When Zofia tried defying the rules and sneakily slid a pencil over to Ashrosaliera, she got her first warning, and Thuong herself returned it. Then, when Zofia apologized to Ash, she got her second and last warning.
They both believed that Thuong was just bluffing, yet none of them dared to move a muscle. Their minds were racing in horror and stress rather than words and answers. What if she was not bluffing? What if they were expelled if they dared to do anything stupid right here, right now?
As time passed, more warnings were given to the class; a simple glance, words directed to someone else rather than the whole class and the professor, or unauthorized hand gestures would all be pointed out and warned.
They got seven minutes left.
