"A-Alex, a monster that looks like a monster is coming for us," Latifa stuttered.
As soon as those words left her lips, the young man immediately stopped conversing with the spirits.
"Close your eyes and don't look at it," Alex warned. "It's mostly harmless until it copies the appearance of the first person who looks at their reflection in its mirror."
"Can't we just kill it before it copies someone's appearance?" Latifa inquired.
"No." Alex shook his head and motioned for the fox lady to come closer to him. "The Mirror Doppleganger is invincible until it copies someone's appearance. Until then, no attacks can hurt it. In other words, it can't harm us, but we also cannot harm it."
Feeling anxious, Latifa hurriedly sat beside Alex and closed her eyes.
The young man did the same. The last thing he wanted was for the monster to copy his appearance and his abilities.
The Oathkeeper might not seem like a hard hitter, but getting bashed by a shield would definitely hurt!
