Inside the changing room, Delia was the first to scan Misty's figure from top to bottom.
"Misty, your body's honestly amazing!"
"Huh? Me?" Misty glanced at Delia's fair, full curves and laughed awkwardly. "C'mon, Delia, don't tease me like that!"
"I'm barely half your size. How could I compare?"
As she slipped out of her last piece of lace underwear, Misty began browsing through the selection of swimsuits provided by the private beach.
"Hey! Don't worry," Delia bumped Misty gently with her elbow, "massage a little more, and it'll grow!"
"Besides, your chest is cute—that's definitely going to earn you extra points in front of Kazuki."
She winked suggestively.
"Wha… what?! Delia, what are you talking about!" Misty's face turned scarlet in an instant.
"Points? Why would that get me points with Kazuki?!"
"Hmm? Aren't you two dating?" Delia tilted her head innocently, pretending not to know anything—nudging the relationship forward bit by bit.
"I… we're… not yet!" Misty flailed, hugging the swimsuit in her hands. "And even if we were, stuff like that… that's way too fast!"
"Ohh, I see!" Delia nodded knowingly. "Well, if you're seriously interested, then you'd better hurry up."
"Wouldn't want someone else to snatch him away!"
She meant to light a little fire under Misty—but to her surprise, Misty had already made peace with it.
"Oh, that? I'm not really worried. I've known from the start Kazuki's a bit of a perv." Misty casually threw on the tenth—not-so-conservative—swimsuit and twirled.
Delia blinked, a little surprised. "Wow, you're… really chill about this, huh?"
"Kazuki… I think he's going to be really strong in the future. And in this world, strong guys having multiple wives or lovers is just… normal. No point stressing over it. I just want to laugh and have fun with him every day. That's what makes me happy."
Hearing that, Delia exhaled with relief and nodded. Seems like Misty, Melanie, and I will be able to serve Kazuki in harmony going forward…
"Yeah. Kazuki is really strong," she added softly, cheeks flushing a little as her mind wandered.
"Huh? Delia, then… do you already have some weird relationship with Kazuki?" Misty took the opportunity to probe the question lingering in her heart.
"Me? Well…" Delia thought for a moment. Misty hasn't even clarified things with Kazuki yet… I shouldn't bring up the stuff we've already done. That might ruin his chances with her…
But she's sharp. A vague answer won't cut it. Sorry, Kazuki… I'm gonna say a little bad thing about you—please don't be mad!
"Back in Pallet Town, Kazuki and I looked out for each other—we helped each other a lot."
"We're kind of like… very close friends."
"But, well, he is a bit mischievous sometimes. Might've done a few weird things now and then… nothing serious! Don't overthink it, Misty!"
"Mm-hmm, I get it!" Misty nodded solemnly. "Guys like him sometimes… can't help themselves."
"I mean, sounds like he's tried something on you too, hasn't he?"
Delia furrowed her brows, replaying Misty's phrasing. Tried something?
Kazuki had teased her now and then, got her all flustered and breathless, but… that probably wasn't what Misty meant.
She probably meant the innocent kind of playful teasing.
"Uh… yeah. He is pretty playful sometimes!"
"Hah! Knew it! That guy—ugh!" Misty had been thinking about that incident back in Viridian Forest. Still, she wasn't jealous of Delia at all. On the contrary, she was already thinking about how to make Kazuki officially "include" Delia too.
It was almost like she'd already accepted Delia as the senior wife in their little household.
"Delia, do you hate Kazuki?"
"Hate him? No, no, no!" Delia quickly waved her hands. "I really like Kazuki!"
"He's mischievous, sure, but never in a bad way. Honestly, I find it kind of charming!"
"I'm really happy around him. He treated me to a luxury cruise, brought me to a private beach… He's a great guy!"
She thought she'd accidentally slandered Kazuki's character, so she rushed to clear things up.
"Well, if that's how you feel, don't worry, Delia. If the chance comes, I'll absolutely…" Misty trailed off mysteriously.
"Okay! Let's go swimming! The moment I saw the sea from the S.S. Anne, I couldn't wait!"
"Can you… help me?" Delia looked down at the sunscreen in her hand, confused. "With what?"
So the two chatted—Misty talking about castles, Delia about rooftops—and somehow, the conversation brought them closer.
Shaking her head with a smile, Delia strolled onto the beach.
