"Cough," Alex Hawk cleared his throat, "Not at all. Since you're going home tonight, I won't disturb you. I'll be heading back."
Brandan rolled his eyes toward the ceiling, ignoring him.
This guy barges into his office during broad daylight for some fun, who knows what's on his mind.
Brandan sat alone in his office, twirling a pen in his hand, his brow slightly furrowed and a bit upset thinking that, if he went home tonight, he'd have to see Iris Harris, right?

Brandan drove slowly back home, where Lady Hyde was pruning her roses in the garden, and upon hearing the servant's report that Brandan had returned, she merely responded with a soft "Mm".
After finishing the pruning, Lady Hyde handed the shears to a servant, washed her hands, and slowly made her way to the hall.
