They both sprinted to find the nearest stairway. While Ashrosaliera ascended from the ground floor, Sally jumped down from the fourth floor of this five-story mansion.
While Ash was climbing the stairs to the second floor—halfway up the building—she suddenly heard a scream from above.
"RAAAAAHHH!"
The end of a pole staff came crashing down toward Ash's face, as the canine girl jumped down from the 3rd floor and slammed down onto her. Her long, wild hair fluttered like an octopus' legs.
Ash dashed backwards to dodge, and Sally landed safely, using the length of the staff and its friction to slow the fall. When Sally landed, she saw Ash sweep the staff from the side, knee-high.
Sally quickly jumped over it, yet the staff made contact as Ash swung right into the lower half of Sally's staff. The canine girl lost balance trying to hold and fell over her back. Ashrosaliera pulled her weapon back and jumped forward, pulling the thing over her head and slamming it downwards.
