Chapter 46 - The Edge of the World

Chapter 46 – The Edge of the World

Part 1: A God Without a Nation

The smoke from the cathedral still blackened the sky behind him.

Ariz didn't look back. He never did.

Each step eastward took him further from the continent where his name was buried, burned, and reborn.

The road he followed wasn't on any map.

But the System knew it.

[System Directive: Cross-Continental Route Initialized]➤ Destination: Bloodmoon Continent➤ Status: Restricted to Non-Human Entry➤ Note: Divine access prohibited

"You are no longer bound by human walls. This world has five continents. But only one has a place for your kind."

He traveled alone.

No caravan.

No disguise.

No coin.

Just the clothes on his back and the shadows that moved like loyal wolves at his side.

Three villages passed him.

They stared at his eyes. His skin. The sigils tattooed across his chest like prophecy.

But none dared ask questions.

Some whispered "demon."Others "god."

He answered none of them.

A week passed.

He reached the coastal borderlands—ruined ports, sand-covered docks, half-eaten ships leaning into forgotten waves.

No ships crossed to Bloodmoon anymore.

The waters were cursed.

At least, that's what the humans said.

But the System had a different path.

[System Beacon Located – Umbrakin Ruin Detected]➤ Location: Coastal Cavern – "Weeper's Maw"➤ Purpose: Shadow Gate (One-way)➤ Requirement: Umbrakin Bloodline – Verified

*"They sealed the gate when the last of your kind died.

You are the last.So it opens now."*

The cave was at the base of a cliff, veiled by wind and centuries.

He entered without fear.

It recognized him.

The air grew colder. Thicker. Magic pulsed through the stones—old magic, buried beneath salt and silence.

At the center of the cave sat a ring of broken black stone.

His foot touched the center.

The gate ignited.

A vertical slit of violet fire carved through the air like a sword through a memory.

He stood before it.

Behind him: a world that exiled him.

Before him: a continent where the shadows never bowed to light.

Ariz stepped through.

"You are no longer a visitor in this world. You are its reckoning."

The sky on the other side was black.

Not night.

Always.

A blood-red moon hung above cragged mountains and ironwood trees that groaned with ancient life.

The soil felt alive.

Something growled in the distance—but didn't approach.

Not yet.

Ariz's eyes burned brighter.

And he smiled.

Not out of joy.

But because for the first time since his grandfather died—

He was standing where he belonged.
