Students from all over the district gathered at the high school for the entrance examination. Their eyes carried a mix of nervousness and excitement, but the protagonist remained unnervingly calm. The protagonist, however, wrote only what he knew, finishing the exam within an hour and a half. Another hour remained, but the only thing he could hear was the vast, suffocating silence of the hall.

A soft, rhythmic jingling and delicate chime of anklet beads, followed by a voice so sweet and tender, unlike anything he had ever heard. He turned around, and for a second, the world around him ceased to exist.
A girl stood there in a gleaming blue gown, her earrings shimmering in the light, a pair of gray-cut shoes completing her graceful presence. She was speaking to the invigilator, clarifying her doubts with a voice so mesmerizing that it sent a strange feeling through him.
For the first time, he found himself stunned. He couldn't stop looking at her.
Then, almost as if trying to shake himself free, he muttered, "Oh, okay. She's cute, but not that special."
He turned away, forcing himself to forget. The bell rang, signaling the end of the exam. He submitted his paper and went home, thinking nothing of it.
