened, while theoretically an option, it is in fact absolutely impossible.
The Resources of a second habitable Planet, their Temptation is absolutely fatal to the World Government, and to the World itself. Not to mention that it has already been confirmed that there is more than one new World, and there will be more later.
"Alright!"
Kong waved his hand, telling Garp to shut up quickly, and pushed one of the two Documents on the table in front of him towards the latter.
"This is your new position appointment after the Reform. Congratulations, you're finally an Admiral!"
"What?"
Garp stood up abruptly, knocking the chair behind him to the ground. He quickly picked up the Letter of Appointment and looked closely—it was true!
"Impossible!"
"You want me to be an Admiral to wipe the asses of those pieces of trash? Don't even think about it!"
