Eight traits.
Three red, three purple, and two blue.
Compared to Uchiha Madara's six red, three purple, four blue, one green, two gray, and one black, there's still a gap. But hey, at least I don't have any black traits dragging me down!
No negative attributes slowing me down.
With my current abilities perfectly optimized, I should be able to go toe-to-toe with Madara, right?
Yamanaka Shinno clenched his fists, warming up his body and adapting to the surge in strength. Once ready, he transformed once more into the likeness of Senju Tobirama.
With a single thought, he followed the Flying Thunder God mark and instantly returned to the cavernous graveyard in the mountains.
Inside, two shadow clones had been left behind to stall Madara or Black Zetsu, giving the real body time to activate and adjust to the new traits. The moment Shinno arrived, one of the clones dispersed into chakra smoke, transferring its memories to him.
He signaled the remaining clone, which nodded silently and vanished using the Flying Thunder God technique.
...
"Cough, cough..."
Uchiha Madara lowered his head slightly, coughing lightly.
His Sharingan had already evolved into the Eternal Mangekyō without anyone noticing. Even though these weren't his original eyes, as the strongest Uchiha and a master of Yin-Yang Release, he could forcefully reignite their dormant power at the cost of added strain on his aging body.
The technique would burn up his remaining life force, permanently damaging these borrowed eyes and leaving him even weaker and frailer. But against an opponent like this, mere three-tomoe Sharingan wouldn't cut it.
Madara understood this better than anyone—he was old.
In the past year or two, even walking had become a struggle. In a few more years, would he need a scythe as a walking stick just to move around?
If he had met this fake Tobirama a few years earlier, he wouldn't have bothered with illusions. He would've just picked up his scythe and chopped the bastard's head off himself.
Back then, upon hearing about Tobirama's death, he had sent Black Zetsu to investigate multiple times. He had even gone to Kumogakure in secret after the village returned Tobirama's corpse to Konoha.
Did this imposter really think he could fool Madara?
...
"So much preparation… It would be a shame if it all went to waste, right?"
After absorbing his clone's memories, Shinno glanced at Madara, who had just now deigned to break free of the illusion.
A smirk tugged at Shinno's lips.
He had meticulously laid out multiple backup plans—not just to prevent Madara from escaping, but also to avoid being pursued, counter any ambush from Black Zetsu, and ensure that an incomplete victory wouldn't come back to bite him.
Yet despite all that, Madara had simply sat there, completely unfazed.
Not even Black Zetsu had made a move, remaining respectfully at Madara's side, his expression unreadable.
Such arrogance! Such confidence! Such unshakable composure!
They hadn't even bothered dispelling the illusion because they hadn't perceived any real danger.
Or worse—had they just been enjoying the illusion?
No way... It was just a gender-swap illusion!
Madara wasn't into that kind of thing, right?!
...
"Aging is a truly sorrowful thing. Every creature, when nearing the end of its life, becomes just as wretched and pitiful."
Madara raised his wrinkled, bark-like hand. Beneath his thick, gnarled fingers were the calluses of a lifetime spent wielding weapons. His palms were rough, marked with deep creases.
It was a stark contrast to the smooth, unmarred skin he had in the illusion.
In that world, he had achieved everything. The combined power of the Uchiha and Senju had birthed infinite possibilities.
Though it had been through a different method, was this not yet another interpretation of the Uchiha's stone tablet?
Indeed...
The illusion wasn't just a trick. No—Infinite Tsukuyomi... was the only true and eternal answer.
...
"And then?"
Shinno stared at the ever-theatrical Madara, struggling to come up with a response.
Sorry! Not knowing how to bluff was his fault!
When he got back, he was definitely signing up for a training course!
Not to outdo the King of Bluffing, of course, but at least to become a decent sidekick and not ruin the atmosphere...
...
"Heh... youth, brimming with energy, reckless and fearless."
Madara crossed his arms, his tone dripping with disdain.
"So you think just because you have Tobirama's Flying Thunder God, you dare appear before me again?"
The first time, he had assumed Shinno's presence was a coincidence—perhaps driven by intuition or some fragment of intelligence. But after recognizing him, Shinno had actually dared to return.
Did he think Madara was old and feeble, his strength nearly spent?
Did he believe Flying Thunder God would allow him to escape unscathed even if he lost?
Or perhaps... he even had the audacity to think he could kill Madara?
These kids nowadays... truly arrogant.
...
Seated in his chair, Madara radiated an overwhelming, oppressive presence. Azure chakra flared around him as skeletal structures formed, encasing his body in translucent, ghostly armor.
The second stage of Susanoo—
The enormous skeletal warrior loomed, mirroring Madara's sneering expression.
With a casual grip, Susanoo's chakra-forged sword swung down at Shinno in a devastating arc.
BOOM!
Dust and rubble erupted as the cavern shook from the impact.
A second slash shattered the narrow entrance, sending debris tumbling down. Sunlight streamed into the once-dark chamber, illuminating both the towering Susanoo and the colossal, statue-like figure behind it—the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
...
"Maybe... I know more than just Flying Thunder God?"
From within the dissipating dust cloud, Shinno's liquid form reassembled.
Though Water Transformation couldn't completely negate the damage from a chakra blade, the Zero-Frame Startup trait had granted him the reaction speed to split his body apart before impact.
Taking in the sight of the menacing Susanoo and the imposing Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Shinno clapped his hands together. His vast chakra surged forth, condensing into a high-pressure water blade aimed directly at them—intending to cleave them both in half!
