Rong Zhi had a rough idea, she released her hand and scanned the office until she found the electric kettle. She walked over to get some warm water from the water dispenser, then put it on to boil. From her pocket, she pulled out a lollipop, unwrapped it, and tossed it in.
An indescribable smell began to spread through the office.
Rong Zhi stared expressionlessly at the kettle.
Thankfully, it was lunchtime and all the teachers in the office had gone to eat or go home. Otherwise, they would have surely kicked Rong Zhi out.
It was simply too awful.
So awful that Old Li, whose sore throat was at its worst, forgot to cough.
Smelling the stench in the air, the pain in his throat miraculously lessened significantly.
The kettle boiled three times in total before the smell became almost tangible. Only then did Rong Zhi keep track of the time and turn it off.
She carried the kettle over and softly asked, "Mr. Li, where are the disposable cups?"
