Han Xi turned around to leave, but a clear yet weak voice stopped her from behind: "Doctor Han, thank you for today. If there's anything you need in the future, you can always contact me."
After all, she was his lifesaver, and Lu Jinghan wanted to express his gratitude personally.
Han Xi turned slightly, placing the stethoscope in the pocket of her white coat, her lips curving into a faint smile: "The supplements from Mr. Lu are already enough, take care and recover well."
She glanced at the business card in Lu Jinghan's hand, didn't take it, and pushed the door open to leave the ward.
After the door closed, Fu Bin looked at Lu Jinghan with a teasing smile: "Oh ho, actively giving your card to that girl, could it be that you're really thinking of repaying her with your body?"
"Am I that casual?"
Before Fu Bin could say anything, the ward door was pushed open again, and a tall man in a sharp suit strode in.
Lu Jinghan lowered his hand which was suspended in the air, placed the card beneath his pillow, and then raised his eyes to inquire: "How's the investigation on your side?"
With aura of hostility, Feng Yi sat on the sofa, his deep voice resonating through the ward: "The car didn't have a license plate, and the driver is already dead. We've checked the phone records, and there's absolutely no clue."
Knowing well that it was Lu Qing An, that bastard uncle of Lu Jinghan, who orchestrated this, yet there's no evidence to be found, it's really infuriating as hell.
Today's car accident was certainly not an accident; all accidents are intentionally orchestrated by someone.
"This Lu Qing An is truly unrelenting. Usually, he just causes some trouble for me in the company, but now he's audacious enough to try to put me to death. If I don't give him a taste of his own medicine, he'll really think he's invincible."
Looking out at the night sky, Lu Jinghan's deep eyes filled with a piercing coldness, spoke again after a few seconds: "Check out what his useless children have been up to recently, teach them a lesson or else they'll really think I'm easy to bully."
"No problem." Feng Yi nodded at him with a mischievous grin, a glimmer of interest in his eyes.
Fu Bin silently mourned for Lu Qing An's pair of children in his heart, since it's their father who keeps trying to kill people.
If you want to blame someone, blame yourself for being born into the wrong family.
Lu Jinghan shifted his body slightly, the wound on his abdomen tugging painfully, causing his brows to furrow: "Help me arrange to change wards, I'm not used to sharing a room with others."
Fu Bin conducted himself with a hypocritical smile: "The old man instructed before leaving, that you shouldn't change wards. Why not just follow the old man's wishes and repay by devoting yourself?"
Lu Jinghan's face turned dark in an instant, his tone tinged with fury: "I'm hospitalized, of course, I'll listen to myself. Hurry up and find the doctor to change my ward."
Feng Yi looked bewildered at the two of them, he had only been gone for a day. Did he miss some sort of big drama?
"Devoting with one's body? This guy wouldn't actually have.... a woman, would he?"
After saying this, Feng Yi found it funny and snorted, how could Lu Jinghan possibly have a woman? Forgive him for his momentary slip of the tongue that resulted in a joke.
Fu Bin, with legs crossed leisurely, replied unhurriedly: "Today, this guy nearly died from excessive blood loss, luckily a female doctor gave him a blood transfusion. Then the old man immediately suggested he repays with his body, but that doctor is exceptionally beautiful, with a great figure."
"Fu Bin, are you looking for death, huh?" Lu Jinghan glared over with cold eyes.
