Mousan—the monster—hadn't moved for a while now. He had long lost consciousness, and it wouldn't be much longer before he died. The black blood had already reached his stomach.
Elmyra, witnessing the horrifying scene, tried to rise to her feet, but her limbs wouldn't respond. She collapsed again with a desperate cry. Despite being on the same level as Kael, she felt her strength waning just by being near him—as if her very essence was being nullified.
She tried again. And again, she fell.
Kael heard her cries. Horrid, animalistic wails that tore through the silence of the training ground.
'Don't worry, Elmyra… I'll end your suffering soon.'
He lifted his head, expressionless, and glanced toward Mousan—still, silent, and slowly being devoured.
'I'll absorb you both. Make you one with me. Then I'll hunt the ones who did this to you… and drag them into a world where I'll tear them apart every second they exist. I'll give them a hell that never ends.'
