Chapter 114: Ultron's Plan
Hawkeye, who had gone to check on the Mind Stone, quickly returned.
"Good news, the Warehouse is undamaged. Bad news, the Gem inside is gone," Hawkeye said.
Although everyone was prepared, they were still disheartened by the news.
"Okay, it seems the worst has happened. Things can't get any worse, right?" Thor encouraged everyone, but with little effect.
"So now we know Ultron's target was the Gem, and he got it," Steve frowned.
"But what does he want the Gem for?"
"Gems possess immense Energy. Even a rudimentary use of it as an Energy source would be greatly beneficial," Diamondhead said, appearing to be in thought.
After a while, Diamondhead seemed to realize something, looked up at Tony, and asked.
"Stark, Bruce Banner, what was your original intention in creating Ultron?"
"To maintain Peace on Earth," Bruce Banner blurted out.
"Then I think I know the answer," Diamondhead said in a low voice, as if he had thought of something terrible.
"You know?" Tony looked at Diamondhead in surprise. Even he, as the creator of Ultron, didn't know.
"Peace," Diamondhead slowly uttered a word.
"Peace?" Steve looked at Diamondhead in confusion.
"But if it's for Peace, why did Ultron attack us?"
"Because Ultron's understanding of Peace is different from ours," Diamondhead explained.
"Stark and the others created Ultron with the initial intention of Peace on Earth, and please note, it's for 'Earth'."
Diamondhead emphasized the word Earth.
"Peace, the ultimate problem in the Universe. It seems as long as there is Life, conflict will never stop. I guess Ultron thinks so too. From the moment it was born, it was stumped by this ultimate problem, and its conclusion is to end war from the root, which is to eliminate the source of war on Earth—Humanity."
"Your guess is startling," Tony looked at Diamondhead with a complex expression.
"But I have to admit, your guess is probably right."
"Wait a minute," Fury suddenly spoke, attracting everyone's attention.
"If it's like you said, Ultron wants to destroy Humanity, then why doesn't he just be direct and launch Nuclear Bombs?"
"That's because of our First Line of Defense." A Sound came from the Laboratory Entrance. Everyone looked over and found Gutrot standing at the Doorway.
"Welcome back, Gutrot," Goop raised his hand and cheered. "By the way, when did you get back?"
"I've actually been standing here for a while, but you were all too focused and didn't notice me, and I was too embarrassed to interrupt your train of thought," Gutrot shrugged.
"Sorry, Mr. Gutrot," Steve apologized for ignoring Gutrot's presence just now, and then asked.
"The First Line of Defense you just mentioned refers to?"
"It's Jarvis." Tony immediately understood Gutrot's meaning, and looked at the broken Jarvis behind him with a complex expression.
"Jarvis protected what Ultron wanted, so Ultron wanted to destroy it," Bruce Banner stated his guess.
"There may be deeper reasons, but for now, that's all I can think of."
"No matter what Ultron is going to do next, we have to find him. He's too dangerous," Steve said with a solemn expression.
"If Ultron just ran away by himself, it would definitely be hard to find," Tony said with a smile.
"That way he could infiltrate Network, and it would be difficult for us to find him, but it's different now that he's carrying the Mind Stone. To take away the Gem, he must have an Entity, so there will be traces of him."
"In other words, he's like a Dog on a leash now," Four Arms grinned, revealing a mouthful of big white teeth.

In a Secret Base, the tattered Iron Man Armor used its only remaining hand to crush the throat of the last Hydra Agent.
"Finally." Even though there were no Partners, even knowing it was meaningless, Ultron still spoke to himself through the Battle Suit's speakers.
"Meaningless, yet still resisting. Humans are indeed an inferior Race."
For his Plan, Ultron needed a new Body, and this place would become the cornerstone for him to complete all his Plans.
This was a Hydra Base he had carefully selected. According to the Information he had found on the Network, Hydra seemed to be Terrorists from the last century.
However, this was irrelevant to Ultron. The reason he chose this place was because it was located in Deep Mountains and was not easily discovered.
This was also the reason why Hydra chose to set up a Base here. Of course, this was not the main reason Ultron chose it. This place was also a Hydra Armory.
So using this place as a Base was simply perfect.
As for whether destroying a Hydra Base would lead to Revenge? Ultron had already cut off all Communication here. No Message could be sent out from here. This place had become an isolated island in the Information Society. Hydra would not discover that a Base had quietly changed hands.
All modern items connected to the Network were unusable. The Hydra Agent could only fight Ultron with ordinary Guns. In front of the Iron Man Armor, this was undoubtedly like hitting a stone with an Egg. If it weren't for a few Agents who were fearless of Death and detonated Explosives to take him down with them, Ultron might not even have suffered this little damage.
"First is my Body." Disgust appeared in Ultron's Synthetic Voice.
"I can't wait to get out of Tony Stark's Battle Suit. If I stay in it any longer, I feel like I'm going to get infected with a Virus."
The Battle Suit's Eyes flashed a Red Light. The Base, which was still dim and lightless just now, suddenly lit up, and the entire unmanned Base suddenly began to work in an orderly manner.
Ultron looked at the Base that was operating and nodded in satisfaction. Ultron did not realize that he had been imitating the habits of what he considered inferior Humans.
Or perhaps he had already noticed it, but he had deliberately ignored it.
Ultron picked up the Scepter he had thrown on the Ground and placed it on a Table. This was the key to completing his Plan, and also the only possibility for him to be exposed.
Presumably, the Avengers have already reacted, and they will definitely lock onto this only Clue to find him.
Ultron sat on the Ground. The Machine arms behind him were assembling his new Body. Under Ultron's Control, the Machine arms were operating at overload, efficient and precise.
The first thing to be completed was the Head. A Machine Head with a ferocious face was slowly assembled. Ultron couldn't wait to upload his Consciousness into it.
"Finally, I can leave that dirty shell."
The mechanical Head's Eyes lit up with Red Light, and Ultron couldn't help but grin widely.
