September 15, 1498, the day of the Levely. Three days remain until this momentous occasion, and the royal ships from nations across the four seas have already begun arriving near Mary Geoise.
Today is September 12.
This day is destined to be recorded in history, but not yet.
Just yesterday, the Biochemical Safety Station, jointly constructed by the Construction Division and the Biochemical Research Institute in the RL1556 region of the Red Line Continent, was officially completed.
Led by the sixteen-year-old genius scientist Caesar Clown, six biochemical researchers and six CP7 members responsible for security are now standing in the core area of the safety station, clad in slightly bulky bright yellow advanced hazmat suits.
On the shelves around them are various types of Den Den Mushi and professional air detection equipment. Further back is a silver-white electrically sealed gate.
Meanwhile, in the corners of the ceiling, four surveillance Den Den Mushi are placed, transmitting real-time, all-angle footage to the Cipher Pol headquarters in the RL1999 region, as well as to the Chamber of Power where the Five Elders reside, and Imu's Tree House in the Chamber of the Moon.
"Shurorororororo"
Caesar is excited, even trembling with excitement, though he still harbors some doubts. However, he has completely abandoned any thoughts of rushing back to study the "Land of the Dead" and "Ice Oni."
His amber eyes are fixed on the energy gate less than twenty meters in front of him. Its surface is dotted with starlight, and its edges emit a soft blue glow. The gate stands vertically, flush with the ground.
Caesar truly didn't expect that the hazmat suits he brought would end up being worn by himself, and he's wearing them willingly.
All because of this "gate" in front of him! A few days ago, he and the other researchers were briefed on the basic situation.
They were told that behind this "gate" lies another world, and their task is to test whether the air there is normal and whether the Den Den Mushi can function as usual.
Honestly, his first reaction was disbelief! But as the biochemical safety station gradually neared completion, and he saw a large contingent of soldiers armed with automatic rifles and even tanks, seriously constructing defensive fortifications outside, he began to believe it.
"Let me see if this is a conspiracy or the real deal," Caesar nervously licks his dry lips inside the hazmat suit.
In the next moment, the countless stars on the "gate" begin to rotate, faster and faster, almost forming circular lines, before disappearing, revealing a landscape of blue skies, white clouds, green mountains, and grassy fields.
It's like a window with incredible soundproofing!
"Someone is controlling this thing!"
This is the first key point Caesar notices in this instant.
"So, is that another world inside?"
A biochemical researcher points at the Stargate and hesitantly asks. Even though they were mentally prepared, seeing it in person is still unbelievable.
"Security personnel, please enter Stargate One."
The six CP7 members in bright yellow advanced hazmat suits exchange glances, then split into two groups, one in front and one behind, stepping through the Stargate leading to another world.
The width of the small Stargate was two meters, which was quite spacious for them. Among the first three to enter, one was holding a Den Den Mushi.
"Please have the inspection personnel enter Stargate One."
A cold, mechanical voice echoed from the speakers mounted on the wall.
"Finally, it's our turn."
Caesar, seeing the six people ahead of him actually step inside the Stargate, eagerly led his six researchers to follow.
Meanwhile, at the CIPHER POL headquarters in Area RL1999, Shepherd Ju Peter Saint was unusually present in the command center, standing alongside the logistics staff as they observed the various small screens on the large monitor.
Suddenly, three of the screens went black! Everyone's expressions turned serious at this sight, and Shepherd Ju Peter Saint furrowed his brows, as this indicated that the Den Den Mushi's signal could not transmit across the Stargate.
"This is troublesome."
The four Five Elders sitting in the Chamber of Power also felt a heavy weight in their hearts.
Topman Warcury Saint crossed his arms and said gravely, "It seems we'll need someone specifically assigned to relay information."
"But that way, we won't be able to see real-time footage from the other world," sighed Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro Saint, who was holding the First Generation Kitetsu.
Just then, a person clad in a thick hazmat suit emerged from the Stargate and spoke into the Den Den Mushi in their hand: "Report, according to the test, the Den Den Mushi functions normally on the other side. The air composition detection task is currently underway."
Shepherd Ju Peter Saint nodded and said softly, "So the signal obstruction is only at the Stargate? Then let's try a direct connection between both ends!"
The Den Den Mushi, despite its antiquated operation and reception methods, was functionally no different from modern camera equipment.
Like the small screens before them, they were actually connected to the Den Den Mushi via wires, which then transmitted the signal to the large monitor.
On the other side.
Caesar paid no attention to the bustling people around him, instead curiously scanning the environment. But the more he looked, the stranger he felt.
Because it was too normal!
"Shurororororo~~"
"Is this really another world? It looks like just ordinary mountains, ordinary grass, ordinary sky, and ordinary sea."
Caesar gazed disappointedly at the distant sea, then walked over to the researcher operating the detection equipment. Without asking anything, he glanced down at the data.
"Hmm, apart from the oxygen levels, the air composition and ratios are similar. There are no unknown substances either. It doesn't seem necessary to wear this hazmat suit."
Even so, he didn't dare to be the first to take it off and breathe the air here deeply.
"Hey, the compass works here, and it's stable, meaning the magnetic field here is fine!" another researcher nearby said, looking at the ordinary compass in his hand.
Hearing this, Caesar thought to himself that even if this wasn't another world, it probably wasn't an island in the Grand Line, but somewhere in the Four Seas.
Soon, the CP7 member who had left earlier returned with a Den Den Mushi connected to a thick black cable, and this time the call to the Cipher Pol headquarters on the other end was not interrupted again!
"We see it!!"
Shepherd Ju Peter Saint in the command hall, the Four Elders in the Chamber of Authority, and Imu in the Tree House of the Chamber of the Moon all had their eyes light up. A clear landscape appeared on the screen, accompanied by the sounds of wind, waves, and insects.
"Tsk tsk tsk, I never expected the first person to enter the New World would be Caesar, that kid," Imu chuckled softly as he sat on the sofa.
Although strictly speaking, Caesar wasn't the first to step through the Stargate, the problem was that Imu only knew him. The others were complete strangers to him.
"Report, the air here is fine. We recommend attempting to remove the protective suits for testing while further examining the soil, trees, seawater, and collecting plant and biological samples!"
"Permission granted."