"Tada! Kazuki, how's this body look?!" Misty bounded over, twisting her hips playfully in front of him.
Kazuki gave her outfit a once-over. "Not bad. You've highlighted all the good parts—smooth legs, slim waist…"
"And hidden the weaker spots. A very strategic choice!"
Misty blinked, slowly parsing his praise. "…You! Ugh, annoying!"
"I'm not talking to you anymore!"
She gave him a light smack and darted off toward the sea.
"Hey, Misty! Come put some sunscreen on me!"
"Delia, let Kazuki do it! I'm going swimming!" Misty was already lost to the ocean's call, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
Delia had really wanted Kazuki to help, but worried Misty might get suspicious. Now that Misty had said it herself…
Her heart bloomed as she walked straight toward Kazuki.
"Kazuki… can you help me?" She smiled sweetly, holding up the sunscreen. "I can't reach all these spots."
Kazuki, ever composed, took the bottle. "You sure you want me to do it? What if a tidal wave hits us?"
"That won't happen," Delia whispered, undoing the bow behind her back and slowly lying down. "Besides… you already filled me up before we left the ship."
"I'm in Sage Mode right now."
But just as she got into position, Delia peeked back up.
"Still… just be careful, okay?"
"You know how… sensitive I am in some places."
"I got you," Kazuki grinned mischievously, his fingers drifting toward her slender waist.
"Ah—mm—bad Kazuki, that's the spot!" Delia trembled lightly beneath his touch.
"Haha, all right, all right, I'll behave."
After playing around a bit, he finally got to work, rubbing the sunscreen gently into every contour.
Even though he tried his best to avoid her sensitive zones, Delia's thoughts were running wild the entire time.
Once he was done, she hurried back to the changing room to swap out of the swimsuit that had gotten wet… awkward.
"Eh? Delia, were you wearing that one just now?" Misty asked, puzzled, as she returned from her swim.
"Ah! That one? Kazuki said it didn't look good, so I changed!" Delia quickly pulled Kazuki along as an excuse.
Misty gave Kazuki a teasing grin. "Hmph! So you just wanted to see Delia's outfit changes, huh?"
"Well, you're hiding yours. I'll just enjoy hers instead." Kazuki lounged lazily on a beach chair, utterly unfazed.
"You two have truly exquisite figures," came the voice of a beach attendant admiring their curves.
"Ah! Thank you!" Delia and Misty beamed as they accepted the drinks.
"With figures like yours, I bet you'd win the Porta Vista Beauty Contest!"
"Beauty Contest?" Misty sipped her watermelon juice.
"Yep! It's our annual event. Huge cash prizes!"
"Thanks for the suggestion," Delia replied politely. "But I'm not really into showing off."
"Yeah! I don't want random guys seeing me in so little!" Misty chimed in, standing firmly with Delia.
The attendant glanced nervously at Kazuki, instantly realizing how awkward things had become.
"S-Sorry! I was just making a recommendation!"
"Actually… there's also a Pokémon Costume Contest!"
"I noticed you brought a lot of Poké Balls—must be trainers, right?"
"It's held alongside the beauty contest and has great prizes too! The winner even gets a free three-day pass to the luxury section of Seaside Wharf!"
Kazuki's ears perked up at the mention of Seaside Wharf. Right on cue, the system chimed in.
[Ding! Mission Triggered — First Champion: Win the Costume Contest using any Pokémon!]
[Reward: Minor Champion Aura – All team Pokémon gain 10% EXP boost for 7 days!
Friend of the Ocean – Increases Water-type Pokémon affection by 30%]
What kind of quest is this?
Hah! Wait… does this mean I'm destined for the spotlight?
Kazuki chuckled as he read the mission details.
A Pokémon costume contest, huh? But I don't even know makeup! I can only describe lipstick as "red" or "not-so-red!"
Winning this might be harder than going type-disadvantaged in the Indigo League!
Still, that EXP boost and Water-type affection bonus looked very tempting.
And there wasn't any real danger involved.
Alright. I'm in. Let's make it fun!
"I'm interested in this contest. Could you sign me up?"
"Of course! Right away!" The attendant had assumed she'd upset their VIP guest, so now that Kazuki spoke up, she hurried off to process the entry.
Meanwhile, Misty and Delia were stunned.
They leaned in close, four soft curves squishing against Kazuki's cheeks as they asked in unison:
"You're entering… a Pokémon costume contest?"
