Chapter 149 - Chapter 149 Fantastic Twins and Spider

Chapter 149 Fantastic Twins and Spider

Putting down his Backpack, Yang Le raised his hands and slowly backed away, trying to appear as harmless as possible. However, a Crystal strong man standing around two meters tall didn't exactly scream "friendly," no matter how you looked at it.

Moreover, Yang Le was currently covered in Fresh Blood and various human organs from his recent rampage. A normal Child would likely have fainted from fright long ago.

However, it was clear that the two Children in the Bushes were not normal. Not only were they not panic-stricken, they were even talking to each other.

"What should we do, Franklin?" the Girl who looked older Inquired, asking the boy beside her.

"I think we should leave, Valeria," Franklin said, looking at the Girl beside him.

"No matter who he is, we don't know him. We can't risk interacting with him."

"But he's already spotted us," Valeria pointed towards Yang Le in the distance.

"If he wanted to attack us, wouldn't he have already made a move?"

"Maybe it's because he knows us," Franklin speculated.

"Maybe he's afraid of my Ability, and that's why he hasn't dared to approach us rashly."

"Impossible, Franklin," Valeria refuted her brother's speculation.

"Your Ability vanished years ago. Not only that, but you haven't grown taller in years."

"What if he doesn't know?" Franklin hurriedly protested.

Just as Valeria said, since the Zombie Crisis broke out, he had not only lost his Ability, but his height hadn't changed in years. Now Valeria was already taller than him, by about a head.

Ability vanished, height overwhelmed, and in terms of intelligence, he couldn't even compare to his genius sister. This made him feel like he was losing his brotherly Majesty.

"Give me a break, Franklin," Valeria rolled her eyes at her brother.

"Instead of guessing wildly here, we should just interact with him. Do you know where Nana is?"

"She's in the Blood Nest not far from here," Franklin said, glancing at the Locator on his wrist.

"Are you serious? Uncle Peter will kill us if he finds out."

"We're already going to get a scolding for running off on our own," Valeria said, gripping a strangely shaped Gun in her hand.

"Instead of worrying about that, you should call Nana over first, and then think about how to deal with him. What if he knows something about the Zombie Inside Story?"

With that, she stood up and walked towards Yang Le. Of course, judging by her white-knuckled grip on the Gun Handle, her Inner Heart was not as Peaceful as she appeared.

"Hey! Wait up!" Franklin hurriedly stood up, wanting to pull his sister back. But obviously, his short legs couldn't keep pace with Valeria's long strides. Helplessly, he could only follow.

Valeria quickly reached the Backpack filled with Grain. She stopped in her Footsteps, but instead of picking up the Backpack on the Ground, she shouted at Yang Le.

"Hey! What's your Name?"

"Yang Le," Yang Le replied. He didn't mind others knowing his Name, so he answered without hesitation.

"Yang Le?" Valeria repeated softly, the Name sounding foreign to her.

"Are you Chinese?"

"Why? Do I not look like it?" Yang Le tilted his head, the friction of Crystal against Crystal making a creaking sound.

"What do you think?" Valeria looked at Yang Le's crystal body and frowned, reminded of Emma Frost, the White Queen.

"Are you a Mutant?" Franklin Inquired.

"You could say that," Yang Le nodded.

Although he didn't mind revealing his Name, Yang Le felt it was still necessary to keep his Ability a secret. After all, a certain Character, rumored to have an exceptionally high IQ, had once exposed his teammate's Ability, leading to the teammate being targeted and instantly killed before even making a single move.

"Enough about me. What about you two? Who are you?"

"My Name is..." Valeria started to say, intending to make up a Name, when a familiar shout echoed from the Jungle in the distance.

"Franklin! Valeria!"

Valeria's face fell. Great, betrayed by her own teammate.

Yang Le's expression didn't change when he heard the Sound from afar. The Sound was familiar not only to the Fantastic Twins, but to him as well. After all, he'd encountered many versions of the person who owned that Sound.

"Is that someone calling you?" Yang Le asked, looking at the two. The siblings had no choice but to nod in reluctant agreement.

This was unexpected for Yang Le. He hadn't thought he'd encounter Reed Richard's children here, the famous Characters in the Marvel Universe—the Fantastic Twins. And just moments ago, the Children had been internally complaining about their Father.

'But why is Franklin so short?' Yang Le frowned. Even if girls developed earlier, this was too exaggerated. Franklin looked four or five years younger than Valeria.

Soon, rustling sounds came from the Woods, and a Figure, weathered and disheveled but exceptionally familiar to Yang Le, emerged. It was none other than Spider-Man—Peter Parker.

"Little F, Little V!" Peter saw the Fantastic Twins and couldn't help but light up with joy. But it was only for a moment, because he then noticed Yang Le not far from the Twins.

As we mentioned before, a Crystal person covered in Organs really couldn't be called friendly. Peter, relying on his powerful Physical Ability, quickly reached the twins' side in a few strides, shielding them behind him. He held a Pipe in his hand, watching Yang Le warily.

"Who are you?" Peter demanded, not giving Yang Le a friendly Face. His expression was fierce. Seeing that expression on a Face so similar to his Friend's made Yang Le's Heart feel complicated.

"Yang Le, a Friend," Yang Le replied helplessly, introducing himself again. Come to think of it, how many times had he introduced himself to Peter Parker now?

"Friend? I don't remember knowing you," Peter said sternly.

"You don't know me, but I know you," Yang Le said, taking a Photo from his Flying Wheel. He coated it in Crystal and tossed it a meter or two in front of Peter.

Peter's eyes fell on the Photo. The content made him gasp in Surprise. There were three versions of himself, Aunt May, Mary Jane, and even Gwen Stacy, though she looked very young, about Valeria's age. There were also some people he didn't recognize.

This Photo was a Family Photo Yang Le had taken in the Ultimate Universe. He felt it was the best proof of his Identity.

"You're from another Universe," Valeria stated. Her Nickname, Miss Polymath, was well-deserved. She'd grasped Yang Le's meaning instantly.

"Indeed, Miss Polymath," Yang Le replied, canceling his Transformation. As long as it wasn't manually activated, the Omnitrix could easily be mistaken for a Mutant manifesting their Ability.

"Little V, how can you be so sure he's from another Universe?" Peter Inquired.
