Every night after coming home, Lin Wan started fiddling with her beer. All she knew was that malt beer required barley to germinate.
Lin Wan washed the wheat several times with clear water, then soaked it in a basin for a few days. After draining the water and waiting for it to sprout, she removed the small roots after a few days. Once the roots were removed, it could be used for brewing beer.
After grinding the malt into powder, she put it in a thermos, added water for gelatinization, and a few days later inserted a tube into the bottom of the thermos. The cloudy malt juice was poured back into the thermos repeatedly filtered. Lin Wan filtered it five times to clarify the malt juice. Then she boiled the malt juice and added hops after boiling. After turning off the heat, Lin Wan quickly placed the pot in prepared cold water. Once cooled, she added dissolved yeast, then placed it into a stainless steel cylinder for fermentation. Fermentation needed at least a month.
