Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Tit for Tat (1)

Thinking of this, she couldn't help but pause her steps.

In the garden, a servant was walking towards the man. She wanted to take a closer look, but then a sweet and charming voice reached her, "Miss Ginger?"

Mia Ginger snapped back to her senses, raised her eyes, and said with a smile, "Here I am."

She lifted her steps towards the hall.

Out of the corner of her eye, the man reading the book straightened up, his figure tall and slender, his profile as elegant as a painting. He casually put down the book and seemed to be coming in her direction.

Mia knew she probably hadn't guessed wrong.

Slightly pursing her lips, she walked faster toward the living room, hearing distant cordial exchanges.

Besides Old Master Jackson, whom she had seen earlier, there were two other people on the living room sofa.

The man was wearing a dark striped shirt with a solid color tie. His black hair was meticulously combed, his demeanor was refined, and his face was upright.

He looked about fifty years old, and sitting upright, he exuded a certain authority from years of being in a high position.

Old Master Jackson had two sons and a daughter. Koa Jackson's father, Zane Jackson, was the youngest among the Jackson Clan siblings. He was in business and founded the Global Sphere Group, which was involved in real estate, entertainment, dining, film, and several other industries.

Koa Jackson's mother was his first wife, who passed away in a car accident early on.

The woman sitting beside him on the sofa was naturally his second wife, a renowned singer in the music world, Lydia Williams.

Lydia Williams was in her forties. After marrying, she bore a daughter and a son. Her daughter Marianne Jackson was two years younger than her, excelled academically, and had already been admitted to Cloud Capital University.

At the Ginger Family, Zuri frequently mentioned Marianne, mainly because they were in the same year.

Marianne Jackson could easily render her insignificant.

Thinking of this, Mia Ginger silently laughed in her heart, then looked up and met Lydia Williams's scrutinizing gaze. Before she could react, Lydia had already laughed heartily.

"This must be Mia Ginger. Truly beautiful, your looks could overshadow your cousin Zuri Ginger," Lydia said, glancing at Charlotte Chester as she warmly approached.

With one sentence, Lydia openly praised Mia Ginger while subtly complimenting Zuri Ginger, pleasing everyone.

Clearly, she was a person skilled at maneuvering social situations.

Mia Ginger was caught off guard as Lydia grasped her hand. As Charlotte Chester stood, she quickly said, "This is your Aunt Jackson."

"Hello, Uncle and Aunt," Mia Ginger greeted with a smile.

"Your fingers are so cool in the middle of summer," Lydia Williams said affectionately, turning her head towards Old Master Jackson with even more fondness, "This child really tugs at the heartstrings."

"When she was a child, she fit into the crook of my arm like a kitten," Old Master Jackson said approvingly, looking at Mia Ginger with a smile.

From the corner of her eye, she saw someone approaching slowly.

Old Master Jackson's eyes gleamed with even more warmth, "Koa is here."

"Grandpa," Koa Jackson stepped forward to support the standing Old Master, calling out "Dad, Mom," and then turned to Aiden Jiang and Charlotte Chester, "Uncle Ginger, Aunt."

Old Master Ginger and Old Master Jackson were comrades-in-arms, with Old Master Ginger having saved Old Master Jackson's life. Before his death, he entrusted his wife and children to the care of Old Master Jackson, and consequently, Old Master Jackson and the Ginger Family matriarch arranged a marriage.

This engagement was originally for Aiden Jiang and Koa Jackson's aunt, Daniella Jackson. However, Daniella had studied abroad in her youth, fell in love with a photographer from M Country, which angered Old Master Jackson, and she chose to settle in M Country.

This matter caused Old Master Jackson to feel guilty, and when Aiden Jiang later had a daughter, another engagement was made, leaving Little Mia Ginger for his beloved grandson, Koa Jackson.

At that time, Koa Jackson was already eight years old, his biological mother was still alive, and he was lively and energetic. He admired and respected Old Master Jackson, and after meeting Little Mia Ginger, he developed a fondness for her. When he heard Old Master Jackson mention having Little Mia Ginger as his future wife, he nodded earnestly, wholeheartedly agreeing.
